Picked up my new 2023 Gladiator today and purchased a soft top from a gentleman who had his Jeep stolen. He only used the top for one summer. Your video is so well made, Thank you very much! Life saver!
Thanks for making such great videos. Instructions are clear and very simple. You chose the right words to explain and describe. Made it in about 1h30min.
You are the only one who mentions the velcro straps for the top and the bungee cords for the rear window. However, one thing that you may have said that was wrong was that you can take out just the rear window alone. In my owner's manual/paper instructions that came with the truck, it states that if you remove the rear window, the quarter panels need to be out as well. The whole assembly holds itself together back there, and the quarter panels can fall out if you hit a hard enough bump without the rear window in place. But, you can do the rear window and quarter panels out with the top forward. Jeep needs to find a way to make the Gladiator to where you don't need to remove the quarter panels.
I have been thinking the same thing abouth those corner panels. I have not installed my soft top yet, but based on what I've seen in install videos, I doubt I'll leave mine in... Especially if I will be traveling at highway speeds.
Just installed this, the top rear corner of the rear windshield of mine allows water in-even with everything tucked in. Looks like there isn’t enough fabric on the top edges to cover this area-any thoughts?
does anyone know what is the name of the part (bar) that holds the window together the bow assembly where the strapes were held? I need to replace mine it was bent and were can I get the strapes for the back window. My jeep did not come with these.
How did you roll the back window? I’ve looked at mine and can’t figure out how it can roll up inside the cab. Can you do a short video showing this please? That would be awesome!
Kyle M Look at the video starting at 14:30. This is where he shows the back window rolled up and held in place with the elastic snap straps. But I can’t figure out how they did it.
Kyle M Mine were in the same bag with the Velcro straps for securing the rails when the top is open. I just tried to roll mine but no success. There must be a technique that I haven’t figured out lol. Seeing it in the video, looks like it’s perfectly rolled up!
I'm not sure why Jeep didnt design this soft top to retract all the way to the base near the bed like it does on the JL. Having the top in its open position just sitting on the back of the roof looks so ugly.
If we're being honest, we pretty much agree with you Jacob! We've been told it was a decision based on multiple factors, with one of them being to not occupy any of the truck bed space when the soft top was in the folded position so that it won't interfere with anything you may potentially have in the bed, or the use of accessories like a bed rack.
@@Quadratec i can understand that reasoning. Hopefully Mopar or an aftermarket manufacturer will come up with one for those of us not planning on using a bed rack, or design a lower profile version!
I have gladiator and the factory soft top, I have only taken it off once a few months back, when it went back on the jeep it fit perfect and had no issues, fast forward a few months and now it is flapping like it’s loose when going 35 mph or more. The front clasps grip tightly and secure but it feels and sounds like the back half is just flying in the wind.... any recommendations?
So if you truly wanted a complete topless look just remove the 4 bolts holding the top in along with the back window? Seems easier than doing that with the hardtop
So my rear hand grips need to be removed completely when putting the rear door surround on? I just tried leaving them on and they’re definitely in the way. Any solutions or workarounds?
Great video ‼️👍 Any recommendations on what to do or use to prevent paint damage on the gladiator when taking accessories on and off such as the soft top? My Wrangler had several areas where the paint either wore off or chipped from taking it off and on. Even where the brackets were attached? I’m planning on getting out ceramic coated in the near future. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Too bad that you can't just purchase the form fitting rails and uprights...so that you could place a solid piece of plywood over the cab to facilitate a sleeping area .
Does anyone else think it’s weird that a mass produced vehicle that should have the same measurements as every other car on the same assembly line has to have a template sent to make sure pieces are spaced apart correctly.

That’s somewhat disconcerting. I did the same. 2023 Gladiator and picked up a soft top from a former owner whose Gladiator was also stolen.
Thank you Rob! Very clear instructions for this novice! Took me about 4.5hrs but I DID IT!
Great job explaining this Rob! Watching this will make my installation extremely easy because of your thorough details when I go to install it👍

Thanks for the tutorial. I miss placed my instructions. This step by step made it go smooth.
I'm glad that I found this video to install my soft top. Your step-by-step instructions were very easy to follow. Thank you!
Thanks Rob. Just picked up my 2021 JT Mojave with the dual top option. Watched your instal video which made instal so much easier
Took my time and did the instal by myself in 2 hours. That was including removing the hard top. Nice clear instructions. Thanks again😎
Picked up my OE soft top for my Gladiator yesterday. Your video was spot on!! Thank you!
I sprayed silicone into the channels to make installation and removal stress-free on the fabric and plastic tabs.
I really appreciate this quadratec channel. Not only a great source of mopar and other quality parts, but also great install videos too.
Excellent video, Rob. Very clearly shown.and makes me want the soft top for mine, in addition to my hard top.
This was an amazing how-to video. Thank you!
That was really easy to do! Thanks! Took less than an hour.
This video was great! Thanks Rob. Very easy install, love having the soft top now!
Fantastic step by step

Super easy video to follow! Thank you for such an easy install!
You make that look so simple. Thanks for the great video
Thanks I got it done in a few hours. I see the Velcro straps. Put on glove box. What are the straps w snap for?
thx a lot bro !! :)
Very sharp looking, I want the twill for my Launch Edition. Not crazy about how high it sits folded back.
yeah I am not a fan at how high and messy of a profile that looks with the top folded back. My 01 Tj had such a kept looked with the top folded back.
This is spot on. Thanks
Fantastic video thanks

Do you use some of the screws from the hard top to install the soft top? if Yes, How many and which ones?
How did you roll the back window? I’ve looked at mine and can’t figure out how it can roll up inside the cab. Can you do a short video showing this please? That would be awesome!
You don't roll the window. They have a bag for it that you can order and gently fold it in half.
Kyle M Look at the video starting at 14:30. This is where he shows the back window rolled up and held in place with the elastic snap straps. But I can’t figure out how they did it.
@@everydayjeeper6583 Yeah, that is actually pretty cool. I don't even know if I have those straps.

Ya How Is That Rolled... Much Better Than The Bag... Please Do A Video
Great video
Great Video!
my dog got into my soft top kit and mutilated the gasket that seals the Belt Rail. Can i purchase a replacement? Your help is appreciated.
Is it just the rear window you need? www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/rear-window-gladiator-jt
@@Quadratec no, just need the rubber gasket that seals under the Belt Rail.

So you can buy the second gen soft top in a few years. LOL
Looks great love the orange.

Hi, have you ever experienced issues with the windshield latches opening while driving? If so, what was the fix for it?
So if you truly wanted a complete topless look just remove the 4 bolts holding the top in along with the back window? Seems easier than doing that with the hardtop
Yes! Removing the soft top is extremely easy!
On the Quadratec website, the weight of the soft top kit shows as 124lb. Is it really that heavy?
So my rear hand grips need to be removed completely when putting the rear door surround on? I just tried leaving them on and they’re definitely in the way. Any solutions or workarounds?
Is the T50 Short Torx bolts the same as what hard top used?
Yup! Same bolt.
Thank you very much! @@Quadratec

Can you take the back window out and leave the side pillars in?
You mean exactly how it was before he installed the rear window last? lol
@@Jackal_Blitz no you idiot. They say the side pillars will fall off without the rear window in. Smart ass.
Is this the sailcloth or twill? Sorry if I missed the answer.

Anyone want to trade a hard top for my soft top?
Adhesive promoter......lol....otherwise know as alcohol swab lol
hell naw!
