From Married With Children, Season 11, Episode 7, 'The Juggs Have Left the Building' Peggy wants to take a holiday in Branson, Missouri, but Al says he can't afford it. The prospect of all-fried food and only twin beds available, however, make him change his mind. Lucky has to stay behind in the care of the D'Arcy's. Then Marcy feels the urge to act out a dirty fantasy at the Bundy's. In Branson, the Bundy's get a room at the Deliverance Inn (yes, just like that movie). Peg and Kelly take part in a country music talent contest.

"The Simpsons" is the longest running animated sitcom of all times. MwC lasted 11 seasons, same numbers of seasons as "Cheers". "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" has 15 seasons on FX and counting.
"Malcolm in the Middle" lasted seven seasons. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" lasted eight seasons between Fox and NBC. "Ally Mcbeal" lasted five seasons. "Arrested Development" too.
The rAciSt Fox had "Bernie Mac Show" in 2001 and "Living Single", one of the biggest sitcoms of the 90s with a predominantly black cast, lasting also five seasons each.

@@DmonHiro My era of TV. I still remember how often republicans attempted to cancel Married with Children and The Simpsons because it offended their sensitives. The irony is that Fox pioneered mature sitcoms yet today, their viewers complain that there is too much raunchy themes in sitcoms.

I watched this show religiously growing up. I don't know how I never saw this episode but it might be the funniest thing to ever come out of this show. Ted McGinley is so incredibly good at playing Al. He's got every mannerism, the voice, facial expressions. It's amazing. Amanda Bears did pretty good at Peg too.
It is relatively easy to look like peg with the clothes and wig but doing such a great impression of Al...his face was so animated...serious acting chops
Peggy's is supposed to be natural on the show. So where did Marcy get the wig on such short notice?

1. Peggy keeps a wig "just in case" something happens eg bad hairstylist (the cruise show "Ship Happens)
2. The D'Arcy couple are rich and can afford to go out to buy (or courier) a wig.

This is inception level good. Actors playing fleshed out characters playing as other believable fleshed out characters and being able to bounce between them without any pause or hesitation. And for them to be so over the top as the bundys then bouncing back to the more subtle Darcys without even breaking a real smile is amazing. That was really a good display of acting despite its low brow nature.
I never saw this episode! Man, can you imagine being in the studio audience for this episode? People must have been busting their sides more than usual.

I believe Jefferson and Steve are underated and don't get enough love when people talk about this show.

@@ivanf1147 They we’re both good in their own right. I liked Steve episodes more because it was the earlier years but I feel like after Ted McGinley stopped trying to be a pretty boy jobless replica of Steve by making fun of the Bundys and became Al’s friend he got better.

I kind of get the impression that the show's creators/writers probably didn't expect it to be as good as it wound up being. Like they were just trying something ridiculous for the hell of it but it struck a chord with the American audience and became a classic. That's what makes it that much more special.
