The Denman Homestead I’m live in Topeka Kansas and we received .24 of ice and 14 inches of snow. With Wind at 45 miles per hour. So we had in places 3 foot drifts. Then all roads were shut down from the Nebraska border down to Wichita Kansas.and out to the Colorado to Missouri. Even emergency vehicles could not get through. They had a Code Red which is (immediate life threat.) The Ambulance could not get to the house, they got the ambulance stuck and they called from a plow truck and then it got stuck. I never heard the outcome. But they told everyone to stay off the Roads. Where you seen the dark purple they received 17.5 inches of snow. It was and still is because now we are getting the frigid temps it is supposed to be -6 tonight which is Monday the 6th. Hope you don’t get this bad weather down there.
I know people around you dislike fireworks because of animals and rightly so but your beginning of this was beautiful, really enjoy you showing your affection for each other, in a good way!! You guys are so fun. Glad you are thinking of more travel, there is a cool world out there. Sure hope Costca continues to heal, strange what may have happened. You should put a crown on her head for what it cost!! Again, here's to a way better New Year for you!! Resolutions put way too much pressure on people, just do what feels right and good ! Carry on you beautiful people!!
You speak of purging and donating your clothing this year, and I believe this is wonderful. I am a Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary member, and I do clothing drives in the Dallas area at least 2 times a year. You might want to check with the VA Resource Center in Houston about donating to them. The homeless rate for veterans is outstanding, and these people really need help more than ever.
Steph and Buddy that is a generational thing. I’m 73. My kids I’m sure think I’m a hoarder. It’s because of the times. We have been through times when if we needed something and the only way we could afford to repair or build something was to go through our storage or garage and find something to work. You couldn’t just go out and buy it. Where it’s post war and the lack of domestic goods because we went through a time we had to make do or build yourself. Chewing gum wrappers were saved, rolled into balls and turned into gov to use by the military. We are now in a disposable time. Not using something throw it a way it if it is broke just buy a new one instead of repairing. Generation vrs generation. To my generation it’s save it we’ll use it later. Newer does not mean better.
I totally agree Ms Mamafet 💞 my precious daddy was a WWII war vet and my happiest moments were working in the barn making things out of scratch with my daddy 💖 once a daddy’s girl, always a daddy’s girl 🥰 R.I.P. daddy 😇 I also believe we came from a very STRONG generation! Much love to you sweetheart 💗

I’m in California in Los Angeles Beach area, but I’d love to go see the redwoods too and they’re not that far away but I just can’t get away from the house. Long Beach is a long drive from San Diego to Northern California even for us.
Hello Buddy and Stephine. It is good getting the kids to do their own laundry. It will be good for them. They should also go through the clothes to see if they are too small and give them to the needy. God Bless. Love you all. ❤️ 💙
I quit doing my son’s laundry when he was 10 yo. I found I was washing clothes that were clean because he didn’t want to put away his clothes. Best thing I ever did.
our good thing is the DETROIT LIONS WON again yeah go team Lions!!! My hubby has waited all his life to see the Lions get where they are today! And he's 69 yrs old.
If I told my son (at 9) to clean his room, he would just pick up all his clothes from the floor etc and throw into the laundry. So, I taught him how to do his own laundry and he was totally responsible for his own.
‼️🌜Good evening Stephanie and Buddy great live. Thank you for sharing all the different types of views throughout your life and adventures, traveling is one of our favorites when we come along on your videoing. Take good care and warm regards to the rest of the family. 😊‼️
My kids started doing their own laundry before they started kindergarten. I was a graduate student with a job and two kids, and a single parent. ANYONE can learn to do laundry. When my son went to Southern Methodist University (on scholarship), he was one of the few kids there who knew how to do laundry, how to sew on a button, how to cook. That is a very expensive university, and my son could not believe how kids could be in college, and not know how to take care of themselves. He ended up tutoring his dorm on Adulting 101. He was highly admired for his skills that he learned by necessity as a child. Please consider teaching them to do their own laundry and never touching their dirty clothes again. You would all come out ahead, believe me. PS My two kids earned 5 college degrees.
I love Washington State. I've lived here for 71 years and cant imagine living anywhere else. I live in the Pacific Northwest. 60 miles to Canada and 60 miles to Seattle and close to skiing and really close to ocean, bays, lots of water.
Absolutely agree! My daughter wore my clothes that I kept from high school from the early 70’s and then my granddaughter started wearing them….good thing everything comes back in style at one point of another. lol
Sorry if my previous post was a little negative. You guys are awesome and amaze me in the things you do. Table is AWESOME . Your soap and Etsy items are awesome. But each generation has their own habits according to what they have lived through.
I share Steve's disdain for laundry. I've tried to teach my 24 & 25 year old sons (husband/Dad does only his own personal laundry) to do laundry. They will only do "emergency" laundry (underwear). I started throwing away any family (mine too) trashed laundry. It feels great. I almost want to throw all the laundry away and start fresh with minimal clothing. More than almost.
Fun fact- I unscrewed the lint trap in my dryer to deep clean the lint. And I pulled out maybe 7 socks that somehow found their way through a tiny space around the filter to end up in the bottom of my dryer floor. Was able to match them up and they're back in rotation.
Please visit my beautiful California. We have beautiful spaces. Mammoth Mountain, the Sequoia's, Coastal Redwoods, and our Beaches are second to none. The surfing beaches! Trailer/tent camp at Leo Carillo State beach, Refugio State Beach, San Simeon where you can see elephant seals from December to March, and Avila Beach, Los Osos, Pismo Beaches. Our caverns in the deserts. Tiny Mitichal Caverns and our wandering Sand Dunes. Lakes, mountain, desert, beaches, rivers all up and down our State. Welcome to California!
If you are going to California cup up to the Oregon Coast. We have beautiful beaches lots of campgrounds. Crater Lakes is the most beautiful place. Mount St Helens Is also great.
The beaches are amazing in California. From Santa Barbara south to San Diego, beaches are beautiful but very different from the beautiful beaches in Central CA north to Oregon.
I think that the fireworks are very beautiful but as a dog owner, I don’t like them they scare my dog and because of fireworks poor little Sadie has been lost and Lester and Jami are trying so hard to find her. They’re beautiful, but they’re also dangerous for little Sadie.😢
Omg the sock thing is so real. I wrote in black marker DAD on the bottoms of my husbands socks. When my husband caught the boys wearing his socks they came back with the reply “ doesn’t DAD stand for Dennis and David” 🤔hmmm no winning. 😂
My daughter started folding her own clothes at 7 years old. I would put her clean clothes on her bed. By 12, she was helping with laundry when I was busy with something else.
Sox omg, I just wear what ever I can find, it’s frustrating. I bought my husband 13 pair of dox, I can only find 1 pair what the heck happens to six, is it the dox monster 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Every year i have a purge, throw out all broken stuff, and too small clothes, and the rule for me if i haven't used it in 2 years donate it or chuck it out, apart from things that are memories😊😊
My son has been doing his laundry since he was 8 because of that very reason!!!! I was done with it so I taught him how to do his own he’s now 17 and still does it, I’ll do it here and there if he is busy in sports but other then that it’s on him
First thing, go through the closets and purge. I taught my son to do his own laundry and iron his cotton dress shirts. My brother came to live with me at age 33. The first time he did laundry he washed everything in one load. And wondered why his white tshirts , underwear and socks were light blue. Could it be the jeans you washed with them? My mom taught him nothing.
I’m the worst for throwing away things. Grew up very poor so always think I’ll find a use for it. Now my children come to me when they need something cause they know I probably do. SOMEWHERE!!??!!
I was up a good portion of the night with my big girl Boxers. They are rescue girls and it doesn’t take much. One is doing well. The other not as well. They were over bred and not treated well.
It sounds like the cat may have gotten into a fight a while ago, gotten bitten on the leg. got an infection. the puss built up inside of the leg and then exploded, splitting open the leg and causing the "filleting"
I’m the worst for throwing away things. Grew up very poor so always think I’ll find a use for it. Now my children come to me when they need something cause they know I probably have it. SOMEWHERE!!??!! Hate donating here cause it doesn’t benefit anyone. They just sell them for profit. Even Salvation Army. You should see what they throw away and the workers get first pick on nice clothes.
laundry is so easy I work with clothes eight hours a day, a full clothes all day long at work so dawn laundry is so easy for me folding my laundry clothes text me two minutes cause I deal with clothes every day.
I love Washington State. I've lived here for 71 years and cant imagine living anywhere else. I live in the Pacific Northwest. 60 miles to Canada and 60 miles to Seattle and close to skiing and really close to ocean, bays, lots of water.

Much love and healing energy to you and your family! 💞🙏🏻💞

Stephanie, your hair! It looks good on you. ❤❤❤
Loved the fireworks. Hard on the babies. ❤️♥️🥰❤️♥️
Lol Buddy I have 3 granddaughters. I bought socks and wrote Nana on them. It only took a week for them all to be gone.

I did that too!!!! He would throw them on the floor and tell me he wore them…. He didn’t, I’d had it and had him start doing his own
I loved spending time with my family for Christmas and my birthday. It was so special. 😊
our good thing is the DETROIT LIONS WON again yeah go team Lions!!! My hubby has waited all his life to see the Lions get where they are today! And he's 69 yrs old.
Stephanie, "Moderation in all things, including moderation." ........one of my professors gave that as the best advice of my 80 years of living.
Beautiful silent fireworks!
If I told my son (at 9) to clean his room, he would just pick up all his clothes from the floor etc and throw into the laundry. So, I taught him how to do his own laundry and he was totally responsible for his own.
I did the same
I was blessed. My ex husband liked doing laundry. He helped when our kids were little. When I quit work I did them all the time.

Tarantulas cause heart attacks. I know, because I would have one if I had a tarantula crawling on me!
Me, too!! Eeeek! Nope.
Stephanie, keep some on your kids cloths that was special. I did and it is cool to see my grandkids wear their dads clothes.
Get a older suitcase to keep the clothes in.
Absolutely agree! My daughter wore my clothes that I kept from high school from the early 70’s and then my granddaughter started wearing them….good thing everything comes back in style at one point of another. lol
Vacation is the killer for laundry! That is why we put a washer and dryer in the RV and it was just the 2 of us!
Sorry if my previous post was a little negative. You guys are awesome and amaze me in the things you do. Table is AWESOME . Your soap and Etsy items are awesome. But each generation has their own habits according to what they have lived through.
Happiest New Year
You can start new any day. It doesn’t have to be January 1. Every day is a new day a new chance to change

Both of my boys learned how to do their own laundry when they were 11 after a class in school.

The beginning was so sweet.
I had a picture taken with Jim Harbaugh during a meet and greet when he played for the bears.

Galvaston ? Compared to California beaches ? No comparison
I was able to keep a male better in my regular tank. I could not keep another male beta OR any long finned fish.
PS Echo is no better than last time. It was so much better when you did your lives from your bedroom. Why did you change it?
Sea Hawks beat Rams today.
How would you like for your child, after you cleaned his clothes, then just put them w/ his dirty clothes! Lol
