Finding those details while gaming honestly touched my heart and made me feel like a child. What an experience. I’m looking forward for new games set in the wizarding world. The potential is unending!
Would be if there weren’t so many bugs and loading errors. AND missing things on the map! It’s a really good game, I do love it. It’s that I can’t wrap my head around the fact that there’s so many bugs STILL.
@@kennylacombe For me it’s all of the removed mechanics and features that were originally supposed to be in the game, especially sneaking around hogwarts at night time.
@@joshlamb9410 yeah the original showcase of the game was more exciting. Like you said, the sneaking around in the castle at night. And hitting the students. A morality mode would’ve been nice. But last night, I was playing and wound up falling through the floor again. This time I went to the 2 little lands blacked out on the top right of the map. I flew under out of bounds u til I got there. It was all finished. I collected some plants and leeches. No chests or enemies. I wonder if that’s how big the map was originally planned.
Its clear that the people involved in creating this game had some deep passion for the project and it shows, such a sweet experience. Thank you wholeheartedly!
You can tell this game is a labor of love by fans for fans (and even non fans!) It's been years yet I still discover something new about this world. You guys even made the battle system so fun and challenging! Initially I was content exploring through the castle and the open world because the design is gorgeous. But I eventually look forward to taking out the bad guys
This is the first time I’ve seen the arachnophobia mode, and I have to say that while it’s a neat idea, it looks WAY scarier than the original spiders lol
I was always playing on normal mode until I came across a quest with a giant spider so I activated the arachnophobia mode, but I was more scared than before😂
The easter egg I love the most was the shurtcut to Hogsmeade, you know the entrance to Honeydukes behind the One-Eyed Witch, just like the books. Though, I preffered the route to be even longer and smalle. Another easter egg I loved was that you actually had the painting in front of the kitchen near the Hufflepuff Common Room. I love that you actually needed to tickle it! My bf who didn't read the books, didn't know it was there and I showed him. He was flabbergasted, so even for those who didn't read the books... it made it so much more magical!
The amount of effort and attention to detail that went into making this game as accurate to the books and movies as possible is astounding and it really shows.
Great job on this video, guys! I was blown away on so many of these when I originally found them. The love, care, and attention to detail the team put into the game is just incredible. Also, it looks like Chandler had a lot of fun recording for this one 😆😆😆
I am amazed and touched by the dedication and attention to detail the devs put into the game. Sometimes when playing I focus on finishing the quests, but this makes me want to stop and explore more. I admit I also laughed that using Flippendo on a cow says spilled milk and gives you a trophy.
This game is so damn detailed I love it!! I found so many references from the film which has me always coming back to play this game more and more! You can tell the devs really put effort into this game by how much detail and lore behind each Easter egg! I love this game and hope they will continue this level of devotion to such a wonderful game. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾 for a game of the year award 🥇
Even though I found many of these on my own I have to say a lot of those I genuinely wasn’t aware of, such as 3:12 wow had no idea about that! Hats off to the devs who had to not only deliver this amazing game but also delivered interesting bonuses for the players, such as these Easter eggs!

A lovely run down - noting some that I missed, which was fun to see. The effort that has gone into this game is beyond anything I ever expected. This Potterhead was well and truly impressed (and super obsessed) by this game. A very well done!
I really hope they do a video covering all the Twitter videos they've done, explaining how they used book descriptions for locations like the cave first years come in on the boats etc.
New Game+, mission replays, manual weather and seasonal changes, more location missions for new gear, extended levels (to 50, at least!) to enable getting all talent points, and more secrets please - like the ability to sneak into the other houses! The life of the game is then properly extended, as this game doesn't need a second edition, the world map is good enough and big enough to accommodate all of the above and keep HL gamers going for ages.
I think an expansion is likely. It sold very well, and was positively received, so there's money to be made. Additionally, I think there were enough beasts, spells, and potential enemies left unused to serve as content for a DLC. Expecto Patronum is one of the most iconic spells of the franchise, and would translate well to the game, potentially in conjunction with dementors. Not to mention the whole location of Diagon Alley, which would be a nice DLC area full of new quests and details.
Hogwarts Legacy is such a beautiful masterpiece of a game! I have played through the gave five times and I’m still amazed how beautiful this game is. I do hope there will be dlc for this game.
The fight with the Grim and the White Wolf I think is a reference to Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. And the Infari with them to be the friends they lost in the wars.
While I've never cast flipendo on a cow, I do like to accio them to the Merlin trials circle. When the Merlin trial ends the cow gets stuck on top of the little gazebo

The boathouse should be on your right, there's a giant tree on the left. Near by there is a small peer/platform area with a boat tied up. Park your broom and face the direction of the tree. The squid then makes an appearance. It's done it twice now from this location, I am playing as a Gryffindor x

Third! just wanna say thanks for making such a great game. i can tell that it was made with such care that only long time hardcore harry potter fans could provide. the little girl in me who was called a nerd for reading the books, playing the old playstation 1 games, watched all the movies many times over (i remember watching the first movie every day after school on vhs) was deeply happy. i felt at home in hogwarts and in the hufflepuff common room and i just want to say thank you. thank you for putting in the time to make such a wonderful game. looking forward to whatever else you put into this world. 💛💛
It seems kinda awkward that people still claim that Ron didn't manage to use Vera Verto properly because he wasn't skilled enough. Sure he was often mentioned to be struggling in Transfiguration but there are two rather obvious catches to this scene. On one hand his wand was broken at the time and on the other the spell is meant to transform animals... not Animagi.
Some of these are rather gimmicky - of course - but I find the one with the vanishing cabinet rather confusing. Well at least that is when you realize that it was mentioned twice before in the books. Before it showed up in HBP it was mentioned in OotP when Gred and Forge shoved Montague inside of it while he tried to take away points from them. He showed up in a bathroom some time later and was rather confused and mentioned he sometimes heard people at some other place hinting at the connection to Borgin and Burke's. But this malfunction of the cabinet is also explained in the books as it was mentioned before in CoS. Here Nearly Headless Nick talked Peeves into crashing the cabinet down (a flight of stairs? over a railing?) above Flich's office to help Harry out. So the easter egg now suggests that the vanishing cabinet was at some point moved from the room of requirements before the events of Harry Potter.
I can't imagine how long it took them to hold a meeting to design all the details with references from books, films, folders, even something that isn't in the movie but can be connected to the book. how does the supervisor make sure that the details match the book or movie
When the movies 1st came out I dreamed of a game like this.. I'm 35 now and enjoying every second of this game.. and I only paid $17 for the game and $4.99 for the dark arts pack... big DUB!!
The Easter egg that surprised me the most was the portrait of wendolyn the weird in the Dada tower. There isn't even a page or anything to tell you who that is.
I don't know if it references anything, but if you hit a scarecrow with basic cast, it'll freak out and wag its finger at you like a scolding mother. Pretty funny
The phoenix statue you meet in the tale of the three Deathly Hallows I would think is a reference to The Garden of Eden with the Fall of Man. Painted in about 1615 by Peter Paul Rubens and Jan Brueghel the Elder. where you can see a Phoenix in the same position as the statue
Loved this "Missed details video" the 1 thing I didn't appreciate was the spider Jumpscare when Chandler mentions the "Arachnophobia" mode at 10:38 That caught me off guard
The one that most surprised me in the game was the fact that Wendelin's portrait didn't have a revelio page 😂😂 I recognized Wendelin's portrait and i got the reference buy it was "weird" 😏 not having a page
I’m so glad the Developers of this game took the time to add so many details and references my favorite one is the death day dance I’ve always been curious what that actually looked like. I would also like to say thank you thank you thank you for adding an arachnophobia mode as I am someone who hates giant hairy spiders and that was always my problem with Skyrim I loved the game itself but the spiders were always terrifying and everywhere and there was no arachnophobia mode so thank you for taking the time to not only add that but also add a reference that just so happens to be of one of my favorite Harry Potter scenes with it. You guys made an amazing game and you are all so awesome never forget that.
I will NEVER not be petty about the fact that Slytherin and Hufflepuff each have seven numbered dorm rooms for each year in Hogwarts, while Gryffindor and Ravenclaw had their rooms cut to three or four total. Especially cuz you can tell from the outside that each respective tower has enough floors to have the appropriate number. I just dont get it, was it too hard to copy paste two or three more rooms?? Such great game, so many details, but this was cut. Its such an oversight imo.
@@Boldbelarusian Thats literally not the point. He says they have more luxurious rooms for seven year students, not that the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw lack about 8 additional rooms that Slytherin and Hufflepuff have.
I love this game so much, and I’m not even a huge Harry Potter fan. It’s so gorgeous, it’s so vast, and so detailed. I had to take a long break partway through and when I came back decided to start from the beginning again because I wanted to experience it all again. And there is still sooo much I haven’t discovered! And I love this video, because I’m learning Easter eggs that I definitely would never have known. (Again, not a big HP buff). Thank you for the video!
Maybe you mentioned it, there were so many I zoned out a little bit towards the end, but one quest has you hitting bells to play a specific melody in order to unlock the treasure. Ten points to the person who guesses which melody is the correct one ;)
Just finished the Game. and it was one of the Best Singleplayergames of the last Years. Thanks to the level of Detail all over the World it was so immersive and the Sidequeste were always a little different so it didnt feel like a grind. So I spent more time for all side activities before continuing the main story. Thanks for this magical experience.
5:40 The bottles in the vase is actually a reference to Winky the house elf drinking too much butterbeer in Order of the Phoenix. You guys even said so during a livestream, so it confuses me a bit that you changed the reference for this video. The bottles are even labled "Butterbeer"
i loved the detail in the opening cutscene of the main character being able to see the thestrals. such a nice touch
I was like "Maybe he can disapparate in time" but then the thestrals showed up and I gasped so hard
Finding those details while gaming honestly touched my heart and made me feel like a child. What an experience. I’m looking forward for new games set in the wizarding world. The potential is unending!

I can’t believe I only just found out about Robbie Coltrane’s passing, it’s really sad to hear. May him rest in peace.
He says in the video that this is because of their stereotypical focus on status

I would love some “additional quests” DLC for the game or something.. it would be so fun having more random side quests to do
I just bought this game yesterday and started playing it for the first time, and I am absolutely amazed.
I'm happy that this game has references to Ron Weasley, because those movies did him wrong. Great game! 🎉
Maybe you mentioned it, there were so many I zoned out a little bit towards the end, but one quest has you hitting bells to play a specific melody in order to unlock the treasure. Ten points to the person who guesses which melody is the correct one ;)
10:05 curious about this and now wondering if there's ones i missed out 🤔
Loving all the love for Ron! 🧡
Love Avalanche games because you guys also made Mad Max! Loving the new game but I’m curious on who portkey games is? Is that a separate studio?
Seeing how I am not a complete potter fan, I actually was going around looking for eggs, its stupid that its not eggs

The bottles in the vase is actually a reference to Winky the house elf drinking too much butterbeer in Order of the Phoenix. You guys even said so during a livestream, so it confuses me a bit that you changed the reference for this video. The bottles are even labled "Butterbeer"
10:08 in the video you talk about the npc’s
Anyone know where I can find them? I’ve been googling and haven’t seen anything
I love the dead wizard in the Goblin cave with his little homemade Wilson. LOL
With the example you gave of the move forward, fire cannons and move again paying a sail. Do you read that as do either but not both?
The kitchen is just like the way it is described by the books. You can even see the little elves houses inside it.
I tell you what we didn’t miss in the game, the spiders, they’re absolutely everywhere for some reason
I did not miss even one of those easter eggs 😎 because my Switch version I preordered 1 year ago arrives this Winter ¬¬
LOVE this game! Looking forwards to expansions, add ons, sequels, WHATEVER, give it to me!
