For those who don't know, putting a vampire mansion next to a village is heavy synergy. There are lots of synergies the game hints at in dialouge but the cards themselves don't

Yeah man I only picked up on it eventually when I hovered the Village tile in the Vampire track area and was like, "oh this does a thing, not sure if good or bad but gotta give it a go..." And then and THEN the magic happens. Layers on layers man, it's a beautiful thing with Loop Hero~

To be fair I understand why the person thought it might not be the full version. The full version you would expect to at least say its version 1. It says at the bottom right version 0.9

I don't think those are necessarily mutually exclusive. It can be a "full version" as in a version with all the features -as opposed to a demo-, but not necessarily the FINAL release of the game. No?
@@AdrianVM19, 1.0 is almost never the final version of a game, take Terraria (1.4.1) or Minecraft (1.16.2). 1.0 usually signifies the release build.

The high resolution font was a huge change bc I couldn’t tell what was 2 and what was 8 thanks to youtube compression.

Oh also big like for the ability to switch the font, it does sacrifice a bit of character, but due to my vision issues it is really hard for me to read that type of pixel font, so I am happy they provide an option! Was relying on you saying what stuff did before
Always happy to see stuff like this, large fonts, subtitles for just about *anything*, and colourblind-friendly modes in games.
As a legally blind person, hard agree. It's a shame it looks so awkward, but options are so good and so easy to overlook
From the outset, I already love that I legitimately can't think of any game to compare this one to. It's just too unique of a concept.

In theory, the beacon would play well with heavy counter % builds. The more your enemy attacks you, the more counterattacks you can proc.
Beacon is a symmetrical effect thats main function is to speed you up so less days pass between loops.
I'm so glad you're going to continue this. I'm going to go watch the VOD because I can't contain my POG and I need more.
I'm loving the HD text.
Didn't have a problem reading the aesthetic text, but the HD text is miles easier to just skim.
Beacon: synergizes with defense, damage to all, evasion, and counter. Destroy with Oblivion if your good gear already has attack speed. IMO, outclassed by blood groves/hungry groves, which shave off 15-20% of all nearby mobs hp, and produce flesh golems, which are a great source of high level loot, once skeletons and blood clots stop keeping up.
Only played through the demo but +1 for blood grove. The best loot I've found is from them

You don't have to play every card. There's actually a resource you haven't seen yet because it is acquired by filling up your hand and discarding cards.

NL placing the meadow beside any building, including stuff like vampire houses/treasuries makes it fertile
In a similar vein, if you surround the treasury's adjacent 8 tiles with anything the treasury gives mad resources

Pro tip: If possible, save your Oblivion cards for the boss. The Lich gets a boost for every Palace tile around it (and he spawns a bunch when he pops in), so if you can use the Oblivions to get rid of some of them, you make the fight much easier.

Finally... the potential for a Loop Hero series
If you really want an immersive experience, watch this episode on repeat until episode two comes out
Gymnasium is insanely good and a game changer. It adds exp gauge and level up perks to the game.
In my opinion, when getting armour and building rocks, the focus should be the stats. Most of the armours just give max Hp bonus, so if your hp is already not at max, it won't make much of a difference. For the rocks and mountains same thing, there's no need to build more and risk being swarmed by goblins, if your character is already not picking up with the pace. Wait to it to pick up and restore to full health to start thinking on investing on max hp again.
I already pre-ordered after the last video, now you get the full game. This is an outrage. *Proceeds to watch video*

NL you should put the beacon right next to the loop since it increases movement speed and doesnt really do anything else because the attack speed buff is the same for you and the enemy so it just gets you faster to the camp which is very pog
so hyped for the release of this game!
You can use the beacons to manipulate your days and day-loop timing to stack better effects and enemy compositions while advancing loops faster to get better loot quicker :) i.e. You move faster but the day goes by at the same speed. Overall less enemies to fight when they don't have time to spawn which means less loot but it becomes stronger later when you can sustain the fights easily but don't want too much enemies to have good HP on the boss while being able to place a ton of cards :)
The soundtrack combined with your voice is so relaxing
For the big mountain you want to surround it with more mountains, that will give more more max XP.
Meadows you can place surrounding the path next to buildings.
P.S. You can double dip treasuries, that means that you need 3 less tiles to surround them both. If you have 4 treasuries you can put them in a square and share the entire middle section. (Of course you need to place tiles in the right spot to not lock it out).
P.S.S. Surround treasuries fully to get more rewards.
Adding to one of your tips:
Making the big mountain out of rocks, then surrounding it with mountains, is better than making it out of mountains and surrounding it with rocks.

"Good 1st run" - yeah ok - here is a few tips to make it great then :-D
1: Treasuries are important! They give a lot of resources and give the exact same bonus for the meadows as the mountains! Placing meadows next to mountains is a waste! Like actually just ruins it. (look for why in 2)
Treasuries can be "gamed" a bit. 1st trick: Only build on one side of your treasuries. to begin with. You can "chain" them if you wait on placing the last row of meadows till you have a 2nd treasury. This saves on space + saves on the amount of meadows you need to unlock them (So if you are going for 2 treasuries you would normally need 16 meadows to open them. If you chain them you only need 13. This adds up because if you are going for 3 - you only need 18 - so you basically almost get a "buy 2 get 3" situation. NOW - 2nd trick - if you get creative and have the space for it, you can do several things. If you make a low card deck build with focus on treasuries, you can make more advanced combos, the simplest of which is the 2x2. The concept of this is the same as the first trick, however you save even more. Simplified: make a 3x3 grid where you start with the corners all being treasuries. Then fill in meadows all around them. This build gives you 4 treasuries for 21 meadows. The more advanced version have you stacker them by one to get more adjacency bonuses for the meadows.
2: Rocks and mountains are important for your late game. Placing them at random is actually a horrible idea. First off - when making the "3x3" square, ONLY use rocks. Using mountains essentially wastes 10 max hp pr mountain (Rocks gives 2 hp +2 adjacency bonus = 10hp. Mountains 0 +5 adjacency bonus = 20hp)
When placing the first rock, put it in the very center of the largest build area. When you have completed the center, just plonk everything wherever. If you want to min/max it, only use rocks where it's not possible to get a 4 side adjacency bonus. A rock covered on 3 sides gives 8 hp and thus only loses 2 hp, where a mountain covered on 3 sides gives 15 and thus loses 5.
Can go on here - but this is already TL:DR! LOL
Love you NL and i'm full pog on the streaming more and porting to YT, I know you usually write that it's a vod in the description but it's missing this time. It's obvious once you interact with the chat of course, just a small quality of life suggestion for us stream viewers to more easily know if we've seen the content or not without getting half jebaited and having some people turn bitter like they do. (I still try to click like anyway on the series i find poggy)
