    I’ve been watching various FM you tube channels for years and while all of them offer different tips and guides this is your man when it comes to detailed breakdowns on player roles and tactics . Love the channel bro keep up the great content

    Xabi Alonso was protected by either Hammann or Mascherano at Liverpool. Which allowed Gerrard to be more attacking further up the field.
    Why would "dictates tempo" be bad for DLP?

    • @sznapisznap
      @sznapisznap 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I second the question. Thought in a possession system it would be helpful for a DLP to decide when to slow down or when to intensify the pressure?

      @@sznapisznap Same with me. I play possession style tactics and like my DLP to have "dictates tempo" and "tries killer balls often". I also like him to have "plays one twos". In fact that is a likable trait for all my attacking players.
      I understand that Daljit prefers more direct and quick playing style. But for the style I want to play I want my DLP to have "dictates tempo". I think of Xavi and how he played IRL and what traits he had in FM.

      He mean that "Dictate Tempo" AND "Play short simple pass" is the worst combination. "Dictate tempo" alone is good for Playmaker roloe.

    Individual instruction on your central defenders and other centre midfielder also helps the team pick out the DLP

    When to use DLP vs AP and RPM?

    • @Jur1_00
      @Jur1_00 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends on what you want really. If you want a player that just sits there and plays the passes the go for DLP; if you want a player that goes all over the pitch showing himself as a passing option and playing the passes you go for RPM the AP is somewhere in the middle.
      Look at the attributes they train to see the little difference

    What do you think about a 4-3-3 with a dlp or regista and 2 bbm??? I am more curious about those bbms...would that actually work?

    I think that looking at the number of key passes for a DLP can be misleading. Because a key pass is the final pass that directly leads to a shot. But the main job of a DLP may not be giving tha final pass, but rather the pass befor that. Take a loot at this example: the DLP switches the play with an amazing long diagonal pass to the overlapping fullback, then the fullback crosses tha ball that leads to a shot. In this situation, statistically, the fullback gets a key pass, but the DLP gets nothing rather than just an additional accurate pass. I have often seen this situation in a match and it is frustrating that in terms of ratings the DLP's wonderful pass is not appreciated, his rating stays the same. But the fullback's and the striker's rating goes up by 0.1, for example from 6.8 to 6.9. I think this is a deficiency of the rating system in FM.

      Key pass is not a pass that directly leads to a shot. A key pass is a pass that leads directly to a potential assist.

    • @BusttheNet
      @BusttheNet  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In your example if the shot had been scored the fb would be credited with an assist, and the pass from the DLP would be a key pass.

      @@BusttheNet While I agree that your description would be a better statistical indicator, but according to official definitions a key pass is the final pass that leads to shot. According to Opta, one of the leading sports analytics company, the official definition of a key pass is the following: "The final pass or pass-cum-shot leading to the recipient of the ball having an attempt at goal without scoring." Other sites that provide statistics have a similar definiton, for example at whoscored.com a key pass is "the final pass leading to a shot at goal from a teammate".
      www.statsperform.com/opta-event-definitions/
      www.whoscored.com/Glossary
      It is also easy to check in FM, when I open the analytics data on the match screen, tick key passes and then click one of those, then I can clearly see that it is going to be the pass that leads to a shot. That is why corner takers have a lot of key passes in FM, because whenever a corner kick is headed by a teammate after the kick, the corner taker gets a key pass.

      @@dave-the-sloth I was surprised too when I'll see that my team had 15 key passes in a game and I couldn't explain that because it wasn't that way in previous games so I went to look at the number of shots and watched the highlights and it's just a pass that leads to a shot on goal.
      I think SI need to go back a look at some of these things because the playmaker roles are rated more on the amount of key passes they perform and 8 times out of 10 the play the pass before the pass that leads to a key pass or assist and it doesn't count that
