Why are people crying 😢about the top not going all the way down, the top is removable like the hard top. Who give a sh%# what it looks like, it’s open air driving ! Live your best life
sorry but the top all bunched up laying on the back of the roof looks like doo doo. They should have made it swing all the way down and rest on the bed like the old wranglers did.
Was thinking about buying a 2020 used with a soft top but seeing this video saved me from that mistake. The top looks like crap folded up in the back. Thanks for the info!
I live in Washington and because the weather changes so frequently, I end up lifting the top without removing the back window. Work fine, even on the freeway.
If it's anything like the wind-blocking plate in the Porsche Boxster, that probably makes it even calmer/nicer for anyone in the backseat. No wind rushing back forward to fill in the vacuum. That sounds nice!
I just don't like the way the soft sits when you open it it just looks stupid they should have made it go all the way back like a regular convertible..
Thank you for the video! What happen if I dont remove the back accesories or.back and side vinyls I can still open it all the way to the back, thank you again!
I just got a 2020 Gladiator soft top. I see nothing to anchor the soft top down when it's up/pulled back. I drove on the highway for 2 hours with no problems. Am I missing something or is there really no need to secure the soft top when it's open?
Im not sure if you can take the soft top through the car wash. When I owned a wrangler with a soft top the owners manual said not to take it through the drive through car wash. If I had to do it over again I would have bought the hard top.
I know your comment is 10 months old. But I have a 2022 gladiator with the soft top and I took it through a automated car was the other day. No issues. So water leaks. It is loud though.
@@danielbuchanan5327 That would certainly be nice. The soft top in its current form is almost unusable. Mopar swung and missed badly on this terribly designed soft top.
Noise and flapping sound with a soft top going down the highway? I have a convertible Mustang and there is no sound but I am sure the jeep will. I am going to get a Gladiator but debating on a soft top. Also, can you put the top down without pulling the window or slide parts, or is that a must? Thanks.
I have a 2021 Gladiator Mojave. I went with the hard top because quite frankly the soft top is hideous looking when open. VERY disappointed in Mopar for such a copout design. I would never put that on my Gladiator and Jeep should redesign it so it lowers all the way down to the bed top. Yeah I know, it will cover part of the bed. So what. If you have something you're hauling back there then put the top back up. It's really that simple.
@@robyork9554 I'm aware of that. I mentioned that I have a traditional truck. Why do yo suppose I watched this video? I find it so amusing when people with the least ability to think critically imagine that they are the smartest in the room.
DO NOT DO THIS!!! This is not the recommended operating procedure for the soft top. Please read the actual manual and follows Jeep’s recommendations. This video will lead you to ruining the connections between the top panels.
You completely botched this process. This is not how its done. Following your process could result in damage to the rear window connections. You should take this video down.

because it looks ridiculous. May as well put a sail up there. Main reason I didnt buy one.

Yeeeeeeeee
Agree 100%
I did not know the soft top was like this until AFTER i bought it. Such a disappointment. It shouldn’t just stay folded on the top. Looks SO stupid.
Jeep is hearing that a lot. Hope they listen.
That keeps it out of the bed so it doesn’t interfere with cappers or racks. Function over form.
I’d rather get a Wrangler and a trailer.
Do you have to take out the back window/side panels, or is it okay to drive with just the top back?

Where do you store the removable rear window and side panels in the gladiator

Just bought mine, I’m doing the same and love it

Unbolt it and yak it off like a hardtop

I do the same with mine. I also never take the back window out.🤔
Your gladiator should've came with a set of velcro straps, to wrap around and secure the top.
@@jeffreymontanezsr.7417 Where would they be stored?
@@brutalplanet7BoonesOverstock in mine they came in a bundle of items inside of a plastic bag that also included the tools to remove doors etc.
@@jeffreymontanezsr.7417 thank you so much for your reply! Where is that bag located? I might have it too....
I know this was a year and half ago, but do you happen to know/remember what size the tires on this are?
Can you please show a video of you putting the soft top parts back on? Thank you so much in advance
Can you completely remove the soft top also
Let me show you how to remove the soft top. (gets to rear) No idea how you remove the soft top.
Hahaha.. that's why I opened the comments.
This is not how Jeep says to put the top down. Specifically says to remove the rear window first.

Would be cool to see a power top like the Wrangler.
Mytop has an electric roof for the gladiator. Folds all the way back below the rear window.
@@bradleypriddy9387 that’s pretty sweet! But I’m talking about that slide back sunroof top they have.

Should you have done this first before u showed us?

How do you fasten the top back. Says there are hook And loop closures but don’t see them....
What year and model is this again?? 😆
How many people bought these with the soft and then realized how dumb it looks with it bunched up like that?
I'm disappointed the top doesn't go all the way down to the box.
I was about to buy a soft top for my 2022 gladiator but this looks horrendous, I routinely take my hard top off because I love the look.
Agreed!
Awesome video mate, can’t wait to we get them in Australia
Thanks! If you had one which color and model would you get?
Geared Towards Automotive oh mate that’s a hard question, probably a black jt with a soft top, would be perfect for the family on Sunshine Coast
@@Whiteandsonsgarage Love that!

I’ve seen a video where someone you can take the top completely off
Can they hook me up on a Gladiator soft top?
WHEN, you fold the top "back" how secure is it , going down the highway at 70 MPH ?????????????
Very secure. I do it a lot. I always leave the back window in too. Weather changes quickly in WA state.
Very! Zero problems
I wonder what year gladiator that is 😂
This video helped me decide for certain I do not want this.
Thanks for the demo 🌻
Doesn’t look good when piled up back there. Thanks for the video though
Awesome 😎
They have to come up with something better than that
Make your own mate
Not a plastic window fan.
Thanks for the video, and now I know that I am not interested. I will keep my 2003 truck and buy a used C8 Corvette hard top convertible.
Dumbest comment yet. You don't have to get the soft top genius.

Looks terrible when open. Glad mine is a hard top.
Wait.. so this isn't a true convertible. Where the top folds all the way back, like a jk
Literally nothing about that process appears “incredibly easy”

This is the worst video on TH-cam
Glad you like it..
That looks like total fucking garage
