I suppose thinking about it the owl book plate would be better places in a Harry Potter book.

Some lucky finds. I hope you are reading something good. At the moment I'm nearly through a Louis L'Amour. Fun read.

MacLean is thrilling. Howard Hughes after he slipped quite a bit wanted nothing more than to watch endless re-runs of the movie version. I'm more of a book than movie guy. I can think of far worse fates that reading that adventure masterpiece again and again if I ever start slipping. With that cover in fact I would re-read it right now. Great Haul.

Thanks for the Howard Hughes information and best wishes with what you are reading. So many books and so little tine, eh.

Impressive haul. Most of the books are in great shape. I never read anything by Alistair MacLean. I've wanted to read Where Eagles Dare ever since I heard the Iron Maiden song Where Eagles Dare. Never got around to reading it. Don't know why. Never too late I guess

Yes I am lucky with the second hand book shops and charity shops nearby. Happy reading Stuart. So many books to choose from.

That's good prices, but the misprint on the Harry Potter book probably lowered it even more. It says "Philosopher's" instead of "Sorcerer's". Maybe it's worth more because of the misprint?

@@someothercharacter 😂 That is hilarious... Book is probably a 1 of a kind worth thousands.
