I saw Shellac in Pittsburgh in 2006 and they played this place that used to be a church, and they were LOUD. During the show I kept feeling little things falling on my head. I kept wondering what it was, and looked up only to realize that it was little bits of plaster. Plaster was actually coming off of the ceiling because the sound was so powerful. I shit you not.
I think this song is set up intentionally to catch non-fans. Everyone who started cheering before he said "at the dog and pony show" must've thought the song was over.
