I bought my Tissot Ballade III 12 or so years ago. It was my only watch back then. ( Replaced a watch that I destroyed when I wiped out) Wore it everywhere except the ocean. Its been through showers, lake, and white water canoe trips. Never gave it a thought. It needs a polishing and buffing, badly. Still running with a 0 beat error and running 5 seconds a day fast. Love the ETA movement.
This is unfair competition. Seriously it looks like they’ve done a great job in the price range. I’m not surprised the Gentleman is a good seller. It looks like they have a winner here as well as the PRX. It will be fun to follow! Thanks Chris, a great vid as usual. I love the enthusiasm you bring to the medium!
The knurled (non-fluted bezel) variety has been out for around 3 years, these models are 9.8mm. The brand new fluted models without the powermatic 80 text are 9.6mm.
A fantastic (and affordable) alternative to the Rolex Date-Just. Tissot is killing it! Just give us a few more dark color options for the dial and it will be perfect.
Great vid! I love my silver Ballade. It was a gift from my uncle. Very happy I swapped out the alligator strap for a Milanese bracelet. Keep up the great videos!
I like it but im waiting for that PRX with the powermatic. I also like the gentleman. Tissot has really caught my interest lately since I’ve been considering getting an entry level Swiss piece!
Jeeeeeezus!....I got my gentleman to fill that void........I would've loved a fluted bezel like this on it. ..Now I want this......the Gentleman has 100 meter water resistance though...I have other watches if I wanna swim in one.
heard that this watch has no regulation function,I’m not sure,but if you can’t regulate your watch if it runs very fast or slow,then it’s not worth that much IMO
I hate the silver dial. Why Tissot abandoned the beautiful white dials of the past to this underwhelming silver, is has no sense for me. Why do'nt have all of them? The white, silver, blue and black? Tissot, bring back the pearl white dial to the gentleman!
I'm sorry but I must say that my Tissot ballade COSC looses more than five minutes a day. I've had it for more than a month and I'm afraid I shall complain an have it tested. Greetings from Catalonia.

The hubnail pattern bezel one looks stunning Yet original whereas the coinedge bezel one looks very very Rolex "inspired".

The prx is mean....I have the Gentleman and the steel bracelet v8 chrono ......Well made solid pieces

My first real Swiss auto was a Tissot powermatic 80. It was accurate and nice. It was the le locle line. They're case backs are a work of art man.
Jomashop has a le locle cosc chronometer for a good price.
Tissot is on a roll!
I often find that a lot of the Swatch brand chronometers are less accurate than the non-COSC models. Figure that out!
Have had the engine turned bezel version for a year or so, and am going to pick up the new fluted version too. Outstanding value watches IMO

Some Tissot models have factory laser cut regulation, but I believe the chronometers are COSC certified and have a regulation function.

Ballade has cosc certification , much more expensive than the other two, is better.
