I thought so too until i realized they only have the machines picking on the right side, so literally go row by row while the left side contains the harvested cabbages.
More unemployed people, more hunger. Why do politicians say they will create employment when tech companies are coming up with ways to reduce employment?

You answered your own question. We need people to engineer, manufacture, and maintain/repair this kind of equipment, which is full of mechanical/electric components. There’s so much new technology, it’s better to have an educated society that can make life easier for everyone. Plus, all this technology keeps the cost of products and services much lower, because if you had to pay people high wages to do manually unskilled labor, it would cost you significantly more. Look at how much the price of fast food is now compared to before $15 minimum wage, as the food has tripled in cost, while wages did not keep up . I can now got to a restaurant like Applebees or chilis and get a comparable meal as fast food for the same price, except the food is significantly better. Restaurants don’t have to abide by $15 min wage, as servers rely on tips, so restaurants don’t need to double or triple their costs.
Who do you think built and designed the equipment? Bet it took more than 15 people to bring that machine from an idea to the field. There is also cost, it’s cheaper to run this than pay for 15 people. Of course, this doesn’t mean the savings is passed down to the consumer.
Well, you should do your part and head on out to the cabbage field and start picking. What? You don’t want to be hunched over all day picking cabbages? Exactly.
Maĝaza soymaya Ne gerek varki Almanya Gidin iltica edin . Ömür boyu calismadan sizin herseyinizi veriyor yasamak için. Yasasin Almanya. Kommt Nach Germany 😂😂😂😂😂
Machines can only harvest. It cannot sow and grow itself. And this machine cannot be used in hilly terrains where these cabbages are mostly grown. AI will reduce jobs. But cannot abolish jobs.
40 years ago listen to an interview on TV “machinery was invented to make more profit was the main driven force, if helping human saving its sweat was secondary benefit”
The goal is to replace low skilled workers that are demanding too much money. Min wage is now $15 per hour in many states, and we can see at the register who really pays for those increases. So, Walmart employees get paid more, which means they no longer qualify for public assistance and they pay more in taxes, while the employer need to increase the cost of goods and services so it can pay its employees more, hurting skilled laborers that are trying to make ends meets, and it stretches people thin that took the time to attain skills that got them higher paying positions. The machines keep the labor costs lower so that the average person can afford necessities.
I remember my school helped farmers to collect cabbages and carrots beetroot in Lithuanian in 1990 and we have lost of fun , fresh air lovely food in the fields and company of 90 friends from the same school, sadly young generation lives in the Telephone and don’t know how to communicate with each other, and another good thing farmer will supply vegetables to the school all year around
Is that meant to be cause for celebration? I'm pretty sure that those cabbages don't sell for any less than the ones that were harvested by those 15 unemployed workers.
Planing, if you are going to use such a machine in the field, in order to maximum your profit, plan for the width of the harvester going into the field to avoid wastage. That harvester is gonna make you lose money. That field is so densely populated with cabbages,50% of the cabbages is considered as fodder for the animals on the farm.
Then that = 15 people freed to pursue THEIR talents on this Earth! We all have contributed and their is plenty more to find and DISCOVER ! Humanity is leaving a very carnate driven Earth, and into a spiritual POSITIVE Vibration Dominant Earth!
They have been planning this for years. Robots and machines are the future of farming. They will have minimal staff to operate machinery and to fix them. Same with the robots. No health care nodays off. Machines/ robots can run 24 hours a day no days off.
Just honestly curious, if actual people were picking this would there be just as much of those excess leaves left behind? And what gets done with all the excess leaves?
It's going to be more expensive to keep this running this equipment than paying 15 people with more quality work 🙄 🤦🏼 I'm hoping this is in Europe somewhere
Yah but worked those jobs and no second picking. It's cool but they go over a field several times which you can't do with this. Not all produce grows at the same rate so could lead to waste. I used to stack the trucks to stay in shape for football in high school. Went to DeVry after high school so could be the guy who keeps the machine running for $$$$$$$. Good and bad I guess.
But is it really helping? If the laborers earn an hourly rate but let’s be honest, though it SHOULD be a highly paid job, it isn’t. But now expensive engineers are needed to operate & fix these machines. Was there any true savings? Perhaps it may seem so since 15 workers are no longer needed in the short term but in the long term? Let’s say that 2 out of the 15 were sent to be trained, well that’s only 2 but usually hardly ever the case, someone else with the immediate knowledge is usually always hired. Time will tell I guess.
It looks like those wide tires are running over twice as many cabbages as its picking up.
No, the tires are running over the already picked plants.
I thought so too until i realized they only have the machines picking on the right side, so literally go row by row while the left side contains the harvested cabbages.
Still a lot being wasted
When quantity beats quality

Is not like Americans would want to work the fields. 😂😂😂

Keeps 5 Expensive Techs busy
Meanwhile, 15 people are shop lifting trying to get food for their families.
That is not why so many entiled people are shoplifing.
Those 15 people arent gonna pick crops
I love shoplifting

If you’re poor, don’t have kids.
That’s incredible. These harvesters are so cool to watch. It’s like a little factory moving around on a field.
If you like that, watch the floating factories that are able to catch and can 🥫 fish in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!
@@mikkayosef8008 yeah those are cool too. I love automatic production lines in general. The engineering is so customized and elaborate.

Cabbages grow on perfectly flat ground in the California central valley...acres and acres of Cabbages as far as the eye can see
This isn’t AI. AI has the capability of learning. Right now AI is helping people by making their job easier.
This isnt ai 😭
Congratulations 🎉
Thank you farmers for all your hard work
Вот это ТЕХНИКА. Браво.❤
This machine is a work of art It's amazing how it leaves the cabbage unscathed almost clean with no shell to worry about
Nothing like getting rid of jobs
If all jobs remained, we wouldn’t have people for new jobs that popped up. Besides, the food is much more affordable this way.

Please here you have my scythe. Now go harvest my grain.
It keeps immigrants from pooping in the feilds

Ingenious, so so Clever.

I wonder who appropriated the 15 workers wages.
That’s great you are sharing agricultural machinery
That is amazing union buster! Food will remain affordable!!!
also makes 15 people under employee or un employee 😢

Good machines make work easy
I saw a machine cleaning Walmart floors today. They stuck a teddy bear in the driver's seat.
Remember that when your kids can’t find work.
Do these heavy jumbo machines compact the soil over a period of time, affecting water percolation and ground water recharging .?
All that Cabbage equals to Farts equals Global Warming 🤭💨
Надо бы спереди у колеса приделать отворот такой, чтобы не давил капусту
That is one heck of a machine❤❤❤❤

little choice when you can’t get sufficient reliable workers…..
From the looks of it this machine might've eliminated a few more. Check your lettuce!
That's cabbage
Спасибо вам кормильцам огромное. 👍

They already have...😢
I don't want to even imagine the mess this world will be in 50 years from now....thanks to AI...😮
Yummy yummy cabbage
And somehow the cabbages will still cost more.

Молодцы ребята 👍, так держать ✌
Let it replace 15 people, dont be too smart by not paying those 15 people their salaries, else you ll have 15 cabbage unsold
