I have a suggestion for improving Viewfinder in the future: Currently, when you are reframing, your thumb covers up the time code. You can't see the time code because it sits right underneath the record button that you have to hold down. And your thumb covers it up. I often need to see the time code as I'm reframing to know when to pause or stop or change the view. My suggestion would be to place the time code somewhere else on the screen so it is always visible when you are reframing.
Insta please fix below issues : Best quality and best reframe controls you can do is from studio app However : 1) You can't jump cut in the studio app 2) You can't combine 2 clips in studio app. 3) You can't add music and sync video to music in studio app. I know you can do them in mobile app. However 1) You can't reposition keyframes in mobile app 2) You can't export best quality in mobile app 3) There are many technical issues when you edit multiple clips 4) You can't rotate the frame 360 degree in snap function 5) You can't control field of view in snap function. There is a better way to do everything for all and it is gopro fx frame plugin with premier pro. But this time: 1) Premier pro crashes everytime even you create proxies 2) you can't control field of view as easy as insta studio 3) You can't get better export quality like studio app. I have to use all of them depending on the sitiuation. But it takes hours and days.
Fun video but how do you reframe 360 degree video without turning it into 2D flat video? I want to reframe 360 degree shot with my Insta 360 X4 for VR, preserving the immersive experience.
is it possible to do the reframing in real time? use case recording an ultimate frisbee match. the X4 would be on a 4 tripod and someone on the ground would use their phone to reframe in real-time while recording the entire field for potential later edits. and then ideally I can live-stream this!
There IS landscape editing using the app. He just didn't show that in this tutorial. Before you begin reframing with Viewfinder or Snap, you just change the aspect ratio of the video to 16x9 or whatever you want. You do that first. The app defaults to portrait orientation when it first loads the video. You can then change it to landscape by selecting the aspect ratio you want. THEN when you start reframing, the video will play in landscape orientation.
Viewfinder mode does not allow you to rotate the screen by tilting the image horizon, on the Poco F5 Android smartphone. Video editing is limited. I can give the image 360 degrees, go up and down, but tilting the smartphone to the left or right does not tilt the horizon of the image. On the iPhone 8 it is possible. If Snap is not available for you, it means that your smartphone is not powerful enough to run Snap. Snap requires a recent smartphone model with very high specs in order to run. If your phone isn't powerful enough, you will only be able to use Viewfinder. The only way to get Snap is to upgrade your phone unfortunately.
Thanks for the quick instructional video. My critique would be that you are a bit TOO fast in your presentation. American English is my first language, and without captions, I couldn't understand key parts of your presentation. I'd much rather watch 5 minutes of relaxed, enunciated verbage than try to decode 4 minutes of rushed speech. Relax and take your time.

Great!! But 2 things: 1st why no landscape editing in the app?? 2nd why no labshots in the pc software?
There IS landscape editing using the app. He just didn't show that in this tutorial. Before you begin reframing with Viewfinder or Snap, you just change the aspect ratio of the video to 16x9 or whatever you want.
