    Great job and glad he likes it, I have just upgraded to a 2000w 72v diy ebike which is pretty fast but only got a 45amp controller at the moment but still gets me around 45 mph which is scary on a 12 year old mountain bike lol take care gaz ✌

      LMAO, yes just 45mph is dangerously fast, especially if bike is very light, lol. Hey, Ive been at that speeds and man, my thoughts on a flat out, wipe out, or a bump that send your front up was too much for me to have on my mind while going that fast at 45mph. Ive learned to just be ok with 36mph and stress free of not being on my mind while going that fast. Stay safe and ride smart over but not too over, mph.

    I use these "Topeak Versa Mount" things to mount stuff all over my aluminum frame ebike. They are kinda pricey, but they work well. My battery uses 6 of them, but that's cause it has to be installed on the top of the top tube. I have not been nearly as fast as you guys, but they hold up finr for me on offroad...I went 40kph down a pot hill filled gravel road and nothing budged at all. I do loctite everything though (nail polish works in a pinch if you got any women around).

      @@nicod974 not sure what you mean about the maintenance of the fat tires. I replaced the original tires with some low drag tires, and I’ve gotten over 2000 miles on them. Only just had to replace the back tire due to wearing it out. They were a little more expensive than others I could have gone for, but 2000+ miles is not too expensive.

    If you need extra clearance for the battery beneath the downtube, you can run 27.5 fork if they are 26" tires, or a 29" fork for 27.5" tires. No issue with rigid forks, of course, but you dont want to bottom out your tire on your battery the fork compresses and bottoms out.

I have never tried idoing this, but if you can put some kind of a spacer beneath the crowm race before you install it, that will do the same thing. They dont sell anything...at least they didnt when I looked years ago for a different reason. If the steerer tube has already been cut short though there wont be enough left for a diy crown race spacer.

    Hi I've been watching video
    . I've got fat tyre bike from amazon look a bit like a motor bike 20in wheel it came with 750wat I've upgrade to 1500wat had to use 3 washers either side my drop out is 190mm. I had to leave spacer on for caliper for all I adjust the slide it's on full where is won't go no further so brake works fine. But when you menshioed that spacer for disc mine is still on I'm 75yrs old I've had about 30 different bikes up to 8.000wat 72v. Now normally I take that spacer of the screws took some getting loose they are torx type. Normaly I put a torx arm on but the bike has good locking washers that go in frame. Depending on how wide frame is at back wheel the hall wires just miss screws on disc in fact they are all like that I put a v in frame with hack saw then file smooth and wire is further away from screws in disc I've put locking on bolts fir disc now I'm concerned about that spacer to get bike over again will be a bit to much now so I think I'll have to keep a check on the disc or some say router. All the years I've had ebikes I use supper glue on tread it works a treat to try to get them nut loose takes some doing it for doesn't dammge thread. Yes I'm concerned about that spacer normally I do take it off. Yes them disc get pretty hot. I pleased I watched video for that tip I shoud have known better all the bikes I've had. I like your videos because you explain great step by step looking at your wife's bike mine has same saddle I'm busy making it higher so I can peddle I'm using pvc same as side panels I made but half ins. It's a problem with some of these fat tyre bikes appoliges for long message keep the good work up

      @@E-bikeguy EBG.. I had Another brain spark 🧠⚡️😂
      I installed a modified fat 20” rear wheel on an inexpensive 24” mountain bike. The front fork now kicks out a bit more like your modification to the Frame Head Tube angle. Of course this is because of the smaller rear wheel. I think this is a good easy fix for the fork angle 📐 issue without having to cut and weld. I found it helps with overall handling, ride feel and stability.
      I would love to see you try this modification on some pedal bike or ebike. After doing this to my little 24” mountain bike, I also want to try this on a couple larger bikes to see how it performs. A 27.5” bike with a 26” rear or a 29” bike with a 26”.. not sure exactly just yet.
      Anyway watching you do this modification would be really interesting. I would love to see what you think about the smaller rear wheel mod and how it feels to you and how it is effecting the overall ride.
      That would be definitely be Golden!

      Hey E-BG ( should use the E-BG as optional title on ya gears) Just wanted to get back the basis of my latest Fat Tire 2000watt Tonka Tuff DIY Dual motor. I had mention before of at times when going fast you want ebike to be balanced evenly ( some like their frames light as possible, while some need the extra weight of frame used, torque of speeds etc) first thig I noticed of my new Fat tire was how too light it was in front handlebars of the type of power ( 1000watt gear are newer ones) of extreme power NM as the more weight I had in back, the severe wobbles of controlling handlebars of not going over 12mph of such serious front lift on front tire, I knew doing Dual Motor ASAP was the right thing to do. EXAMPLE" You riding at just a minimal mph of 24mph, you flying on street with speed bumps of say 4 feet long from dip, over , dip and on to the next one. Before the front motor balancing my front would take off and lift a bit of the bike landing but much banging of the landing besides the handlebars lose control for a mili second. Now with Front motor of a perfect balance, I speed thru same speed bumps at 24mph and faster, My bike is planted with just the lifting of frame from my dual shocks of riding thru of full control and the balancing is a factor depending on preference of rider, frame used rear overall weight, etc. It feels HELL A GRAVY of my bike firmly to the pavement of my tires with the dual shocks doing the lifting of overall handling of handlebars going along with suspension purpose. This just a separate preference of the rider's use of frame type, counter weight, type of motor power of NM of full control of handling bike. @@E-bikeguy

      My Tonka Tuff Fat Tire is not of a normal EBike ( majority of fat tires Tonka Tuff) since adding front motor as Turbo Booster, the EBike rides more like a lower end Electric Motorcycle of overall speeds as the BASE GEAR MOTOR has EXTREME POWER OFF ACCELERATION and it feels like Im riding a Harley D or Indian ( yes, I have ridden those just 1 time of both) Not a ebike of off road stunts and jumps of my frame and parts used as more of a Cargo commuter or just CRUISER.

    I have a couple of thoughts. When you’re riding at night, please wear proper lighting on the bike. Did you independently speed test the bike to make sure that the display was correct? I have a hard time believing that a 1500 W motor could get you up to 60 miles an hour. And third, when you’re riding that fast, it is a good idea to wear proper padding and motorcycle gear. Wrecking at that rate of speed will jack you up. Thanks for the great videos.

    You probably already know but for fat tires tire size settings, you can or should use the 28inch setting for a 26inch fat tire wheels. Major difference in speeds, major as people overlook the fat tires are 2 inches more off the ground of a 4inch width which raises the dimension while settings are actually off of a 26inch setting. Regardless if using fat tire, using the28 setting on actual 26 setting will have bile go faster by 2 to 3 mph.

    • @user619tlsdca5
      @user619tlsdca5 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The mph reading will be off by half if settings at 28 of using actual 26 inch. I have 2 lcds and the LCD with 28 settings reads off as just half in example the LCD reads 10mph but actual speeds is 20mph. So dont think ya going slow of the 28inch settings, its the Fat Tire dimensions that are off with LCD Controllers of a regular tire size setting of older controller chip on these Fat Tires. Conversion Kits will have this minor lag of updating. Factory ebike controllers are on q of fat tire dimensions, ( maybe, not sure )
