    Really enjoyed this review and having one on order, arriving in a few weeks has made me even happier. I’m going to watch this a few times before we take the car so I can get the feel for where things are. Thank you Harry, great review!

    I've bought phev Tucson on August 2022. On full charge I've done between 35 up to 45 miles depends on weather conditions, temperature and driving style. Impressive. Done 16000 miles and love it.

    Excellent review - thank you! Nice to see such an emphatic recommendation rather than a ‘you should consider it’ type of conclusion.

      The fact is there are lots of great cars out there, and in a lot of segments they manage to seperate themselves out and each suit a different type of customer.
      In this case I know that if I were going to buy a family crossover I would buy a Tucson, which makes it nice and easy to be emphatic.

    I got my plug in tucson in January. N line in shadow grey. I love it, a round trip to my work 52 miles with a charged battery i can easily achieve 130+mpg. Country roads. I couldn't justify the extra for the n line S. Really really happy with it. Great review 👍

    Just bought a two year old PHEV -replacing a 2015 Tiguan. We wanted a 4wd and plugin and this ticked the box. Really impressed with it so far.

    To be fair Harry,that's the ONLY exact reason I went for the Ultimate and with the black leather and NOT the N lines...so,spot on lol!😅

      Alcantara is a great Material for weight saving, grip and glare reduction but it's not so good against apple slices or jam 😅

    The piano black round the radio and ventilation system is nice still you start touching it easily scratch. Other than that it is spectacular. Have one hybrid non plug in and really nice vehicle.

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's pretty much the story with any piano black, not unique to Hyundai

    P.P.S...And,if you like "sporty",and a really cool take on the exterior and an alcantara and leather interior to match...check out the "N" line, and "N Line S",no more performance,but,the looks are def "on point"...very nice..👌...

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do like the N line seats but I think the ultimate trim would stand up better to small children and sticky fingers

    Hey harry...I am deliberating between this and the sportage. I gotta ask...how tall are you? you actually looked a bit cramped in the back seat, but I had thought both the Tucson and Sportage both had generous leg room in the back....

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      5'11" or 180cm, and I'm plenty comfortable in the back of the Tucson

    Another comparable suv to consider reviewing would be the mitsubishi outlander phev almost the same range price with a different take on it. Great video!

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mitsubishi pulled out of the UK market three years ago, and unless they've done something drastic to the Outlander in that time it gets absolutely thrashed by the Tucson or just about any other PHEV currently on the market.

    • @mathieularocque1953
      @mathieularocque1953 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm in canada, the 2023 version of the outlander has a bigger battery 20kwh, bigger electric motor, a 1 pedal mode (like every EV), a power mode which I think was not on the 2022 version) , a 1 speed transmission (instead of the cvt) and for the rest I'm not sure

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've just looked on the internet and it's a brand new generation compared to what we ever got. The previous one sold well here initially cause it was first on market and then I think they sort of ran out of money to do anything with it so it fell behind everything else. The new (current) one certainly looks much better, but the chances of me getting to drive one are slim unfortunately
      Edit: Just seen it platform shares with the Nissan X Trail, which we should have on the channel sometime soon

      My mate has the mitubishi he wants to get rid asap. As he says great around time but dont think about driving around twisty roads. So much roll and the performance is terrible.

    "you won't get a lot of range" - very informative! Can we please get the miles it is ranked to do on battery only and how much it does in reality?

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      The way I drive, at motorway speeds 17 miles, round town between 40 and 50. WLTP range is 38 miles. Of course, you won't drive exactly like me.

    How would you compare it with Citroen C5X plug in hybrid? particularly for used car market?

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My natural inclination is to recommend the estate for selfish dynami driving reasons, but between the Tucson's excellent interior practicality, superior assist software, 5 year warranty and AWD I would have to recommend it. Plus the C5X is probably less fun to drive, it's incredibly comfortable though so if you prioritise that or have lots of long journeys planned the Citroen might be the choice, it will also be more economical to run on a long journey.
      Also whenever buying used go with the best value your offered Balanced with what the resale might be when your done combined with a solid, well documented, service history.

    Hey Harry. May I ask which you prefer between the Plug in Hybrid Ultimate versions of the Tucson and the Santa Fe and why? (Feel free to be as detailed as you like. I am in nerd mode and ready to read. 🙂)

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      The thing with the two cars is they basically can't be separated on luxury or how nice they are to sit in as a driver, however because the drivetrain is exactly the same the Santa Fe ends up being heavier, more expensive, slower and not as good dynamically. The only reason to buy the Santa Fe is if you need those 7 seats/the massive boot but otherwise the Tucson matches it everywhere else and beats it in some places

  • @BRIANFAIRBROTHER
    @BRIANFAIRBROTHER ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think what all reviewers miss is the actual practicality of the boot space. I am a golfer and I dont want to put my clubs in diagonally. I dont want to take clubs out of my bag. I just want to lie them parallel across the front of the boot like Zi can currently do with my Mazda CX5. So today I went to a dealer and walked in with my golf clubs and asked to put them in the boot. Guess what, they easily fitted. So the car is on my list now😂

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think it's possible to overstate just have severely I don't care how well golf clubs fit into any car. I also can't think of any C segment crossover where you wouldn't be able to fit golf clubs in the boot

      Always had VW before and last one was a Golf GTE. Just got replaced with a Tucson Hybrid 230hbp. Can’t compare the quality with the VW. Hyundai is a lot better and it feels like an airplane this Tucson. The power and efficiency is superb. Love the Hyundai. So no Seat or Skoda or VW

    Sadly I think the front end is HIDEOUS! Much too aggressive. The rear says "Mustang" in styling. No doubting the value for money or the quality, but the face means it is a NO from me.
