yeah I had all the gear on me to do so I just wasn't sure about leaving Jackson in control of the big boat while I was in the water. big boats with fly by wire can be quite difficult to handle at first

I found some new ground in 30m which generally has a lot more live coral and bombies so we ended up getting dusted a lot more. I actually really enjoyed the 30m challenge so im going back there soon to try find a bit more ground

Are what you call china's and cod not good to eat? In south Florida we don't have anything that looks like a China, but what you call a cod looks like a Goliath grouper (which are a protected species) and it looks similar to what we call a gag grouper. Both are delicious ...but you seem to throw them both back all the time?? Just curious. The fish that you seem to keep alot of ( nannies? Spanglies? and reds?) look alot like what we call snapper ( mutton, red and mangrove snapper) which are all delicious too! Anyway, love your channel and your awesome way of life ...cheers mate!
Hey mate. Chinas have ciguatera toxins so can't be eaten and yeah your spot on with the cod they look very similar. ours aunt protected but nannys, reds and trout are much better eating and much easier to deal with our nannies are very similar to your snapper and Ive started seeing quite a very being caught on nomad vibes swell which it cool

I use the hat mount they give you when you buy a head mount but I think you can also buy them separately

Why use those overhead reels if they burn your fingers? Why not just use spinning reels only? The spinning reels with their drag seem much better.
we actually have a lot more control with overheads. because we fish overheads so often I run a medium drag and use my thumb when needed so I don't cook the drag too quickly. its rare that a fish will burn your thumb but its always a good laugh when they do

@PelagicPursuit89 i did mean beautiful/pretty. I assumed the light 17 pounds of drag on this saltiga was why the fish were getting away. Compared to the near 29 pounds of drag on the lexa, near the same line capacity & much lighter. All these specs have me confused lol. I did buy a lexa tw 300 & a certate sw 6k because of your vids tho. Your vids are sick man, thank you for them!

im going to do a video on comparison soon. I absolutely love the new saltiga but I strongly believe if you're starting off jigging the Lexa is definitely a better option and we've all seen it can handle a bit
