At 7:50 Sal says that from the underwater fault ridges there are alternatingly symmetrical aligned magnetic properties in hardened lava. This doesn't surprise me, BUT what does surprise me is that he says the flip-flopping of the magnetic poles is so abrupt. Seemly from north to south and then vice-versa. Wouldn't it take a gradual change over thousands of years to flip the magnetic poles of Earth?

Hi Sal. I was wondering how you were going to cover this topic.
There is a video that uses a map from the National Geophysical Data Center that sows the Ages of the Ocean Floor.
According to this video the earth is expanding, if you bury the more recent ocean floor under the older one... you get a very clear picture of how it expanded.
You can check it out here: watch?v=PQSrsy9xg70
Would be great to hear your comments about it.
    Thanks!

Nealadams website shows this expando-planet theory in detail for not only our earth but other planets as well. Implication is an ever growing planet and Pangea by way of a much smaller earth.

In the days of PELEG was the earth divided (archiPELEGo)

why did the poles switch from one place to the other instantly in opposite dirrections, wouldnt it be a gradual thing?

  • @MrNewkingjames

In the days of PELEG was the earth divided (archiPELEGo) pelagic IS THE EARTH GROWING LARGER.

It would seem that since lava has been and still is and will continue to pour out that there would be a gradual shift.

Here's a crazy theory for you; what if Iceland was the cause of the plates moving?
Like a shard of rock that happened to hit earth just the right way to stick in Like a dart and split the lithosphere.
The cracks all radiate out from Iceland

@lahoucine66 although new crust is being created are a spreading ridge, crust is being destroyed at convergent boundaries (subduction).

      Genesis 1:9-10 (ESV)
9 And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
