Love your bike..I vintage race a 84 Husky cr500 nationally. They were a 1 year bike different frame highest developed twin shock husky made. It's a tough bike to ride, an absolute monster to start, I've been to the biggest vintage races in the country and have never seen another one. Was a Honda rider back in the day, bought the Husky new just because it was cool
Looks like it works great, onl thing I can see you might consider to add is a solid mount chain tensioner roller under the swing arm pivot, hate to see you throw a chain.
Thanks for your comment. The spring loaded roller tensioner on the bottom run was standard on the Twinshock huskies and as far as I can see most of us still run them. Have done a couple of seasons now with the standard set up and haven't had any chain derails. Though the later evo huskies don't have the tensioner and use upper and lower rollers as you suggest, so guess I'll leave as it is, being one of the few things we haven't broken yet.... Word of warning just don't run the chain too tight as its hard to check quickly with the heavily sprung tensioner, too tight and you'll take out the gearbox output shaft bearing and it's a full strip to replace. Just don't ask me how I know..
Great bike.. love it!! I have 10 of those Huskys in my garage 125-430 WR/CR/XC 1982-1983. Greetings from Sweden.
Looks like a winner, i saw one back in the 80, at a Honda dealer, the one I saw had a yeller seat and a white frame. Have fun bruh.😎
Nice build! Looks and sounds stunning.

Great video. Where did you purchase the 570 barrel?
Where could I find one of these engines ?
