I'm a barber and hairdresser and I caught the hair aswell. But I'd grab my razor and cut the edge on the sides.pre hair lube so my razor works properly. Top down right next to his ears. Cooling products are good mixed with spray.
For a guy who operates a business around luxury watches, getting a £5 haircut was a terrible idea, I would be quite mad too 😂. Great videos by WF&co, by the way. But Nico is far worse, such a terrible presentation on a guy that roasts watches for poor styling and taste 🤮
Having collected watches for around fifteen years, and having owned several Omegas, a few IWC, Tudors, Baume Mercier, CW, Breitling, Seiko etc, etc, I put myself on the list for the BB58 (Navy) back in 2020. Some time later, my time came. I remember being surprisingly underwhelmed. The aluminium bezel simply didn’t have that glossy sparkle of my old Seamaster’s bezel. The blue was…blue! Not Rolex ‘I am so blue Smurfs think I need to tone it down a bit’ blue, but blue. The bracelet was nice, but not extraordinary. It was a very good watch, very nice. And yet, it has barely left my wrist in the last three (ish) years. Not only is it the best watch I’ve ever owned - for comfort, timekeeping and style - it’s my favourite watch of all time. Overhyped, yes. But entirely deserving, in my view, of the hype. Its charm comes at you in waves. It’s stealthy. What I’m basically saying, Andrew, is I agree with almost everything you say about it, and yet I want to fight you for daring to speak ill of it! 😂 Therefore, let’s agree to agree (disagree to disagree). Yay, 58. 🎉
I have a Tissot prx quartz. My first proper watch that I bought with my first paycheque. It’s even better than I hoped. Sparkles in the sun looks expensive feels really comfortable and is incredibly robust without looking it. Honestly I wouldn’t change it and would recommend it to anyone.
I bought a BB58 as my first "luxury" watch. Looking at pictures, I was in love. First putting it on, I was rather disappointed. I couldn't put it into words why. After two weeks of daily wear, I fell in love. The smaller size, the overall finish made me fall in love with it. Definitely one of my forever watches. Just the perfect all around watch.
Hmm, not me. I'm still in love with my BlackBay 58. Never spent a lot of time looking at it in pictures. In fact, I was looking at other watches from Tudor, Longines, and Omega. But when I slipped on the BB58. It felt right. I may not have the experience you do though, but yeah, I feel the only watch in this lineup that one could not feel bad about is the BB58. YOu know what your getting. Right?
As Andrew says "I wont name names..", there was barely a second that passed where likely most of those watching immediately thought to themselves "Ah! Nico. He means Nico."
@@daniellehotsky1776 I agree, he is my favorite youtuber when it comes to watches. My point was that I think he's one the guys WF&Co were referring to. No need from them to throw shade at others in the business, just stick to your thing and let others succeed as well.
Nothing's perfect. You can get value for money out of something that isn't the ultimate ne plus ultra. Tissot is the Nissan of watches, and that's fine.
Seriously, he flogs shit to you to push his wares, then drops more shit like this once the stock has sold, to sour you on it and move you ontp the next thing. Just a shill.
Don’t change the message of the content These watches are good ( probably besides the swatch ) and he directly say that in the video, but he claims every single one of these pieces is probably over praised so when you get them, they might disappoint you
@@JinKee would probably liken the whole Swatch group to VW Group and the range of cars and brands spanning "great" to "meh" for all sorts of different reasons.
Of course all luxury watches are “hype” or just marketed as someone else could say just as well. They are overpriced to make a profit and still payout decent salaries and marketing costs, etc. Of course there are different levels of being overpriced. A Rolex is obviously more overpriced than a Tudor or Tissot is, but not more than a pair of Nikes or Ray-Bans, I guess. In the end it is all in the eye of the beholder and there is no accounting for it 🤷♂️ However, people ranting about overpriced Tissots or Tudors while wearing a Nike sweater or 150 dollar sneakers or sunglasses for example, do not realize how hilariously hypocrite they look 🤡
I agree about the Nautilus. I just don't get it. I understand the appeal of a sports watch since most people dress petty casual these days and a dress watch might look out of place but the Nautilus is just way over hyped. I imagine a bunch of silicon valley types with a lot of money and they want a watch but know nothing about watches. They read somewhere that Patek is considered one of the best so they start looking at Patek. They all look too dressy so they settle on the Nautilus.
The Chopard Alpine Eagle in my opinion strikes all the notes the Nautilus and AP do with a damn near grand seiko dial while still that integrated sports bracelet look with the Roman numeral indicis. It's perfect.
I worked for a Patek Philippe AD about 12 years ago. Well before the hype started. There was far more interest in the Calatrava at the time. The Nautilus was considered an odd ball. It was too dressy to be a sports watch but not dressy enough to be a dress watch. Back then you had to be a real watch nerd to get it. Then Instagram happened and it became a flex.
@@slipnpitch1894 Hey look, I apologise. My comment was harsh to the OP. I am a Tissot fanboy truth be known. Just sick of all the disingenuous hype around certain models (of any brand). Fantastic if people actually love them, or even just enjoy them. Just keep it real people 😎
And I gotta disagree about the BB58. As I've become a dad and in my 30s the gilt BB58 is just perfect. I think the gilt in interesting and so versatile I'm more amazed how often it fits in everywhere. It isn't a dive watch that is forced into Elegance. It just is. I'd actually same the same but moreso for the BB58 Bronze. The explorer indices and the Aluminum-Bronze makes the patina interesting instead of gross. When polished its gorgeous. When patinas its distinguished. I'd say the 54 is the one that isn't as great as they say it is. Something about the white bezel throws it off BIG TIME. I don't thinknits the size change.
it isn't making investments that is the problem. Its finding a reliable platform. I am a fan of watches and cars and I haven't been able to get any. Funny right?
I've read numerous success stories of people that are pulling off tremendous gains of up to $120k within weeks in this crazy market and I just want to learn how to achieve such figures.
I like prx, if I had money I'd buy it. But I acknowledge the escapement is made out of plastic; not silicon, plastic. And the quartz version has misaligned hands more often than I thought. Thing is, the service cost isn't crazy high and they replace the entire escapement. So I wouldn't worry about it. 🤷🏻♂️
The PRX bracelet is so good, it’s worth the price alone. I can’t speak for the quartz, as I have the powermatic, but assume it’s the same. It punches waaaay above its weight. It’s truly an excellent bracelet. But for the price? It’s unreal.
The BB58, as you highlight, is a jack of all trades, which is why I purchased the 925 sterling silver version as you see far fewer of them than the others. Overall, I think the 58 is an amazing watch and will hold mine for life.
So you say the Tissot’s fit and finish is not that great for its $750 USD price tag, I’ve seen one in person and started my engineering career as manufacturing engineer where the first company machined precision medical tools. Exactly what fit and finish do you see as subpar and for this price point who has a better product? I’m no watch expert but I have to say I was pretty impressed at what you get for this kind of money not to mention the face is beautiful? Not looking to start and argument but trying to understand your comments and what brand has better value? I’ve also seen watches that cost 4+ times this watch of comparable quality.
It's not supposed to be that finished. This watch is an homage to a 1970s watch that is the style of the look and why it was created. As far as the fit and finish goes who gives a shit it has an 80 hour power reserve for $700! That alone surpasses any finish that you might want on it. Plus Tissot has been making watches since 1873 they know what the hell they're doing I own many to so watches and I love every one of them I own many higher caliber watches than the Tissot and I love them I own independent brands such as Uboat, unimatic, Gervile I love all of them their watches they tell time and that's what I want them for@@jorgegallegos7895
@@Reese1105 and why are you just purchasing it to Cell? Watch like this the PRX is for you to wear and keep you don’t sell this watch you purchase it to keep again 80 hour power reserve the end.
Just got the 35mm PRX powermatic in blue dial. Amazing watch, dial and proportion for the money. And I owned a VC 3rd gen in blue i sold it, wore too large on my wrist, never got the chance to buy before putting deposit down in sydney). The 35mm PRX auto is one of the best watches you can buy under 1k AUD period.
While the PRX is a nice looking watch I agree that some people might find it a bit plain or uninspiring. The Tissot Gentlemen has a similar aesthetic. I'm really glad they made a 35MM version of the PRX with the powermatic 80 movement but given the choice I would rather buy something else.
I just got the PRX 35 MOP in. It's beautiful. It's nice. It's proportional. The aftermarket support is great. But it's exactly what I expected quality wise.
You can’t wear an expensive watch while out and about in the major cities, so I picked the PRX80 Ice Blue for a substitute. It looks good enough and if it gets snatched, I’m not out that much.
I tried to go the smaller brand route with Maen. but the fact that with smaller brands you have "Pre-order" or the watch is "coming soon" or "Out of Stock"...its getting really annoying. so I got the Tissot PRS Powermatic and I was extremely satisfied with my purchase. its my new daily and I love it.
I had an opposite reaction to the Blancpain. I had the chance to see the 50 Fathoms last week and it’s great. I was curious about the watch but it was better in person.
100% agree! I've tried it on multiple times and it is definitely near the top of my to acquire list. I've thought of sending my SD43 on to a new home and use the freed up funds to acquire the FF, and maybe another Panerai with the difference between the two dive watches.
PRX Powermatic 80 and BB58 Navy are the best entry luxury watches. BB58 can be wore during the week and PRX on the weekend. 80 and 70 power reserved. ~11mm thickness 40-39mm size.
Sorry but the Tissot PRX Quarz is crazy good for the price tag. I own Rolex, Omega, Seiko… bought the PRX as a cheap holiday watch. But after one week I felt in love with it. What a great watch. Gym, Pool, Dinner, Beach…no issues.
I love my BB58, but it just doesn't have the hero status of my Speedmaster Professional. Of course, the crystal doesn't fog on the BB58 on a rainy day so in my collection, it stays.
The Speedmaster is a tool that never went out of production and you buy into its history while still looking forward. The Blackbay however is just a piece of retro, harking back to the good old days and leaning on tradition it in reality does not have. It just looks nice just like the New Beetle did when it came out but is was simply not the original VW Kafer. The BB will never look forward, never create its own history. If you want that, then go for a Pelagos. In 70 years there will be a reissue of the Pelagos, never of a 2018 BB
As the owner of a 3861 Speedy, a BB58 and a 1954 Beetle, this post is spot on 🤣 That said, I do love the BB58 as it just hits the sweet spot in so many ways - especially the size.
I disagree with you about the PRX. I have the powermatic 80 with a blue waffle dial. For the money it's very well finished. The movement is a cracker keeping decent time. A deviation of +5 to - 2 seconds a day is very decent. It has flexibility in terms of attire. It's just at home with smart casual wear or accompanying a suit. The only minor complaint is the lume is below par. Otherwise it does everything else rather well.
Definitely agree. I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't think the Nautilus is ugly. Even someone I know who was proudly announcing that he'd joined the waitlist (good luck).
The Nautilus is the epitome of Clout overriding all other considerations. It's 100% hype over substance. Also: call me crazy but it seems there's no love lost between Watchfinder and the MoonSwatch 😅
When I found out that the Nautilus borrowed its design from Mido’s Multifort TV from the 70s, I vowed to never buy one and instead I’m thinking of getting the newly released Big Date from Mido.
I believe that any watch and any brand in any industry that says “not everyone that has the money can buy our products” is overrated. When they’re like “we are making you a favor selling you this watch (or whatever it is Ferrari 🙊)” they’re way too hyped
100% agree on everything said apart from the PRX which I see as a good entry into Swiss watch ownership. Never cared for Patek or Rolex so I wasn’t surprised by their inclusion even though some will be shaking their heads.
What other $500 sports watch compares to the PRX. None that I know of. You need to spend twice that to get a significantly better watch with an intergrated bracelet. The way it plays with the light is amazing at the price point.
Andrew Morgan on the Tissot PRX 1 year ago: "This is a watch worth the hype"; "This is a watch that makes not buying it not an option" Andrew Morgan today: "Damn I need some content"
Definitely agree with what he said about the Tissot PRX. While Tissot does make many great watches including the PRX, Gentlemen, and Seastar they all have their own little faults. I really want to love the PRX 80 but no sure if I would buy one. I'm glad they made a 35MM version though as the 40MM one was too big for people with small wrists.
Admittedly, I got my mint green prx for less than $200 thanks to a gift card so I'm in love with it. And my moonswatch pluto is really nice on a leather strap.
Clickbait title, yes, but if you pay attention, Andrew is delivering nuance, not being black-or-white. It's nuance that can help those new to this ridiculous hobby manage expectations. I don't much enjoy "Worst Watches" videos but this one is both hilarious and contains wisdom if you just zoom out.
I own a Tissot PRX Automatic in glacier blue and it is awesome. It’s extremely comfortable, elegant for the office, jeans on the weekend or a jacket and tie. I get more compliments on it more than I had expected. I love the watch and yes it is budget friendly. Not everyone has $20,000 to buy a waxy that you only wear to special occasions, $5,000 for a weekend watch and $10,000 for a work watch M-F.
Agreed with nearly every example here. I tried on the new Pelagos 39 the other day, and it just didn’t feel special. I then tried on the Longines Legend Diver, and my eyes lit up. Sure, it may not have the clout or spec sheet omg factor. But, it is a stunning piece. I’m sort of being drawn into cheaper watches these days anyway. Can enjoy them without babying them too much.
Exactly right about Longines compared to Tudor. I listen to these people rave about Tudor and then you handle one side by side with a Longines or Oris (never mind a grand seiko or Omega in same cases) and I just can’t work it out- why are people paying more for Tudors? You could fall asleep looking through a Tudor catalog- you wear a legend diver and i challenge you not to look down at your wrist every 15-20 minutes
This may sound a bit ridiculous but my Pelagos not feeling special is somewhat of a plus. I don’t mind scratches, it’s not shiny so it doesn’t grab attention, it’s extremely durable, and for the 6 years I’ve had it it hasn’t missed a beat. It’s a watch that you appreciate when you use it for a long time
@@jose7777777777777777 that’s fair- and honestly I get the Pelagos more than I get the black bays - but it’s still expensive. But wear what you like and if you love it then who cares what anybody else thinks
Andrew -- This is a very constructive and thoughtful commentary. Professionally i am a micro-economist (albeit in vastly different market, defense, than watches) and as you can imagine, the various gyrations of strategies and pricing in this market is of endless interest. From a consumer perspective, watches are rather different from cars or washing machines in many respects but economically they are since the functional attributes -- telling the time and a tolerable environmental robustness in-use -- are almost completely divorced from their pricing; i would say that only in Chinese homages in the $200 to $500 range is there any correspondence to those factors. No consumers buy other things: a piece of art on their wrists is a huge one, but wealth and taste "signalling" are also important and, in some cases, there is store-of-value effect too. For example in my business i've been told a reason to get a Rolex is that it may guarantee you a last airplane seat out of a third world capital during coup. It has happened, i am sure. Another major cost factor is availability of after-sales service/parts, which is remarkably expensive for firms to provide (although consumers commonly complain of the costs, firms say -- with some legitimacy i suspect -- that such work is a money-loser for them). My punch line is that a companion piece to this video would be your thoughts on the economics of the business from a consumer perspective. The bottom-line should be: consumers must prioritize their desires and pay only for those options that address them. Each of the offerings in the market are making a very different value proposition to their buyers. That Tissot PRX may not be the most elegantly made watch (as you rightly point out) but, compared to many of its price competitors it offers rather compelling long-term serviceability availability at reasonable prices (like, for example, Seiko or Citizen also). "Yes" those Chinese homages can be well-made with more attractive dials, cases and bracelets for the same price as Tissots or Seikos, but essentially no after-sales service. Etc. i natter on; forgive me. -- gary ray
From a fellow economist, in regards to your comment: “consumers must prioritize their desires and pay only for those options that address them”. No matter how often economists assume that this is true, or rely on it being true when applying models, I’m afraid that this isn’t how people behave in reality. There is no microeconomic model or quantitative framework that can accurately explain the economics of the luxury watch market, especially at the extremes of price. As you noted, watch prices are disconnected from performance attributes and from input costs. Scarcity cannot explain price extremes either. Perhaps behavioral economists could shed some light on the issue, but they lack models and the ability to prove anything. Auction theory might help with the six figure and up extremes. Perhaps the scarcity (real or manufactured) and emotional associations with particular watches simulate unit-level auction mechanics in each transaction. Still can’t explain the PRX. It’s a fascinating field for economists because it seems impenetrable with our tools. It’s like a Rubik’s cube but with stickers that change color.
Love the PRX, agree on the Nautilus...i tried one on and it did feel like it was worth £40,000 (at the time) and a friend wanted one until he found it was too small on the wrist (spent less on a full gold Royal Oak that is great)
How no one talks about Eterna is beyond me, it's the most underrated, underappreciated, undervalued watch brand one the planet . If it wasn't for Eterna I really don't think there would be the same watch brands you see today because of the Eternas innovation of the automatic movement with what everyone knows now as the ETA movement . Ridiculous how Eterna get no respect at all .
All watches. Every watch isn’t what it’s hyped up to be. We are all enthusiasts for an item that we hyped up greater than it actually is. From a Timex to a AP, they aren’t the anything we promote them to be.
I've been interested in getting an automatic watch for many years. I've had my Tissot Powermatic PRX 80 35 now for about five days and glad about finally pulling the trigger. I've worn my Citizen Eco Drive Titanium now for about fifteen years so a modest upgrade was due. No watch snob here, just wanted an entry level automatic. Cheers!
Is it just me or is a lot of the Watch Collection community simply people who have to climb on a band wagon? The Omega/Moonswatch was hyped as a brilliant way for watch collectors to discover the joy of owning a Luxury watch brand, like Omega. Now. It's a piece of junk. (actually it was always a piece of junk...The Moonswatch shows precisely the level of contempt Omega/Swatch has for it's customer base). But God forbid you should buy a Pagani Design "homage" for less than half the price. At least the PD delivers a respectable Seiko movement, Stainless steel case and bracelet and a sapphire crystal for it's sub $100.00 price point. 2 years ago, Omega/Swatch Good, Pagani bad. Now when we see what your money actually gets you it's Omega/Swatch Bad, Pagani...maybe not so bad. 2 years ago, it was fashionable to say that the PRX was the next best thing to the big JC. Still waiting for my Tissot to turn water into wine. Watchfinder itself said "Where do you begin with this thing? The looks? The quality? The price? I feel like a five-year-old trying to comprehend a day at a theme park. It’s almost overwhelming. If this sounds like hype, it is, because this is a watch worth hyping." And now. a headline that essentially says,...Well it ain't THAT great. How fashionable it must be to be a contrarian. Now everyone screeches about how the PM80 has a PLASTIC escapement. And then there's the groaning about not being able to self-regulate it. Oh HORRORS!. The watch is unserviceable!!! Wrong. Service prices for a PRX Powermatic 80 range from $60 for partial maintenance to $195 for full maintenance which includes complete replacement of the movement if necessary. Try getting those prices from the old man down the street. Really, it's kind of tiring. I love watches, but the entire watch community seems to be made up of watch snobs who simply can't be satisfied. It's either too expensive or too cheap. A machine made quartz watch is awful, but a machine made mechanical watch has "soul". A Pagani or Invicta Rolex Homage is awful, but a Steinhart?... (crickets) I give up. Wear what you like and who cares what others think. A person who judges you by what you wear on your wrist says more about them, than about you.
Great episode, I have PRX and and I bought it a few months ago, because I like it some how and everybody talks about it after months of purchasing it. I really found my Tissot gentleman Powermatic, 80 far far better. Now I am planning to buy Black-bay 58 and I really love your comment about it.Hhhhhhhhh I feel it really will not let me down as you said.
Today I explained to a friend that is not into watches what is a Patek Nautilus, as she was keep hearing about it. She was shocked to find out it is £25k at retail and mortified that it is around 4 times the price on resale. She asked me why, I replied simply: the online hype. And also the poor understanding of many when it comes to auctions, to charity and what it actually means. Great video, it went straight to my heart.
Agree with you on Rolex and moonswatch and 5711. The 5711 is really flimzy and honestly don’t know what the hype is all about Don’t agree on PRX and BB58. Both these watches are amazing and good value.
Since you mentioned the PRX, I am still hoping for your coverage of the Citizen Tsuyosa. That goes for a similar target market and is a great option at the price.
I love my Gilt BB58, wore it today with jogger shorts and a t-shirt, and it looked awesome in the sun - the light really caught the golden edges of the hands - it's the first time I really appreciated that and it made me really happy I own it. Watching this video reminded me how underwhelmed I was with the blue steel version when I saw it in person...but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so if the watch makes you happy, that's all that matters. I've not got a huge watch collection, and I don't have a massive budget, but I like my BB58 as much as my black Hamilton Khaki Field, Hamilton Cooper and G-Shocks...and hopefully the couple of Studio Underdog's on order 👍
The one brand that I don't get the hype for is Mido. It's like the entire online watch community woke up one morning sometime last year and collectively decided that it's the best value out there. Not that they're bad watches, but my god - the designs are an absolute snoozefest. At least 90% of their lineup is a mall-brand level of boring, with maybe a few exceptions like the Commander 1959. I guess I just don't get the value proposition and the positioning within Swatch- it kinda exists in a limbo somewhere between Certina, Tissot, and Hamilton. However, unlike those three, it barely has any identity. Like, I'll go to Certina for a great diver, to Tissot for nice vintage-inspired or dressy piece, and to Hamilton for, well, the Khaki. Not to mention a ton of other great brands available at a similar price point.
I have the mido compression diver gmt and I really like it. It looks odd to people with the compression scale and it's good water resistance. But I don't really like traditional (Submariner) divers so that's just me
A watch is not good because you don't like the style of the watch, or any other personal reason. Sometimes the hype is exaggerated, but a Tissot PRX is a nice watch for its price. Same for the MoonSwatch, it's a Swatch, so obviously it's not a luxury watch, neither a watch that you will keep forever. But for its price it's perfect, so nice that you want to have many of them. I never had the chance to see a Nautilus 5711 in person, so I can't say if it looks great, or if it's disappointing. The Black Bay 58 is great, but I don't like it enough to buy it. May be I am wrong, it's just a matter of personal taste.
I would agree that the PRX is a bit over hyped. But humiliate a Hamilton? Is Hamilton better than Tissot? Both are positioned exactly the same within the Swatch Gp as entry level swiss. Quality is pretty much the same from what I've seen. Only on TH-cam is Hamilton > Tissot....., which has mostly come from the US market and the US influencers. Quality above microbrands? Well, you could also say its better due to economies of scale, ETA movements sourced internally from the Swatch Gp etc.
I still want to like the moonswatch but after owning one i very much prefer the concept of the moonswatch and what it represents than the product itself.
I own one + love it ... I think it's a matter of miscalibrated expectations: It's a cheap, plastic PoS ... It's fun ... What else did you expect? (But, that velcro strap it comes with *is* literal garbage -- it's probably the one stock strap that's worse than the tripe that Seiko put on their lower-end watches.)
I have one and want to get them all. It's about the concept, the colors, the brilliant marketing and business strategy, and the planets that appeal to me. Not all watches have to be of supreme quality to be fun. Let's not forget it's a Swatch after all. (and Swatch bought Omega)
Your son is lucky to have you and his friends will likely agree after they see the new watch his old man gave him. Great choice, quite the upgrade too 👍
You can get the exact same conversation material by wearing a bright pink Dora the Explorer digital watch. It has better build quality, and is not trying to be a toy Omega.
I am not a status symbol sort of a guy. A mechanical watch is all very well, but to service my late mother's Tissot will cost more than it is worth, by a factor of two and this was a luxury watch. So what exactly are you buying? A watch that in ten years will be worth nothing? Remember a watch is an anachronism, your phone, your smart watch, every connected device in your life will give you accurate time, better than any mechanical watch. You are buying a status symbol; buy a gold Rolex if you want to be thought of as the sort of person who wears a gold Rolex. I wouldn't want to be that sort of guy.
Finally got to hold a Moonswatch in NYC. In my hometown, there's no dealers. I don't get it. Why would someone pay 250 for that? I could see maybe 50 bucks for it for fund. They had 6 models available. I tried one on. it felt silly. I'm not a snob, but I don't get the love of these. I do have the PRX automatic in blue. Got it on sale. It's a great deal.
Good topic this... I've sold 4 great watches and have ended up with just a G shock while I try again to find the "perfect" watch.... the trick is to find what YOU love, without following hype (which is how I ended up buying and selling a few Speedies and an IWC Mark 16).... figure out what YOU love... even if it's a Hublot 😅 P.s. Great point about rolex. I've decided not to get one. There are more gems to find with JLC, Zenith, older Omega and many others, for less money And the Black Bay is duuuuuull (to me anyway)
I think Rolex's marketing is done so well, it epitomizes success to many. Similar to what Da Beers did with the diamond industry... Ie you should spend x amount of your salary on engagement ring. Or, how a diamond is forever...
I only disagree with your Tudor opinion. In my opinion, the BB58 is better than expected. I actually bought my second one in black after owning the blue. Unbeatable quality and design perfection.
What on earth are you talking about with the PRX? Seriously? It receives all the hype for a reason and fully deserves it! The only snag about it before was the size for small wrists and now they released the 35mm. I own it in 35mm now and am extremely happy! Can’t believe you said that
I kinda agree with the Tudor , The one i got was a Tudor Heritage S&G way back brand new . It was a great watch but its just boring . I love that its simple and its value for money but it doesnt scream character or represent the mood im in , it feels SAFE in a suit around people with suits ( if u get what i mean ? ) . In comparison , i feel more happier on my Omega Speedmaster Panda which i paid lesser on a 2nd hand market . If i were could choose either 1 , i would go for the Omega (?) rather than the Tudor .
I love your work, I beg to disagree with the swatch opinion. If this gets a young version of me interested in watches = AWESOME. Let’s be careful to the path to watch snobbery. Please take this comment in the spirit it was intended: U rock but even the best might miss from time to time… I do. All the best!
Im gonna call BS on the moons watch play-doh reference. The crystal scratches VERY easily, but the case is much more durable than you would imagine after listening to these videos. In fact, I can barely find any marks or scuffs on the case after wearing mine roughly two times a week since last year. Plus, the lack of polishing means whatever scratches do occur are very hard to see unlike with my stainless steel watches.
A lot of what he says about the Moonswatch is hyperbole. Don't really understand the need to dump so much hate on it. It's fine to not like it, but to endlessly bring it up makes it wearying. And him owning one does not really give him any more leverage over other owners other than the fact he has a platform to declare repeatedly the hate for the Moonswatch. He hates it, We get it. Can we move on now?
Tudor is the best value you can. The gmt pepsi i wear daily and can nvr tire. Though many prefers it to be smaller and thinner i feel its nice as is. Going for prolly omega seamaster next but haven't really gotten the feel of omega. What omega could change my mind?
It’s very unfortunate Swatch put Omega’s name so prominently on the Moonswatch. It’s a cheap Swatch, the design is Omega, but given its really a Swatch and not an Omega, Swatch should be the name that’s on top and on the strap. Swatch is potentially hurting its own brand value in Omega long term with that thing?
As amazing as the PRX 40 is, the flat profile and large lug to lug is just too big for most people’s wrists. The 35 is too small I think they need a 37/38 mm.

For a guy who operates a business around luxury watches, getting a £5 haircut was a terrible idea, I would be quite mad too 😂. Great videos by WF&co, by the way.

And that's all that matter at the end of the day, enjoy it!

Right?
I got myself the Tudor Pelagos 39 and I am extremely happy with it. The ceramic bezel really makes the difference.
As Andrew says "I wont name names..", there was barely a second that passed where likely most of those watching immediately thought to themselves "Ah! Nico. He means Nico."
I think he's referring to Teddy Baldassarre 😮
Or he was just referring to himself.
@@daniellehotsky1776 I agree, he is my favorite youtuber when it comes to watches. My point was that I think he's one the guys WF&Co were referring to. No need from them to throw shade at others in the business, just stick to your thing and let others succeed as well.

They are not "that" good but you recommended almost all of them at one point or another.
Nothing's perfect. You can get value for money out of something that isn't the ultimate ne plus ultra. Tissot is the Nissan of watches, and that's fine.

I love my prx
Until you have a 5990 or even 5980 on your wrist you don’t know what you don’t know. For the record I’ll never be able to have one either.
The Nautilus has a nice dial but it sits very weird on the wrist. And the clasp is a pain in the a** Didn't like it...
Then Instagram happened and it became a flex.
also its not that good looking they elephant ears makes it even more uglyier
The prx is just super good on wrist, fun to wear with no worries ( especially the quartz ones - gorgeous dials), it s a dream beater and a no brainer.
Nope, it’s pants. Nothing fantastic about it.

I don't agree with you. I am a big fan of watches and the only reason I haven't gotten these type of expensive ones is just because I earn so little

How can I reach him
I've read numerous success stories of people that are pulling off tremendous gains of up to $120k within weeks in this crazy market and I just want to learn how to achieve such figures.
I dont agree with what was said about Tissot PRX. The integrated band was not mentioned, which is really impressive for the price point.
Lot of brokies will say the prx is great but it isn't even the best watch at it's pricepoint.
@TheMonsterHunterTV Again. Not the point which I was trying to make. Nonetheless I don't expect everyone to understand my perspective.
The integrated band is uncomfortable and is difficult to change out
It feels incredibly cheep. Rather a Hamilton at the same price point
The PRX bracelet is so good, it’s worth the price alone. I can’t speak for the quartz, as I have the powermatic, but assume it’s the same. It punches waaaay above its weight. It’s truly an excellent bracelet. But for the price? It’s unreal.
yeah but the second hand alignment is horrible
The BB58, as you highlight, is a jack of all trades, which is why I purchased the 925 sterling silver version as you see far fewer of them than the others. Overall, I think the 58 is an amazing watch and will hold mine for life.
Good choice. The silver BB is a gem of a watch.
The no. 1 would be RM. It has its purpose to transfer wealth, but to actually wear it just feels cheap.
Looks it as well, to me any way!. too much of a pantomime.
I have an answer. Mido has better finish and is very close to the price point. The PRX metal brazelet is not very smooth at all. I own both watches.

As the owner of a 3861 Speedy, a BB58 and a 1954 Beetle, this post is spot on 🤣

I get more compliments on it more than I had expected. I love the watch and yes it is budget friendly. Not everyone has $20,000 to buy a waxy that you only wear to special occasions, $5,000 for a weekend watch and $10,000 for a work watch M-F.

The Lunar Pilot also costs way more.
But the Moonswatch still really sucks, it shouldn't cost anything over 100€

Not really comparable watches
Yooooo, that Longines are really really good ❤
Longine legend is very nice I may get one one day
This may sound a bit ridiculous but my Pelagos not feeling special is somewhat of a plus. I don’t mind scratches, it’s not shiny so it doesn’t grab attention, it’s extremely durable, and for the 6 years I’ve had it it hasn’t missed a beat. @@jose7777777777777777 that’s fair- and honestly I get the Pelagos more than I get the black bays - but it’s still expensive. But wear what you like and if you love it then who cares what anybody else thinks
You have a video where the tissot prx and the patek phillipe nautilus are both mentioned and it feels so right.
Andrew --
This is a very constructive and thoughtful commentary.

Ridiculous how Eterna get no respect at all .
What you said about the Patek's design language was spot-on!
2:32 THE PRX NEEDS A NEW TIMESTAMP!
If this sounds like hype, it is, because this is a watch worth hyping."
And now. a headline that essentially says,...Well it ain't THAT great.
(crickets)
I give up. Wear what you like and who cares what others think. A person who judges you by what you wear on your wrist says more about them, than about you.
Spot on with the Patek Philippe Nautilus. Most of the time i wonder why do ppl even buy this. AP Royal Oak has the best Design Ever

She was shocked to find out it is £25k at retail and mortified that it is around 4 times the price on resale.
She asked me why, I replied simply: the online hype.
And also the poor understanding of many when it comes to auctions, to charity and what it actually means.
Great video, it went straight to my heart.
Haven't seen anything more beautiful than PRX with mother of pearl dial for the same price. If there is something let me know
Agree with you on Rolex and moonswatch and 5711.
The 5711 is really flimzy and honestly don’t know what the hype is all about
Don’t agree on PRX and BB58. Both these watches are amazing and good value.
Since you mentioned the PRX, I am still hoping for your coverage of the Citizen Tsuyosa. That goes for a similar target market and is a great option at the price.
I like the look of it
@@CrashCarson14looks like someone smashed the PRX and an OP homage together, imo the handset doesn’t work and feels derivative
I mean you made an entire video on the tissot prx praising it.
It's almost like they make clickbait vids ... and don't care about having a consistent perspective / point of view.
Rolex like a moonswatch, nailed it 😆
What’s with RM. How do they justify the price? I just don’t get it. Especially the rubber bands for straps. Thanks Andrew
The PRX is quartz greatness for the price, and mysteriously for me it becomes lovelier every day. Andrew, are you feeling ok?
I own tissot, but prx reminds me front od washing machine, cant unsee it all the time i see one 🫣
THANKS !!
@@lndyrd There are people who take their watches too seriously ... and the MoonSwatch seems a pretty good way to reliably get them cranky, eh? 😉
I think many well known luxury brands will just be meh if the names were taken off.
I was thinking of getting my son the green waffle dial PRX. Looks great on paper. Looked terrible on his slightly
They make a 35mm for his wrist size
Your son is lucky to have you and his friends will likely agree after they see the new watch his old man gave him. Great choice, quite the upgrade too 👍
Can you be my new dad? I'm 48 and very well-behaved.
I've had a moonswatch for about a year and other than a scratch on the crystal, it has been great. Very cool to wear and an excellent convo starter.
It would be dead in the first 1-2 days on my wrist , plastic case and no WR.
Buy what you like and enjoy.
Finally. Somebody reasonable. No watches are 'good value' -- they're completely useless in the 21st Century ... and ... that's 100% not the point.
It's a great deal.
would love to get dornbluth one day
Well said. 👌
Good topic this... I've sold 4 great watches and have ended up with just a G shock while I try again to find the "perfect" watch.... the trick is to find what YOU love, without following hype (which is how I ended up buying and selling a few Speedies and an IWC Mark 16).... figure out what YOU love... even if it's a Hublot 😅
P.s. Great point about rolex. I've decided not to get one. There are more gems to find with JLC, Zenith, older Omega and many others, for less money
And the Black Bay is duuuuuull (to me anyway)
Me, looking at the title and seeing "Tudor": OH, NO YOU DIDN'T!!!!
Thanks Sid! I’m agree
10000% percent agree on the patek and the PRX, the black bay is nice though.
I’ve forgotten how comfortable the PRX is compared to my other watches
You are brutal but honest.
The Vacheron Constantin looks and is class
You forgot to mention that the 5711 was one of the designs AP tossed in the trash when deciding on the royal oak. So 2nd best was 1st best for Patek
PP: Ouch
I love your work, I beg to disagree with the swatch opinion. If this gets a young version of me interested in watches = AWESOME. Let’s be careful to the path to watch snobbery. Please take this comment in the spirit it was intended: U rock but even the best might miss from time to time… I do. All the best!
what do you think about the Tissot Seastar?
Casio Edifice and Citizen Tsuyosa offer much more value for the money compared to PRX.
