All good in video except you did not show that the bottom right corner contains all the wiring connections and they get ripped out when you drag the metal piece to loosen the glass. Other than that, very good video!
Yeah same here, had to lift up a bit using a small plastic then slide the battery connector in place...it wasn't easy but had to lift some some a bit to get in...so for anyone else out there wondering about that trick there ya go;)
Hi. What a quick work 👍🏼! My iPad just died and would not charge anymore. I took it to apple store for a repair, they said the battery is not the problem they said „it is simply unrepairable“. I want to try changing the battery myself, but I need to know what materials and tools I must have. I have ipad air wifi 16GB. Thanks in advance.

PC is no problem. I opened up, fixed and upgraded a few laptops. Doing a couple of All-in-1 PCs at the moment. iPad Air battery replacement would be next
Amazing video. I wanted to know whether there's any risk of explosion when we apply heat on the backside of the Ipad battery. I don't know why, but batteries freak me out.
Your only supposed to warm up the glue to help remove it. If you make it very hot you could cause issues, however if the battery is depleated the risk is low.
I mean thanks for the video but because of you I've ruined my screen connection, you did NOT mention that you need to pay close attention in how you detach the screen from the case and which areas you avoid. Another thing you have to point out that when you attach the battery you need to raise the socket altogether so that the connector of the battery will pass under.
Hi, greet video thanks, i got a little problem after the battery replacment, the top of my screen is not responding do you now what the problem can be?
Removing the battery is the hardest part. I ended up piercing the battery with my tweezers and trying to pry broke all my plastic tools. I had to order a new set.
Very important to know what model you have. I was following a video that said to remove the right side, when that was the side on mine that needs to stay intact because the antenna runs around the outside of the glass and attaches on the lower right side. Make sure of your model before doing this.
I followed the istructions, replaced the battery and ipad works but it doesn't recharging! By the way, there is the lightning symbol. Any ideas? Thank you!
Thanks for the video! I’m about to replace the battery on my iPad Air, but I’ve noticed that the ifixit guide requests that you remove the entire logic board and antenna setup. Do you think that process is necessary for beginners, or do you think this way is easier?
TengTong, there are so many manufacturers that I could not say with having only this information...but the question is if they sell it like an original one, because if is so , and isn t ...things do not look good. Thank you for asking and have a nice day!
Hmmm, I would've added at the end before you seal it up wipe the screen and inside surface of the glass digitizer free of dust and fingerprints or you'll be looking at a dirty screen every time you use it!
@@MovilonePhoneRepair I want to thank you all for posting this video. My grandson told me that his iPad Air battery will not hold a charge. I ordered the battery, I watched your video I took it apart. It took me about an hour it worked out great. I knew I could do it. Because I have an iPhone 5c. I have taken it apart four times because I dropped it and broke the screen. Rather than to pay Sprint $400 for a new iPhone 5c I ordered the part and repair it myself for $28.00. What's a breeze compared to taking the iPhone 5c apart though. Thanks a million!!!! My nine-year-old grandbaby is going to be happy that Granny fixed his iPad.
DONT DO THIS. Remove the motherboard before removing the battery. Putting something between the battery and the battery connector puts you at a high risk of damaging the battery connector, causing your ipad to be stuck in a boot loop.
Battery needs to disconnect first , lcd needs cleaned with acetone and clean room cloth , clean off old glue , new 3m adhesive for screen, it is 1 hour job for novice . 30 min in shop if done correctly . Just take to shop, if you damage glass then you need to spend £20 more
Hello, Silas! It should last more...a day or two, depends of the working. You might have a problem with the charging ic or with the quality of the baterry... Thank you for asking and best regards!

Um... if I have to remove something in the front in order to get to the back what do I do? And if your battery won't charge it should hold no charge so how would it fry?
Exactly what I was thinking, why did he connect the battery before he connected the digitizer and the LCD. One bad move with those connectors and you might destroyed something on the motherboard!

Hello, I replaced my battery based on video information and re-assembled it. I put my IPad on charge 2-3 hours and turned it on. After I entered my password, I see a 1% of charge then after a few seconds, it switch to 40%. 2-3 minutes later, it did a reboot. After the reboot, I can see again a 1% of charge then after a few seconds, it switch to 39% of charge and reboot once again. Is there someone have an idea of that problem.

What kind of industrial glue? Could you tell me the characteristics?
b7000
Excellent video! My seven year old ipad is running again and looking good.
What generation module is this iPad? Also would a newer generation battery work? Or does it have to be the same as the iPad?
What Ipad Air Gen is it? 3? And do you really need to remove the glass from screen. Can‘t you remove the whole screen unit like on the iphones.
Did you need to glued back after installing new battery

Isn't it necessary to hook up a small cell before removing the battery to keep the installed data intact ?
