    Incredible. One word describes it all. Elegant and sweet, it's like watching two people slow dancing under the moonlight. The white one, so naive and full of dreams while the red one, hot-headed but caring. A beautiful pair for the unloved and the young loved. How the legacy moves on in the end was so inspiring that tears came out of my very eye sockets. I'm happy that the animation was made and I hope that in real life, people can be selfless and caring like them. We should learn something from those two.

    For those who don't get it:
    The red flower was not a bad one. Let's remember that she did saved the white by showing up and making the "deer" ran off. But why did she do that? Because by killing(it was poisonous for those who don't remember) the deer, it would allow her friend, the white flower, to give her nutrients to the dead deer. Remeber the part where the white one asked why it would be so bad to be eaten? She would be part of something bigger by doing that but the bigger thing would be only the deer. What could be bigger than that? Leaving others with your own self. That is why the red one killed the deer.
    At least, that is how I saw it.

    i love the characterisation of the red flower. she is portrayed visually as the bad guy but her cleverness to create a situation where the white flower will get her descendents and sun she wished for is truly beautiful and done amazingly by the creators. she is so caring and sacrifices herself to allow the white flower to live on, where as she herself probably wanted to get her revenge and then be with her loved ones again. the overall plot of the movie was absolutely inspiring.

    Did anyone else notice that at the beginning the red flower told the white one that sometimes the most beautiful things are the most dangerous. And that as she healed and became more beautiful the poison in her grew stronger which eventually killed the deer ;)?

    About nature and how it works. Animals carry seeds from fruits, pods, etc., that they eat or get attached to their fur and when deposited in the earth some take root and grow. It is the circle of life on a grand scale. This video was like an opera and was so very wonderful.

    What a wonderful and meaningful story. How deeply it explains the most basic instincts we possess. Through these 2 characters entire human emotional pallet shines through. Red flower seemed to be bitter, angry and vengeful, whilst White flower was filled with joy and dreams. It is, as if an older woman, who had rather grim life shares a room with young beautiful, yet inexperienced girl. Part of her wants to shield that girl from possible misfortunes that may come if she wonders off in to that world of wonders, but other half wants her to experience same misery she did.

    I believe the red flower might of been good, as with the white. The white one wanted to expand and... Do positive stuff, while the red one had the exact same goals. When the red one got it's beauty back, it also got it's poison back. So in turn, the red sacrificed itself so the white may have positive stuff but also taking revenge on the deer.

      +Dartfish It seemed like the red one used the white one to get her poison back and lure the deer thingy towards her right before he was to eat her. When she got eaten, she was doing it as revenge for her family's death. However, when the white one was crushed and died, the fly made life from death. The red flower told the white that she and the deer would never have descendants. But that's exactly what they did.

  • @rosefilipo9721
    @rosefilipo9721 8 ปีที่แล้ว +388

    It seemed like the red flower got its revenge by gaining its strength back and killing the animal that killed its family and by kiiinda smartly fooling the white flower to leer away those little insect things that kept the red flower from healing properly. Somehow the red flower still did the White flower a big positive favour cause the White flower still ended up gaining a huuuuge family from it all.... :) I liked this video :)

      if the red flower wanted to get the revenge ,then she could let the deer to eat the white flower it was poisons too . the deer would have died after eating the white flower thus the red can have her revenge. but no, she protected the white flower from the deer when she was sleeping . the red one sacrifice her self so the white one can have a light life .and you are dark or you are ugly doesn't mean that you are a bad

      Humayoun Roshid The white flower wasnt poisonous. The red flower was pure evil. As usual, it manipulated and lied to get what it wanted, it is pure selfishness. It wanted to kill something. And it did. It targeted the pure, the forgiving innocent... But in the end, the Good Pure Innocent flourished, and bloomed, and prospered. Just like the Bible tells us. So, all of the liars, with selfish agendas....beware.

    Her friend wanted to expand, The Red flower put it into consideration.
    She asked her to sacrifice her beauty so the Red flower could become poisonous as the Deer would have killed the White Orchid. She then, Planned to wait for the Deer then killed it. Killing 2 birds with one stone. She got revenge and the White Orchid got her wish to become more.
    [Red is a True Friend, White is a Dreamer friend]
    But the thing that irks me, Is that the Red Flowers family was there before, It kind of gives me the feeling that The whole thing will go in a Continuous loop of never ending genocide.

    This story is beautiful. It shows how compassionate the red flower really is! shes sacrificing herself so that the white flower really can be something so much more. shes fulfilling the white flowers dreams and hopes to be something bigger and wonderful. though when i first saw the red one as a child. i really thought she was the evil one HAHAH but apparently not, she knows what this beast would do and would refrain the white one getting her dream fulfilled. sorry for the lame explanation.

      +Shirene Ng I disagree. The Red Flower was manipulative and selfish and only jumped in front of the white flower for revenge. The white flower was killed because of this. By chance, the white flower was buried beneath the deer and propagated from the deceased nutrients.

      The red flower was the hero!! Think about it...Your whole family is murdered. Your best friend falls in love with the murderer, KNOWING that he is the murderer of your WHOLE family! And you know that the person WILL murder your friend too. Your friend makes a crazy statement like, "I wish he would murder me." You don't want your friend to get involved. BTW the white flower was obviously suffering some sort of delusion from captivity....she WANTED to be murdered! The red flower was the hero for all of the reasons: She avenged her family
      protected her friend
      and gave her own life so others could survive, her own or her friend's

    I don't get why the poison flower is depicted as such a bad guy - she protects the other flower her whole life. All of the bugs are attracted to her (until she asks for the other flower to 'distract' them, so she can become poisonous again), she scares the creature away so the other flower isn't eaten. And then, once she is poisonous again, she Sacrifices herself, so the other flower doesn't have to go through the pain of being eaten or trampled like her family did. Of course, the other flower dies - as all things die at some point, and thanks to the creature And the 'poisonous' flower, she gets to have descendants - which she couldn't have had if she were eaten. Moral of the story? You can't always get what you want - but if you try sometimes - you just might find, you get what you need!
    TLDR: The depicted bad guy is actually the good guy looking out for someone. They are bad because they didn't give someone what they wanted - which was to be Eaten. Another possible moral: We should let self destructive people self destruct (and possibly take down their family with them) and if anyone tries to stop them from that, then they are bad? SMH

      No! For all we know, the red flowers poisoned the deer thing's family. This is HOW it knows NOT TO EAT THE RED FLOWERS. Deers run from danger or startle from threats. Seeing your family start dropping after eating the same red flowers would make anyone want to destroy them all. That would call for a higher intelligence. If an animal is scared it will run ,not caring where it steps. It could have been an accidental thing but, then it wouldn't be afraid of the red flowers. The red flower tested to see if the animal would approach to eat the white flower. She hid and then showed herself to see if he remembered. Which, he did! It WAS revenge! IT WAS SELFISH AND CALCULATING. The red flower was a murderer,as well. By taking her revenge and murdering the dear thing, she caused the death of the white flower by the deer thing crushing it.

    The red flower did not realize that the deer killed her relatives by trampling them because it was being chased by a predator itself. So the deer was just trying to save its own life. It shows a glimpse of the deer looking over its shoulder right before it tramples the flowers. The animation is just showing that in nature everything has a season, the deer took the lives of all the red flowers and in the end it was the body of the deer that gave life back to many flowers. All the white flower ever wanted was to be a part of the deer and in the end they were intertwined together forever. Just like Jesus Christ gave His life so that we may have everlasting life with The Creator.

    The only thing about this otherwise near perfect animation that bugs me is the red flower referencing Romeo and Juliet. I can accept these creatures talking because we can just take it for granted that they're communicating in their own plant language that we probably wouldn't even be able to hear in person. But if this is really, like, a hundred thousand years in the future and we humans are, from the looks of it, long gone, it just doesn't sit right with me that they'd somehow be aware of what Romeo and Juliet is.

    • @Mangakings111
      @Mangakings111 9 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      I think you're thinking too much into it. I didn't see anywhere in this that said humans are "long gone". Perhaps this is the forest, and humans don't visit this part of the forest very often. Humans don't have anything to do with this.

      Evolution does not mean extinction. Though it is a possibility, nothing in this video implies extension of humans, or any other creature for that matter.

    When people pretend to do something "in your best interest" simply because they are older and therefore, that fact alone makes them wiser than you (aside: it was difficult, since this short was about flowers, not to insert a reference to a flower "bud" before "wiser"), sometimes they really don't. Sometimes, they're just being selfish and scheming for themselves as they have done their whole life; hmm, kind of like a lot of politicians.

    That's not how flowering plants work, but I liked it a lot!
    More realistically, if it were to have a more flowering ending, the white flower would go to seed, aka DIE, then the seeds would either get eaten by the deer and spread through it's scat, or they'd get caught in the deer's fur and spread that way, but that'd be a thorny type flower, but a pretty one.
    Also why was the White, young and pretty flower the good guy, and the dark, old flower (voiced by the black woman) the villain?
    I thought we outgrew that shit?

    • @TheNyleve16

      Well it seems more like the story of romeo and juliet but with hope at the end. Even though the young flower's desires to become one with the deer didn't went exactly as she planned at the end her wishes came true and those who enjoyed the results of her hopes were her decendants. The moral would sound like "Don't give up on your goals no matter how hard it gets to achieve them cause even if you may not see the results at the end your hopes can become the solution for the future".
