After watching endless videos I just purchaced a e revo vxl. I don't think I can sleep until it reaches my hand damn. Wanted the Xmaxx but I remembered that I needed a cellphone lol.
My 1st Gen E Revo hit 73.3 with 25/38 gear. Arrma blx185 and 2250 kv arrma motor. Had to grind motor mount to fit pinion. Tires Road crushers. Handles well love the Revo and My arrma typhon. Good luck guys💯😎
I use the same one it's not just decent it's the best. I've clocked my first gen Traxxas E Revo truggy at 68.2 mph with 26/54 gearing. That wasn't even full throttle either and it was of course on two 3S lipo batteries in series. Crazy fast.
6s is crazy fast with the e revo I have 2 older ones. Both 20 54 gearing. Just installed spool in the rear with machined gear. Go easy no full throddle....roll it on slow.
@@fabulousbrad Mine is still at mod 1 gearing with a 25 tooth Hot Racing pinion and a mod 1 Hot Racing 36 tooth spur gear. They are both black steel gears. Mine will easily do 75 mph no problem but it takes a bit of an effort to get that extra 3-5 mph lol. I’m tapped out or capped I should say at 80.7 mph. It doesn’t seem to wanna go any faster.
Just change the gearing if you're looking for Speed, however if you bump the gearing up to high keep it out of the grass or you will burn your motor up
@@jamesstubbs8954 I disagree with that. The losi super rock rey will run away from the e revo straight out of the box. The e revo only does 49 out of the box on 6s which the SRR will do around 60 mph on 8s and has tons more torque-I know the losi has 2 cells more, but it also weighs a lot more.
Just my 2 cents, I got a new Summit about 2 months ago and haven't had the first problem, got a new EREVO 2.O about 3 weeks ago and even though I'm only running 4s at the moment I still haven't had a problem, I wonder if anyone has ever wondered that maybe it's the driver and not the truck??
I have my older 1/8 Brushless, Got a some top of the line battery’s, I can go max speed because it will just flip, I have big tires, and even going close to max, I have never used full throttle. If I use max throttle from the start it does a double backflip lol
Speaking from experience, you need a lot more room. I took my E-Revo up to 68 mph, but I needed 650 feet to do it. And believe it or not, you need to remove the rear spoiler, it creates too much downforce at high speeds and makes the front end too light and hard to control.
Speed_808 This was the largest area I had access to that day unfortunately. I wish I could’ve tested with longer passes. I was able to get the same results as someone else on TH-cam that ran it on a longer road, so I felt it was sufficient for this video. I guess that makes sense, but that’s surprising that you’d have to remove the wing to get more speed out of it. That’s a pretty big stretch of road to run it! Sounds awesome. Thanks for watching!

My Version One E Revo Brushless 6s has gone over 55mph with no problem. I don't see much of a difference between V1 and V2. So much Hype was made about V2 and it's just Not much different. My V1 has upgraded gearing and steel axles. I have No issues.
MoparLuver74 this does have a different power train in it and no slipper clutch basically the Xmaxx Cush drive system. Tires are better. Body with Xmaxx style mounting is awsome. I don't own one but do have an Xmaxx
49.2MPH that's almost worthy of a bone stock Nero, with the exception of the 2.0 weighing in at 11.2LBS & the Nero at 13.4LBS without the batteries. The Nero is rated for 60MPH running and the lighter weight 2.0 at 70MPH running. I sold all 3 of my Nero's & my Fazon. I did enjoy running basically a 6S powered all aluminum Summit... Those diff locks are totally awesome!!! I'm waiting to see a 6S Summit running all the 2.0 drive train. I'm sure Traxxas already has it cooking 😈 Don't get me wrong, I love the E-Revo 2.0!!! Now to have the diff's lock 😈

BUILTLIGHTWOUNDTIGHT The Summit is a fun truck without a doubt. I had one a few years ago, but I bet it’s a whole different monster on 6s with a brushless system! Sounds like a sick setup. That would be cool to see Traxxas update the Summit along with other models. If not, I’m sure people will find a way to convert the new E-Revo to a Summit.

Right on point? Hmm, seems like the car was going more like 35 mph. I will test this theory as I have a real radar gun that I purchased from amazon, it is accurate up to =-1mph. So very accurate. I will have my dad clock the speed of my rc car with the radar gun and I will put my iPhone with this app downloaded in the car and see if both speeds match up or not.
My v1 on 4S tops out around 43mph with gearing I can run pack after pack in. Honestly, much more than that and it's not that controllable offroad. All my RC's are offroad and are geared to go around 40mph on either 2S (stampede 4x4/converted jato) or 4S (revo/savage). In the grass or at the skate park, 40mph is a handful for me. Guessing this is 6S on stock gearing with room to go up without having it thermal?
Its either Traxxas jipping their customers or Arrma is Just Killing the game. 530 dollars for this and its struggle to hit 50mph but puts 70 on the box. the arrma talion 6s comes with a pinion and it hits 71mph for 499.00
Tee Tellis It’s rare to find a vehicle that actually hits the speed on the box with the stock setup. Traxxas usually includes the high speed pinion, but they did not with this model. Arrma definitely has some awesome vehicles though. Thanks for watching!
Tee Tellis 70mph is what it can make. I've had mine for a week and changed the hearing and doing 64 that's fast enough for me anything after that is really unusable and just starts doing flips
Guillermo h arrma talion,kraton,typhon all hit exactly what’s it says out of the box on 6s the outcast is a stunt truck so it’s an exception. I have them all they come with the speed pinion to do exactly what’s promoted.
You did state that you are running it right out of the box. For those of you who don'y think you can get 70+ out of it I would direct you here. traxxas.com/products/landing/e-revo/ Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Battery & Speed Data section. Notice the gear ratio changes they make to achieve certain speeds. With that being said, I think 50 mph is pretty good right out of the box and in such a short distance.

Can I please ask. My mind is going crazy over trying to pick a truck. Out of all honesty, I know you have driven these, what is the better Traxxas? the E revo 6S the Maxx with wide body maxx or the Sledge? At the moment I also have the option to buy a Used Traxxas Xmaxx 1/5 scale which is cheap as the others I mentioned. Just need some guidance as I haven’t driven any of them. Please what’s your honest thoughts on the above trucks I mentioned?
All are great vehicles, but I would probably pick the X-Maxx or Sledge if I were in your shoes. If you value performance, the Sledge would most likely handle the best out of those options from what I’ve seen. If you don’t care as much about handling, I’d choose the X-Maxx because it’s a ton of fun to drive. 😄
Play with the gearing a bit n you can hit 60. That’s a bit fast to have fun but it’s cool to rip around. I keep my EMAXX around 45 but it’s topped out bout 62... WAY too fast for a truck built for bashing but fun. I’ll sub to your channel n check it out 👍🇺🇸🧀 the cheeze is for Wisconsin
Only on the second charge of my batteries and both my servos failed on the new Erevo. Called Traxxas and they are sending me 2 servos. Check the Traxxas forums others are also having dead servo problems

I just got my e revo and I can't do speed runs out the box and goes into 50% cut off any tips and I don't have the link module everything is stock any tips?
I have adjusted the spoiler on mine to a more flush with the body angle and it can now reach 65 with 3s lipos and no gear change. I also lifted it an inch.
Both are great vehicles overall. The Kraton has a stronger suspension setup, but the E-Revo 2.0 has a better drivetrain from my experience. The E-Revo 2.0 is a great truck for casual driving. If you’re planning to jump the truck a lot, I’d probably go with the Kraton. 👍

Someone else tested the top speed of the E-Revo with a different method and got the exact same results. Seems accurate to me.
same here overkill. i matched to my digital dash speedometer on my car, they were exact.
That was a short run buddy. longer next time, and try 25/54 gear should pull 65 on 35c 3s. You will still have pretty good low end ...happy bashing
This is a Revo 2.0 and you don't use 25 pinion gear to achieve 65+ if you want 65+ you use 18 pinion and 46 spur gears.

Integy make the best shock springs for v1 I think these shocks are the same.
20lbs blue springs at the rear stop all the sagging.

I agree, 50mph is a great speed out of the box. It's more than enough speed for what people are going to be doing with this truck.
I think you need a lil more room ,( Had volume down , don't know if you talked about it ) if you had it at FULL throttle ?

You can buy a higher speed pinion. I haven't checked to see if if you can purchase any spur gears.

None of them handle as good as the revo... I have all of them.. The mini 1/16 the first e revo and the 2.0

With the correct batteries i hit 55mph out the box....I changed pinion and spur and got up to 85mph

A did a street rc build with the money I got from selling my old car. Now you would think i'd put the 2000 or so dollars on something usefull like college... but no i spent it on a mamba monster xlx strapped it onto my street car build, and that car went like 80+ mph!

I have a gyro that really helps at high speeds, and i generally don't use it with 12s lipo (im not a very good driver)
