Believe it or not but back when HoloID eas first created, they were fairly isolated with the rest of Hololive. Sortly after that Trinero from Holostars debut and the two hooked up and formed a connection thanks to Iofi and Kaoru. I guess both HoloID and Holostars felt the same way back then

Honestly can't believe this is the first time Ollie has been raided, I feel like I would raid her all the time if I streamed.
Keep in mind the whole raiding thing is still pretty new on youtube. What's more is that not all the hololive members have had it. And what's even MORE is that holomems tend to be shy about this sort of thing and may be hesitant to do it for the same reason Vesper was hesitant to do it... though Vesper kind of pushed through the hesitance as you can see.

I think Kiara was once raided by someone not Hololive.
It also is a two way system that both have to opt in first, to be able to have the option to raid in the first place.
Setting up redirect is pretty confusing in youtube and not many times work and people still don't know how to do it.
TH-cam need to make it simple and better.

I’m so glad they’re embracing the raid thing. It’s one thing I love from twitch and it always felt strange and disconnected when hololive used to not like to raid or “bother” other holomems
It's because it's a very Japanese thing to not want to bother others, and I guess even EN and ID get influenced by it being a Japanese company

Raids are one of my least favorite Twitch things. When I'm done watching a stream, then I want to decide what I do next. Not get shuffled off to someone random. If I wanted to watch whoever gets raided, I would have searched them up myself after the stream. That said, it's not that hard to just close the window after a raid happens. So I try not bitch too much even though it annoys me

For context, grandpa decide to raid after showing end card (plus a little mic problem lol). It turns out the greatest raid, where 2000 vesties and 500 zomrades witness their wholesome interaction. Especially when Ollie whet all out to praise and support Tempus bois. In the end, many new vesties and zomrades are born. Maybe the true raid is the friendship all along...

It's good that in these last few months, the long standing tradition of Holostars and HoloID being good friends has continued even into HolostarsEN. Honestly I knew I could trust Ollie, since she picked up the torch from Iofi and Risu. But I actually didn't realize Kobo would come in so clutch in carrying that on for Gen 3. Kinda would love for a official song cover from Kobo & Regis, not gonna lie.

Raids on youtube are limited to begin with. It works on a whitelist system, which is probably done to avoid bots abusing system. Not sure if this is up to management or the talent. But i’d imagine whitelisting 40+ talents to be bothersome and might be why it isn’t used too often.
