There are ton of videos/animations/lectures on youtube that show these waves who basically tell stuff printed in textbooks or animate them but nothing comes closer to the details in this video. Sal is just brilliant. Once in a millenia kind of guy. Actually showin the direction of P and S waves from bottom to top is the most important detail that all other videos missed. Amazing
Thanks, you really helped me better understand the material on my test. Next time I'm stuck I'll be sure to come here, and tell my friends about you. Thanks :)
You could use a Pool Noodle. Those floatation devices that look like a day glow two meter noodle. You can shake your noodle and make waves in the noodle, or you can push the noodle for those fast in line of material waves.
Hope you don't mind me asking, but what are your credentials? Are you a P.E. in Civil Engineering or a Structural Engineer? Seismologist? Geologist? Thanks!!
+Luis Vazquez Actually he graduated from MIT. He got PhD. in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and several fields. So, that's why he have a strong background about most of Science Fields.
