This is one of the most important talks you've given. I adore GC's book "The Moment of Astrology." It helps to remember that when in the ancient world people went to Delphi or stood before the Sybil at Cumae, they trembled-- in reverence, fear and awe. Because they were in the presence of something beyond their normal sense of reckoning, something called "divination." And it was uttered in a language of symbols, not everyday words as they knew it.

On a Tuesday, I found a wallet in the road with all the contents in the morning and a TODDLER trying to cross a busy road in the late afternoon. In both cases, no one would help me. I went to the police after I tried multiple other outlets to contact the owner. The dispatcher sent me there and when I arrived, they would not take the wallet. It was on my way home from there when I came across the baby. Im not sure if it was bystander effect or what, but no one would help me with the baby either. It was such a crazy situation. I had to stop traffic etc. I couldn’t find the family. I tried to flag down a pedestrian to call the police, and she exclaimed “I’m on the phone!” thankfully, I finally found the family but that was also a little sad how that turned out. I’m so grateful to my protectors that the scenario with the baby did not wind up differently (as in me hitting a baby with my car). I’m a Virgo Rising, Virgo Moon and Gemini Sun.
OMG I love Virgos because many things but this this this this❤ thank you that’s our baby. Our toddler our wallet we’re taking care of each other we’re supposed to aren’t we I’m a Scorpio son sun cancer moon aqua rising so I’m basically a very dangerous to myself baby from another planet and if I didn’t have my Virgo friends and neighbors probably would’ve stumbled into situations I have already 5 decades in. The stereotype about Virgo being critical is just such BS because if anything are hard on themselves and if there are meddling or busybody in someone else’s life it’s not because they think they are better or they’re good shoes it’s because they care. When When our Virgo people stop caring this world going to hell for sure all the way… thank you for being someone who does something instead of just saying something. It’s scary that we live in a time where a situation like that especially the latter one with the toddler people tend to collectively take I don’t get involved approach and look at someone who does if we are the crazy ones. First I want to say how much I love this.
I read I Ching and Tarot and am currently studying Astrology at Night Light. I also do a bit of spell craft, mostly in the form of charms. I have been saying for a while now that these activities are primarily a form of entertainment. People are often put off by this because they think it denagrates these srts. I claim that in including divination and even "magik" in the same stream as the arts of music, poetry, story telling, etc. I am not putting divination DOWN, rather, I am lifting the other arts UP. The arts we asdociate with "mere" entertaient ALL began as methods of making the spirit world visible to mortals. It still is that. Even when it is a hollywood blockbuster or crude intrrnet meme.
Remember, fortune tellers have long traveled with acrobats, jesters and bards, there is a reason for that.
On the topic of the "accuracy" of the chart, I'll never forget the first time I saw my natal chart in the whole house sign system instead of the more commonplace, Placidus. I was overnight an 8th (not 7th) house sun. I was both lost and found in that moment.
This video was so thought-provoking and the issues raised in that beautful essay by Geoffrey Cornelius could serve as a jumping off point for every astrological topic in the book. I think that is exactly what the essayist wanted; for us to have a conversation with others AND with the oracle. Astrology is divination. Divinition is magic. Magic is power. Power will be fought over. It may be a testament to just how powerful astrology is that it remains on the defensive and arrives in disguise.
Appreciated your introduction perception that confirms i information from different modalities doesn't define soul. I love this episode and the little bit different of an angle you take in it to explain astrological ideas! Although, I always enjoy listening to your TH-cam episodes, this one gave me what I feel are more concrete understandings of astrology, and how I think about it. At the beginning of it, I was definitely thinking that I don’t agree with the idea of astrology being more a kin to an oracle, and from about the middle to the end I had a solid idea about why thinking of astrology as an oracle is such a better way to do it!
Jung tapped into this aspect of human experience with his awareness and use of synchronisity.

Loved this so much, as I sensed something like this but hadn’t been able to formulate it aside feeling hugely inadequate & unable to know anything at all if I didn’t know things for certain … yet the more I tried to be sure the less sure I became until I gave up & realized the sky beings weren’t yet speaking to me or I didn’t yet have anything clicking into place for me with understanding Astrology. (I’ve a 3H♑️ mercury sq 6H♉️ Saturn, & take forever & a day to collate, speak, hear a different’ language & understand anything, but when I’ve got it, I have it completely tho have to wait decades for enough puzzle 🧩 pieces to fit into place before I get the reveal of what I’m actually doing)… this talk was a big piece about trusting subjectivity as it has a direct link to objectivity tho not always with the clarity we’d like at the time. I feel some self confidence I didn’t have before your reading & that alluded me up to now. Not a confidence I know anything, but more that I can be as ready as anyone else if I make a moment sacred & connect in to the divine plan/source.. ✨thank you ✨🙏🏼 (both) ✨

I would love to render a 3D view of todays sky by gathering current planetary positions, create a spherical model representing those positions accurately with respect to their ecliptic coordinates, implement interactive features for exploration, and finally render this model using appropriate graphics technology with AI. Can it be done? Will it be done? And will Adam stand in the middle of a 3D video one day? To show us the sky as he really sees it. I think it's a very high probability. Now that would be Epic! As a child born into a large family, my mother ( now deceased) was never able to give me an exact ‘birth time’ except to say “I remember I missed dinner”…… therefore “Can I ever be truly read?”. Ultimately, I have after using divinatory readings- taken what is needed at the time- assistance and affirmation that “there is a better future”. Although I will admit- THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH- of seeing things forecast - by complete strangers- become manifest in ‘my world- Years later. ….. The choice in daily living is mine, and over moments, days, months, years the choices I have made- reflect the centred Being I am/ or not….. so back to Shakespearen thinking on the stage of this current Planet we are on sharing a collective Experience as ‘Living Beings’.. To Be or Not To Be? But here I propose- with vitality in mind- To Do or Not To Do can also be a modicum of choice that outweigh the guidance, thoughts and cultural conditioned mind of another ultimately Guiding You. If you do a reading, give love- affirmation and seek to impart wisdom- then you should be ‘right’ and of service to those that have chosen the advice you impart.

As a student of astrology since '96, i do not need outside validation of it's usefulness, but Paramahansa Yogananda said that noone needs to be bound to their astrology chart.There are karma burning methods, specifically kriya yoga. The more we are bound mentally and physically, the more we are stuck in jargon and thoughts, the less liberated we actually are. And astrology can also be one of those traps. True liberation goes beyond all this mental activity. That being said, astrology is still very interesting.
And to me, astrology as divination, completely frees us from the deterministic framework...same basic idea Yogananda had IMO!
