My bathroom toilet has been overflowing for the past couple of years (I didn’t want to ask my landlord as he’s an old curmudgeon). Yesterday, I woke with the idea that I could fix it myself, so, after watching a TH-cam video I purchased the necessary kit from my local plumbing supplies, contacted a neighbour, a 70 year old lesbian plumber, for moral support & help and we set to work on the antiquated system. After taking it all to pieces we figured out the issue and took the valve lever and bent it at an angle to prevent the tank overfilling. I also figured out how to reduce the water pressure. Given that I’m 61 and have never attempted anything like this before, I felt a huge sense of achievement. Thank you mercury uranus trine.

My 18.5 old fridge broke, I mean I was cleaning a tone of ice ( someone let the door open) and I was ferocious with a knife and pierced it, and I had no 'light bulb' to turn it off and could have welded it and save it . Oh well, maybe it was time for someone new :)
