Thanks Jimmy, that was very helpful - I wish I lived in Ireland so that I could easily bring the car to you! I'm a retired motorcycle racer - so I can manage most mechanical jobs but struggle with latest technology! My Peugeot 308SW HDi has Urea warning light flashing, I used an App on my phone which gave code P20 E8. I've ordered a new tank (£795 from Neo Bros). Apparently the old filler cap has a vent issue which creates a vacuum in the tank (I imagine on longer runs), this strains the pump which over time gives up the ghost. My mobile phone App won't be able to log the tank replacement - I wonder if it'll be OK to drive to a local garage to get reset? The ducks were an amusing intermission - especially when you gave them your lunch! You have a great job and I'm thankful that you sacrifice some of your valuable time to help others with these videos. Bye, Alex Bedford
You can try to fix it first of all with a product and usually works fine. Do not waste your money changing it. I did mine y problem dissapear. You need a cristal clean product, clean adblue inyector too.
This time you didn't reset the Adblue before looking at the pressure, all the warning lights were on, most likely made 0 difference to the diagnosis because the tank was faulty anyways, but technically incorrectly done. Also the test tells you nothing, many times the tank is working in my hands after clearing the codes and reinitializing it but produces the fault as soon as the customer has it, can't really trust it sadly. We don't recommend used tanks at the dealer I work at simply because we can't guarantee a lasting repair for the customer with used parts, but considering the extreme price difference it can be a worthwhile endevour anyways because of the fact that you can get it fixed and sell the car or replace a couple used tanks before getting to the price of a new one. Sucks but it is what it is.
@@everythingbutkoi6898 I wish I knew. We only know it's something internal, this can be faulty pump, pressure sensor, temperature sensor, leaking in the split in the tank, could be clogged pump strainer, could be clogged lines, could be ECU board faults. We can't really find out because when opened up it all looks fine and all tests and seems fine, there is something more to it which no one really has managed to figure out, we can get them working with "swapatronics" by just swapping from one tank to another if we have a known good component but it doesn't really get us anywhere in-terms of knowledge. I'd love to know.
Could you give me some advice please, have same problem replaced whole unit( apart from tank) still low adblue pressure...tested with 2 units :( what could be the problem?
I have a c4 Picasso b78 2016. I have just noticed I am getting white smoke coming out of the back smelling of UREA. Checked my OBD its saying I have P20F6 DeNOx system circuit - leak detection and P2A00 NOx sensor - Richness measurement faulty. I hope I don't have to replace the tank.
Trust me if I used the D1 as a main tool I would also need to switch tools a lot. Some tools are great on some brands but always have an issue here or there
Thank you for this great work. My car has a similar problem. It shows Engine Fault: Stop Vehicle. This started after the mechanic changed the engine oil. How can you help?
@@ORileysAutos Fyi. If your'e interested. I tried my old Launch thats not updated for a couple of years. It asked which ecu is installed something like" edc17" or "cmd11” dont remember exactly but choosing the right one made it work. The new Launch thats updated automatically chooses for you but chose the wrong one. Also the fuse for the nox sensor was blown because of a leaking AdBlue injector. 🥴
Hi Everyone, yesterday I've got message on Display " emission control fault" and UREA diode , in Poland we have a " FAP fluid kit" for self-service use. it is a safety ? Is it safe for DIY ? Regards Lukasz,
The people that come up with these things which reduce emissions should be putting more pressure on the industry to make these things last. 1500 quid a pop to replace the tank is not sustainable.
Thanks to you Jimmy, I carried out this job myself, and all your instruction was helful and perfect.
Glad it helped
@@ORileysAutos Do I need to tell the engine the adblue tank has been changed ? if so is it the one in the NOX or Emissions menu on a peugoet ?

I'm in Biggleswade Uk
Just changing tank Jimmy. I live up near Glasgow so was too far to bring to you. Thanks again for excellent video. Bye, Alex
@@ORileysAutosDo your next video with an Italian accent, that'll confuse him. 😂🎉
Hi.
You need to have the key in the reader slot by the OBD port, otherwise most scan tool processes will fail like in the video.

Great video, dont get me started on launch though, their diagnostic tools give me a headache
Enjoying your videos. Are there any separate parts available for the tank internals or is it just sold as a unit?
Just sold as a complete tank
Jimmy how do you go about removing ash from the dpf?
Great man Great work thanks
Cheers
Whats best code reader to reser pump for a home mechanic?
Do you have to manually prime the pump somehow first ?
Thanks
thanks for sharing lad 👍👍👍👍
No problem 👍

I already tested the vehicle before today 👍🏻
What is the fault with the tanks. Why replace a tank?

@@lukasziiii I needed a new ad blue injector as it was stuck open.
@OrileysAutos can I send my previous urea tank (motherboard only) to you for a (paid) diagnostic ? isn't there someone who will try to fix those ?
Very helpful, thank you.
You're welcome!
Is it posible to remove the whole system or deactivate it.
36000 miles having to replace the adblue tank... Car manufacturers are Passing the buck to the customers I say
2016 car so time also has a factor
Manufacturers seem to be letting the customers do the product testing.
Hay mate I do have same exact problem, how much cost do you charge!!
I got to say I do like launch but the D1 gets you out of trouble don’t it . Ps can you explain in more detail on the resets please . Regards

A major fault that Peugeot know about still ripping the customers off the system is flawed yet they do nothing about it
How to solve p21c5
adblue is a faking joke love every time i map it out
For now, DVSA are currently working on MOT tests to detect the if it’s been deleted or not, if they manage then there will be allot of cars to fix
@@daveawhittlewill never happen
Do you have a company recommendation to map it out, as I've heard that some inexperienced firms can cause more trouble than is solved.

😮Launch won't reset Adblue, but Otofix will, I can't believe it.
It's done resets on these cars before so not sure what the issue was there
❤🎉😊
👍🏻
Not the best advert for Launch. Least you are truthfull about it which shoud make them update software
Unbelievable really they still have this problem after all the years it's been known, Shameful.
I see dozens every week from Peugeot & Citroen
They are really scumbags. I have the same problem. PSA never more.
Launches coverage of PSA stuff isn’t brilliant, they need to up their game a bit.
I'll forward the feedback
Biden syndrome.......🤣🤣🤣🤣 nailed it..
why do these tanks go wrong
Fluid ingress into the electrics
36000 miles😂😂😂
french cars are terrible they just say £1100 like saying £60
Ad blue another great way to make money for the manufacture.
