    Hi Jack, beautiful bowl man! Well done!
    I love the fact that you’re a full time production turner, and still taking the time to do some more artistic projects! Becoming a full time turner is something I’d love to do although I’m not sure it will happen for a long time yet. Nevertheless, this got you a new sub! Look forward to your future projects!

      Thanks Seth, I really appreciate that. For me these videos are a way to keep my love for wood turning alive, being a full time woodturner is great of course but it gets very monotonous, and I find myself getting bored of the turnings I do day in day out.
      I hope you do take the jump into full time turning, life is to short to not pursue your dreams. Hit me up on Instagram if you want any advice.

    As no deterrent to the excellence of your work, I was told, as a young woodworker, to never use any for of steel wool on raw wood, without first sealing the surface. This is due to the fact that wood absorbs moisture, and can cause rust from the particles of steel that are imbedded in the wood.

    • @JackMackWoodturning
      @JackMackWoodturning  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s very interesting Ranald, thank you for sharing, I have never seen signs of this but have also never looked for it in my old work. Il do some reading on the subject. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience 🙏🏻
