    Just add butter to the sides of pan or little bit of oil to syrup and it wont boil over

      @@jonathandoelander6130 I don't know the answer to that question, Jonathan because I always used it as a dry sweetener. Sounds plausible, though. Perhaps you could give it a try and let me know. 😊 I'd appreciate it.

    • @jonathandoelander6130
      @jonathandoelander6130 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bertajay Yes, well I would definitely use it as a dry sweetener too. But I have noticed that maple syrup does not store well over long periods. My thought was to use your method of dehydrating and crystalizing in order to be able to store it for a longer period. I'm thinking more like for an emergency supply. I will give it a try and let you know how it turns out!

    • @jonathandoelander6130
      @jonathandoelander6130 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bertajay OK, I tried it and it worked! First I made the maple sugar, as you demonstrated. And to rehydrate into syrup, I just reversed the process, adding the maple crystals into water. Bringing it to a boil and adding the sugar slowly. The thickness of the final product depends on how much water you use. But yes, it works!

    How cool is this. What is so bad about regular sugar. Love your videos Thanks

    • @bertajay
      @bertajay  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry this took so long to respond; but, the main thing about white sugar is that it spikes your blood sugar and then there's a big drop. It's why children will get so hyper and then tired after a while after eating sugary foods. White sugar puts me to sleep about 20-30 minutes after I eat them. I had to find something else. Also, white sugar is high on the glycemic index scale.
      I hope that helps you understand a little better. Thanks for your question, Leona. 🥰
      And again, so sorry about taking so long to respond. 😔

    • @daphneraven6745
      @daphneraven6745 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can also trigger a lot of inflammation in your body with the white sugar.
      And if you have been struggling with your health and your immune system, you can also really spike population growth of microbes, outside of- and in direct competition with- your microbiome.
      If there’s a familial history of certain health conditions, such as anklosing spondylitis, it can really exacerbate the extreme pain and progression of the illness.
      Certain cancers can really be fuelled by sugar as well.
      there’s a whole more, but I think the answers in the post responding to your question so far are probably a good start.

I've never tried this. But have seen on utube channels done. Thought this might help you along at maybe a easier process instead of having to use a Manuel juicer. I love your channel. 😊Tamson.
