What I don’t understand is how hard to realize it attacks just like a Rook in chess. Only in straight Horizontal/Vertical lines, at least 2 spaces away
I won't say it was Cuphead tutorial video levels of bad, but NL will deserve all the flak he will get for this. Could NL just not see the orange cross due to some color blindness he was either hiding for years or just not aware of? Are we having a Winston moment?

UNITS CAN'T ATTACK DIAGONALLY!!!!!! Thats why you failed understanding your artillery. Also your tank acts like the tower in chess. So use its Range instead of putting it in the middle!! And with your "I have to get enemies to fall into water" you're just making it harder for yourself. It's a nice bonus if it's possible but don't limit yourself to that so much!!!
I think this will be a great new series! Thanks for trying out new games, NL; I never would've heard of this new game from Subset. FTL is still one of my favorites!
I have a lot of trouble believing he was actually any good, and that's coming from a chess team nerd as well. He displays none of the skills a chess player would need to succeed, especially foresight and creativity.
I don't know how far your backlog is but in-case you missed it, the orange tiles tell you where you can attack, you failed to notice that when using your arty mech in the tutorial. Also, you can hold ALT to see the order of how the enemy turn will play out, environments such as fire, always go first, and NPC's like a train, go last.
Its actually incredible how NL is incapable of realizing the basic mechanics of the game, despite the game telling him EXACTLY how everything works. Just...wow...
He only made 2 mistakes if you ignore it taking him 20 minutes to understand how firing on the artillery worked despite the vibrant orange squares coloring where they could hit.
DPowered Smith it's also his job and his been doing it for years, if he needs to slow down his commentary which so far has just been explaining his thought process then he should do that so he can actually learn how to play the game.
Oh good, 20 seconds into the freaking tutorial and NL is overthinking basic things and refusing to look at the screen to see the massive highlights that tell you exactly where you can move and attack while wondering how to tell where you can move and attack. This is gonna be a great series

The reason the attack at the end of the first mission got cancelled was because the knockback pushed the area the enemy was attacking off the map.
