If you think about it re: Miguel, it makes an amount of sense that he's describable in vampiric terms, considering how spiders actually eat.....🤮 And honestly, I hate to say it, but in Part 3 I'm less afraid for Jeff and more worried for Rio....🥺
Yesssss! I watched the first half of this reaction before bed last week and then I got up to finish it in the morning and it was gone. Can't wait to get back into it
@itsryanramirez I noticed when she said the voice is the same as Kate abishop. But i still had to double check. But wouldn't making a comment also mean you had to go into the comments section? Hahahaha
The collective groan of my theater when the "to be continued" showed up lmao. It was definitely an experience I wont' forget. Probably one of the best times I had watching a movie in theaters. Just behind Infinity War and Endgame for me.
The Director said that the reveal that Miles is the first anomaly is a meta-commentary on what led to the creation of the first Black Spider-Man. Some fans believe that Miles doesn't deserve his power or belong in the mask.
Yeh this movie mostly takes place in Miguel's timeline and dimension. Miguel is Spiderman 2099 from the comics. He had his own comic and everything. And this movie directly references No Way Home when Miguel mentions Dr Strange and "that little nerd" from Earth 19999 at 7:44 - so it it kinda tied to that dimension in that sense. It also directly references Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spiderman and Toby Macguire - not sure if you spotted those references though? But yeh these animated Spiderman movies are just freakin awesome. Some of THE best superhero movies out there. Good stuff :)
This movie is incredible. And I would say it's MCU, despite it's Sony. Because Miguel talks about dr Strange and Peter from Marvel movie, and they show Andrew Garfield spider and also Tobey Maguire spider
An interesting and different style of movie for a suggestion... Across The Universe. It's a period piece/romance set in the days of the Vietnam War and the Detroit riots and told exclusively through Beatles songs. Lots of musician cameos and clever shots.
I'd like to make a suggestion if it's OK with you guys: Would you be interested in going into something different and react to comedy skits like Caleb City and Viva La Dirt League? They make short videos about anime tropes, gaming logic as well as everyday life stuff. Would be cool if you got into those.
@@TheOctobersReact credit where credit is due, proud of you for not saying anything when they used the word. Maybe your opinion has changed after learning it wasn’t some “slang word used by kids”
This film was weird in that it didn't resolve much, rather it set up what I assume will happen in the next movie. I still liked it but only being half a story hurt it, hopefully the next movie will retroactively fix that.
Spider-Verse 3 I think Coming Between 2026/2027 it's End of The Trilogie. Spider-Verse 3 Miles Morales and Prowler Together vs Sinister 6 and Spot. Spot Powerfull Villains First in Comics it's Weird Seconde Time Make in Dome in Manhattan Third Time Stop Biggest Villains Spider-Man Everything : Kindred. Universe 42 it's Universe Peter Parker Not Spider-Man. Marvel Comics Book Perfect Like Spider Verse 1 and Spider Verse 2 and Loki S1 and S2. Spider-Verse 1 and 2 Connect in MCU !!!!
The whole "canon event" theory is too hard to swallow, IMO. How can the entire universe care if one mortal police captain on one planet dies in some criminal attack, as opposed to dying a few decades later of natural causes? Does the whole universe hinge on Uncle Ben? That makes no sense. All these mortal human characters are going to die eventually anyway. And the universe existed for billions of years before they were born. And planet Earth got along just fine for billions of years without Spiderman or Uncle Ben or Captain Stacy. And the human race existed on planet Earth for a hundred thousand years before any of these people were born. What could possibly make these insignificant events so "canon" that the universe will cease to exist if they don't happen? The only thing I can think of is if they break the fourth wall in the third movie and Miles learns that his whole reality is just a comic book. Which would be a really, really, REALLY stupid ending.
I mean because it's a spider man researching the canon event phenomenon it could be that he only found out the connected canon of the spider men. We still don't know if something like this exists for other heroes yet since we haven't seen a multiversal gathering of any yet.
Ok, so the spiderverse movies are meta commentaries on superhero movies but specifically spiderman stories. The first movie plays with common spiderman tropes and use them to build its plot. The second movie does that too but to a deeper degree. The meta part is that we the audience know that they are comic book characters in a spiderman story, but they don't. But they do know about the "cannon events" that happens throughout their stories. The cannon is just narrative moments that happen in their stories. Like Uncle Ben dying or giving up on being spiderman. These universes only exist to be spiderman stories, you don't read comic books to learn about person number #48 and how they're day is going, you read them for the superhero who is going to save person number #48. So the cannon event theory is that if they change their stories to much from how they are supposed to go than they risk destroying their universe. However, at the end we see Gwen change cannon with her dad showing that it is possible to change. None of the characters have to ever learn that they are in a comic book story, that's not the meta part of the movie. What is a part of the meta is that they know about the narrative in the stories and look for ways around it.
Its alot to understand but I don't think its very difficult to understand once you realize these movies are meta (just not to the same degree the Deadpool movies are.)
I know that the will absolutely cook in the next movie But all I hope for is a happy ending for Gwen and miles to be together Despite some people's disapproval of them two being together
She killed a monster who was wrecking property and nearly killing people, who just turned out to be a human himself. It is similar to a policeman shooting an escaping criminal in self defense and killing them, even if the criminal was drunk and a wreck.
