Hi Steph! I had just ordered the screen tops off Amazon a few days ago and now I’m going to get the rack. I didn’t realize that the black cover is necessary so I’m getting the kit. I ordered alfalfa seeds too to make sprouts for me to eat. I was sick last two months and my gut biome gat all messed up with medications so this is part of my return to health. Thank you for sharing!
A few years ago i learned that sprouted golden oat (no chemicals) seeds have the growing strength of 1000 times of a new born babies cells. Chewing it until it becomes like a wad of gum gives you healing strength and it works really well for gut and immune health as well as healing pain in the body. This is very interesting video on use for chickens. They will be the healthiest chickens in north america lol
Good Morning Stephanie and Elora 💜 I enjoyed watching your sprout making. I never realized how easy it was. And I can't believe how big the chick's are getting. Hello to Conner and Buddy as well. God Bless 💜
Norma here. I’ve never thought of sprouting lentils. I usually just make lentil soup. I don’t have chickens, but would love to try the sprouts in a salad, or even as a snack. The process looks easy enough. and it’s great that your teaching Elora. Conner looks so cute with his hair longer and his new shoes are great. Kim is such a sweet giving grandma.
Stephanie,What a great idea! I do eat bean sprouts on my salad but I will let a friend of mine know about making feed. I always enjoy your advice about different things.
Stephanie wow I never done this for my chickens. You have such good ideas. Love running in to see what you have for us today. It was a family project what fun. Thank you .i
This is so cool. Sprouting the lenses was easy as can be and such a healthy choice for humans and chickens. They looked like they were enjoying there sprouts . You have some great help from Elora. She so interested 😍. She's learning alot of neat things you can do in the kicked. Not just with lentils but she will be learning everything you do with your bees wax, honey, gardening etc. I'm loving it. ❤
What a great idea! I love how your and Elora’s video ended up with almost the whole family and the cat’s video! 😃 it’s so great you all interact with each other
I loved working with children when mine were young and sometimes it was easy to loose concentration with every one talking at one time 😂 You did a great job! I wish more parents had time to teach their kids, hands on is so special.
Absolutely love watching your videos when you all get involved can never tell what may happen ! Including the cat getting involved 😂❤You have the cutest kids ! The little fluffy butts have really grown!
It's good that you are making sure the chickens have the best diet possible! They are getting so big! And it was nice that you included the kids in making the sprouts. 💖💖💖
Elora and Conner look like their mommy. It is great that you do so many natural things for your family and animals. I enjoy watching you teach us how to do special things to help us.

Great video I hope you’ll do more videos like this , it’s so interesting how just a simple change can be so beneficial to our diets !! Thanks Steph and Elora !! Your chicks are growing so fast !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻
This is the first time I've ever watched a single "family" video on TH-cam and actually thought "Now THIS is a real family." Beautiful to see, and on behalf of my wife and her 6 lil ladies, thanks so much for this wonderfully informative video!
I used screen door screen (1.59 for a sheet at the hardware store) and cut it into small circles the size of my jar mouths. Then just screw on the jar rings (I can so I had them already). Hope that helps someone else.
This is very helpful for me. I have chronic kidney disease due to kidny cancer, and have been told not to eat red meat. I have to get my protein from plants. But there is not much guidance beyond that. Sprouted lentils sounds promising to me. Thank you for sharing this information! 💖
Elora is such a beautiful young lady! I just love her. Stephanie I realy enjoy youre channel. Always something new to make and I will be doing this for my chickens. I have made the bread recipes and also the peanut butter and will be trying all the other ones. You make it look easy and inspire me to try different things.
Hi Stef & co ❤ You know there is a killer stew made from lintels , heck being from the Nothern part of Germany we ate stew, stew, stew and lintel stew was and still is one of my favorite. I make some for the chickens once they old enough to eat them once they hatched. 🐣🐣🐣
Stephanie your plethora of knowledge never fails to impress and amaze! Y’all’s family is so adorable! Elora was so cute when she said “They’re eating it!” She seemed amazed! If you ever come out west for a vacation again you should really check out the Palouse. It is a gorgeous place, has several different camping areas, and there’s even a B&B where your “room” is a large commercial style tent guides use in hunting camps. I believe they also still have authentic teepees. Plus the best fishing ever! God bless you all and keep you safe ❤️🙏
One of the family I babysit for the grandma makes lentil soup and is so good. I wonder if the wild birds would like Lentil sprouts? I’m always finding new ways to feed my hungry wild birds. This is cool. My dad also loves sprouts.
Connor is getting so tall. Elora is such a cutie, she is so your mini me. Making your own chicken feed, how cool. Geez the chicken's are getting so big.
This is so neat to watch. Why do you rinse daily…..to moisten? I love how everyone is interested in the process. There goes one little brave chick…..”hey, y’all! These are good! Come, try them”. I never knew the health benefit of sprouts…thanks for this good info 😊
I have the beluga lentils from that farm. I sprout them regularly and they are delicious! And if you combine beans with the lentils the separate aminos of each item combine to form a complete protein! ❤
I love your family videos! The younger kids get involved and Buddy, well, he is too funny!! I am a vegetarian and eat a lot of lentils! Especially in soup!
I really liked this video🥰the little chickens looked so happy eating them lol it’s nice to see that you care about what your chickens are eating, manufactured chicken feed no matter what brand shouldn’t be trust! 💕✝️🙋🏻♀️
Them dad reflexes are great to have around at all times. My grandson calls me bro. Then jar lids would be great for putting bean dust on your garden if needed.

I love the Lester man of course, he'll always be first with me, and I have no idea why I think of rating y'all lol just a thought while I'm chatting I guess. I'm seriously looking forward to more and more video's by you and the family xoxo Nancy Oh P.S. I've even mentioned to the son, that I'd like to get some chickens one day, and he's even entertaining the idea of it. xoxo Nancy
Would like to hear your story about where, when and what sparked your interest in the things that you have shared on your videos. As a young girl, did your family do those things? Or was it after you were married or somewhere in between? I'm amazed at all the wonderful things that you are doing. Same question for Buddy but maybe guessing lots of influence from Morrow Hill men. Enjoy your videos ☺️
Thanks so much for this video. I just bought Lentils for my chickens and had no idea what to do next lol. l saw someone the other day (hope it wasn't you lol) make little screens like that from a dollar store grease splatter guard just trace the shape and cut out
On Day 4 & 3, you put them back on opposite sides of where had prior days ... which is why what you think is the 2nd batch has sprouted so much ... also, you fed the 2nd batch to Chick's before the 1st one
Hi Steph have you tried making water keifer? It's similar to kombucha but doesn't contain caffeine, I think you would enjoy making it and it's super good for you.
Well that was easy !!! I’ll try it for my chickens and myself ! Can chickens have those everyday or is it just a treat now and then ? Loved your helpers 😂😂😂
