In his book “The Man Who Would be Queen”, he goes in great detail about the fetishization of straight men in gay communities and the nature of feminitity and masculinity as it relates to sexual attraction. If memory serves me correctly, the pressure to “not be gay” wasn’t much of a factor at all in the HSTS phenomena according to Blanchard.
