dont see this as being exceptionally difficult. Not done it but would certainly give it a go. If the battery is shot Id gamble the cost of a battery against having to buy a new one, well worth a try

Nope !!!🎉 looks fairly easy !! And buying a replacement battery for under $15 with FREE delivery sounds way cheaper than a new one. Come on we all like a challenge and PLUS love saving money. Ordering my battery now !!!

this is for an older model WITHOUT lightning connector. Maybe inside configuration is same.
planned obsolescence... Apple making sure it`s hard as f*&( to change the battery.
Its an environmental crime that Apple does that.
How is that planned obsolescence.? A battery has only a certain life span ... now if you want to update the software... that’s another story
Why is my ipad 3 very warm can you tell me ,I just got few days ago, paid £209, 00 I'm from UK , it was off eBay seller, I'm waiting to see what he's going to do, if not eBay will have to sort it for me,

June Dobson idk my iPad Air just won't charge it just works fine for me yesterday but today it didn't even say it's charging than their must be something wrong with the iPad instead.
Your iPad may get warm because you have a lot of apps open., or because there is an issue with the charger, or because the battery is starting to fail.
Insanity.
Easy I'm 61 and ordering my battery I'll write up how it goes.
To change a battery? Apple is such an obsolete joke most times yet changing a frikn battery sets a new low.😅
Apple's stupid design. WOW... all of that just to replace the battery.
