just to clear up some confusion: these clips are not from 2007, they're from back in the day when i was still playing original halo 3 on the xbox 360 (around 2010-2014). i figured most people have nostalgia from playing halo 3 when it first came out and it'd make for a more general & appealing title. my apologies if it comes off as misleading. i was definitely not this good when h3 came out, see exhibit A - th-cam.com/video/jOETg-UFgk4/w-d-xo.html
I really wish games nowadaysremembered that families love to play TOGETHER, on the same DAMN SCREEN! There's a lot of CoOp/Versus games out, but very few LOCAL CoOp/Versus games and it's infuriating. Hell even the big Local CoOp franchises like Halo have been stripping away their Local Play features. Yet this is the Future of Gaming...
Couldn't even go prone in bad company but the sniping was so dang realistic it didn't matter. First time I personally saw ballistics implemented in a game properly.
Man this is bitter sweet. I was 17 in 2007 and im 32 now. Back when life was simpler. When you got into a lobby with your mates and didnt have to worry about your bills being paid.
The summer night Halo 3 came out at midnight was epic. There was a huge line at GameStop and it was a celebration in the parking lot. Music and people were so excited, you could feel the electricity in the air I'll never forget it.
I remember getting off work and going to midnight launch with 3 friends. Ordering pizza while sitting in line and watching the same pizza guy come back 4 more times lol. Crazy amount of people, the staff actually interacting with the crowd, quiz games with halo 3 themed prizes from the store. Good times
Only if you’ve been playing long enough to understand the physics and ballistics of the sniper then yes you can. Also even crazier look up “icicle Jump shot”
Back in the 360 days, Halo was just fun. It was still frustrating sometimes like every fps but it wasn't as sweaty as today. I remember getting on H3 just to chill, now every game I'm basically trying not to get destroyed.
There will never be another game like this. Nothing will ever compare or come close to. The fact that Bungie isn’t a part of halo anymore, Bungie was Halo. I’m glad I was around to play this game in its prime. Thank you for the memories.
I get emotional when I think of all the time I put into this with my best friend and my cousin. It'll never be lost on me how it defined so much of my coming of age. I'll never forget it.
There is no greater gaming memory I have that tops getting the Mongoose Mow-down achievement in Lone Wolves. Completing all the achievements in halo 3 was peak of my existence at 13 years old
some of these back to back sticks on 150+ ping makes me think you had a phd in physics at age 12. also you made me miss multi team and 5 man social slayer.. good times. and i literally haven't seen an attic spawn on pit in 10 years so that made me lol
I’ve been addicted to watching FatRat clips lately, which in turn has given me more and more videos on my recommended. These clips are so insane to me, the skill you have is just crazy. Knowing all the spawns down to a science, impeccable aim and reaction time, the variety of weapons and awareness on how to use each to your advantage in basically any situation like…damn dude lol. Even in my teen years when I was gaming for hours more a day than I do now, I could never get even remotely close to this. I wish there was a way to train yourself to get to this level but honestly after a certain point it seems like it’s just straight natural talent
i appreciate the kind words man. it's hard to know how much is inherent talent vs practice since i only have my own experience. i always thought i was average for the first couple years i played, though maybe because i started so young (age 8) and mostly stuck with the same franchise it allowed me to pick things up faster since my tiny brain was developing at the same time. there are def players who are a lot better than me so it's all about perspective too. just a few years ago i'd have slight imposter syndrome because i felt most of my peers were far more talented than me

This was my first ever experience with online gaming and it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had. Halo 3 to this day is still one of my favorite games of all time just for all the good memories I have of me and my buddies playing for hours on end, smoking weed and laughing and losing our minds when someone would pull of a crazy shot or an across the map stick lol. Man, those were the good old days. Thanks for this video
Man just to hear the turret on Valhalla just brought back memories of BTB and the hours of playing with friends/family at sleepovers and school breaks. Thank you for reminding me of simpler times and humble beginnings. I just hope kids now a days get to experience what we did to pass down the torch onto the next gen of gamers
Like so many here, I come to say how nostalgic this is. I wasn’t really a gamer and still don’t consider myself one, but when I got to middle school I met a friend that really influenced me, and we’d play halo. I have a lot of good memories of just being 12-13 hanging out with friends playing this shit
Nostalgia for sure. Me and my sister used to play online quite a bit together. We even met some kids from Guam in chat one day and started playing with them all the time. Wherever you guys are now, I hope life's been good to you.
I remember how fascinated I was with the possibilities of multiplayer and how social it was. Now we take it for granted and forget how much of a novelty it was to connect with close friends, families and even neighbors. Halo 3 and 1 in PC (never played 2 at the time since i didn't have an Xbox) brought these discoveries for me.

I went to the halo 2 and 3 release date and I still don’t remember when they released. The only now know because you snitched on yourself lol
ah yes, the good old multi teams where everybody played with their trash friends or little brothers on the same screen. golden days of xbox live
I was that trash friend 😭

Between this game, CoD4, and the first Bad Company (which released in 2008), this was a phenomenal era for FPS games.
The last good years of gaming right there
What a time to be alive. We were so lucky to have lived it.
