- I head into a small patch of woods, next to an Auto Zone and stealth camp for the night. Enjoy some beer and cook some chilli mac. Overnight there is a storm with plenty of rain (photo included). In the morning I hightail it out for to complete another urban stealth camp.

You mentioned you slept on that water but got distracted by a loud ass motor bike so what I want to know is how you stayed dry???
The tent sat on all that water but didn't leak. It's a great tent.
Did a shitty job putting up your tent and water pooled underneath. Need to show the proper way of doing that. People out there doing this stuff and your teaching them them to fail. But love the ideal of what you just did. You showed how homeless people live with just a tent 🏕. Think about your audience some are children. And they now want to do wild camping. So please do become one of those peon TH-cam. If you can do more like you can show. How to survive in those situations from being moved do to disasters. You will be the first for that stuff

Yep, stealth is fun. Cops asked me once and couldn't understand 'why', in my own town. Trick is to find a place without other transients.
Dude that's exactly right. For multiple reasons, you want to avoid places where homeless people are camping. But it's interesting how we're doing something for fun that is just their lifestyle.

@@Ray-Willey Hey bud I don't have a review on it, but I'm happy to give you my thoughts. That's the drop point blade. It's a little too big to do any bushcraft/fine work/feather sticks, etc. It's just big enough to clear brush and it does a good job of that. The other thing is that I'm not great at sharpening an edge unless it's a scandi grind. This is not a scandi grind and also it's not a straight blade edge. So I've found it difficult to sharpen. Biggest benefit is that it's super cheap, so it's totally worth a try to me. I've had it for a year. Still using it.

Where is that exactly? I live in a medium size but rapidly growing city in Florida and know of only about half a dozen homeless and only see them a couple times a week carrying signs.
@@ChatGPT1111 I work in an industrial area of Orlando that had a lot of wooded areas. Most have been developed in the last couple of years but before then they were populated be a veritable village of homeless people.
If you light a fire back there, the cops will be after you're all so quick.
For sure, that's why I didn't do it.
Might want to bring some wipes if not to also when using the bathroom too and wipe the dish out as well

Great spot. I would have preferred being dropped off. I live in an area where there is absolutely no wooded area that people, mostly drug addicts, do not walk through, live or hide in. So, no stealth camping for me. I enjoy the activity vicariously through you and others like Steve Wallis.

I've got a nature hike tent exactly like yours. I had to water treat it like 5 times to get it completely water proof. Tape sealed all the seams. I'm from Blacksburg VA. And I've stealth camped on VA. Tech campus in their woods. I love camping and hiking.
Hi Larry! I'm surprised to hear that because I've had this tent out the rain several times and have stayed bone dry inside. I've had bad experiences with leaky tents, so I know the feeling. But my experience with this tent was very good. This is the Cloud Up 1 person tent by NatureHike

I'm not sure where you are but I'm surprised that little wooded area doesn't have a couple of homeless camps.. that tent certainly sticks out, I would cover it with some type of camouflage. I wild camp in my van and I do try to take some precautions so that people don't see me getting in the van at night but when I'm getting ready to leave I don't care if they see me get out and climbing in the driver's seat. I've watched several of your videos so I guess it's time I subscribed...

Found this video this evening and loved it! Have watched a lot of your other ones. I haven't camped much the past 4 years as I was going through cancer treatments. I'm in remission for nearly 3 years! I eat a banana every morning with breakfast. Have never stealth camped before, but tent camp in a nice Coleman tent I've had since 2014. Has endured some nasty thunderstorms and has never leaked!

nutrition is a science, it's deadly serious, we have A-one-and-only body ~ bad choices could lop off a decade of life expectancy, retire at 60, dead at 70 means only 10 years of relaxation and hobbies, you want to be still enjoying your hobbies at 90+
young ppl think they won't care about living when old but the older you get, the more you want to keep living...and you look back at all the silly choices you made thinking you were immortal or something, not connecting the dots between junk and bouts of sickness

Will do Ben! Stealth camping is fun, but completely different than regular camping. Camping out in the woods is really peaceful and relaxing, whereas Stealth camping is more for the excitement.

Yes, have stealth camped. Been some years now. Out of necessity. Actually on occasion I slept in my van during the day at a Meijers.

I'll keep that in mind! I usually don't take because they aren't really biodegradable. But I never though about using them for gear. Then I wouldn't mind hiking them out.

You can say "No disrespect", but it doesn't make your comment less obnoxious. You don't need camo gear to be a stealth camper, although it definitely makes life easier. Just gotta pick a good spot and be cautious.

Awesome video. The reason you have all that water under the tent is because your tarps stuck out past the edges of the tent and caught the water as it ran off the tent, then it ran underneath the tent on top of the tarp. If you tuck in the tarp on all sides underneath the tent then the water will shed to the ground and there will be no way for water to get between the tarp and the tent
That's actually a really good tip and makes a lot of sense. I'm heading out tomorrow to shoot another video (hopefully in the rain). I'll make sure I set the ground sheet up that way. Thanks!

I hear ya, and beer isn't for everyone. I like a lot of different kinds of beers, but I tend toward heavier ones. I like stouts and porters and this was is super good. Of course, the price is right along with it, lol
