Beautiful reef and some good catches love the open water fishing I have fished with a spool and this is what I do, I fill it with line so that if the spool ever falls in the water or the floor of the boat its just letting line out if you run out of line you loose the spool. I can cast it out easily over 60yards what I do is I spin the line besides me in a circular motion (clockwise) creating a circular motion close to as much as I am high (any more than that your line will hit the ground) so I'm creating that circular motion to my side (besides me) and rotating it faily hard then I release in an underhand motion like an underhand pitch

Need some finger stalls. Just a bit of bike inner tube cut to index finger length. Grip and finger cutting protection. We hand line 20 kg king fish using them.

None yet, for me at least, has bested that top water tuna video with Brooksy , where the hooks came off and the fish still went mental and that legendary rocket into the sunset hit ! Try deep sea fishing, like 300m, like do you have ruby snapper around Queensland? Try unique species like hairtail, Amberjacks, anything from the depth
Handlining seems fun but what about when a shark hits while its wrapped around your knuckles and slices your hand clean in two??..still would love to try it..
