That's exactly what I was thinking ha. I would think he is used to it by now. I guess at first I would be a little paranoid but he really hits the deck.
I was homeless when I was in my late teens and lived in a tent in the cemetery for several months, way in the back but out in the open. There were no graves back there yet. No one bothered me. Once, the police drove up in the middle of the night and banged on the front aluminum tent pole. I stuck my head out and he said, "Have you seen so-and-so?" He was a local kid that had run away from home. I told him I hadn't seen him, which was the truth. He said, "OK. Thanks." and went back to his cruiser and drove away. I went back to sleep. A few weeks later, after eating at the town restaurant, I came back to my tent and the fire department had driven their truck up there and turned a hose on the inside of my tent, soaking everything inside and demolishing my tent. I moved to the woods behind the post office after that. Good times!
It is very respectful to visit the graves of unknown memories just to take the moment to say hello, who were you I wonder, you may be forgotten but for this moment I am here to remember you once were.
On one of my early bicycle tours years ago I once camped at a small town cemetery, way at the back into the woods a bit with my hammock and a big can of beer. Stormed hard that night and I thought I might get blown away by a tornado, but fun in retrospect. I love little rural cemeteries to stop into and have a short rest and refreshment on bike rides.
Ive always been bummed that theres no good camping spots where i live (theyre all rv/camper parks with water and electricity). Since i found this channel at the end of last summer ive realised how the possiblities are endless, and even places with "no camping" rules are really only suggestions. Thanks Steve

@@fitybux4664 They are coyotes however. I would have my dog with me. He's exceptional when assessing threats in the animal kingdom or dealing with wild animals. His behaviour would tell me immediately what their intentions were. Knowing him he'd probably make friends with them and join their pack. Then he'd slowly take over the pack leader position without there even being a fight. He's the type of dog you don't own or take for a walk. He makes his own decisions and you're walking by yourself while he just keeps an eye on you. If you try to boss him around or rush him, he'll challenge you. Such an epic dog though. Advanced level.

@@lesterbronson2385 inside them. Usually ones right out in the country, especially if the are overgrown and unkempt, it's a good sign they're abandoned.
I have slept in my car at the local cemetery during the day. It's great , so peaceful. I just park under a tree for shade in the older section of the graves. The older graves have fewer living visitors. I'm not homeless, I'm a shift worker in need of a rest.
Hey Steve, I recommend using a camo tarp to cover the perimeter of your campsite. Tie it to the trees around you so that way, no one from a distance will see your lights.. Heck you can even have a stealth bonfire!
I think he did that a year or more ago, camping in a park in the middle of a residential area and it worked well...but he has said he tries to keep the equipment to a minimum.
And in a hundred years, whenever someone sees a shadowy figure with a pack walking the edge of the woods, they'll know it's just ol' Steve, lookin' fer a place to hunker down. So don't forget, if you're reading this in 2120, to leave a step two out on Halloween, to help him on his way.
Glad you marked your territory for the local coyotes! They seemed to leave you alone, even if they could smell the raw hamburger out of your backpack at half a mile away! I love your set up, the Hennesee hammock. Ever thought of trying a yoga mat inside for improved insulation? Can roll up and get bungied corded to the outside of your pack, and adds little weight.

You gotta think by now if security / police catch him they'll be like "Oh hey Steve! Doin a stealth video?! Sorry to interrupt you!"

That was a great episode. I know now what to watch when I get bummed out in life. Thank you for what you do 😊
Good show Steve, I always enjoy watching your Halloween specials. The coyotes were a nice touch. I live through you vicariously, thank you so much!

I've always been curious about private property laws in the UK...so you can't chase someone off your property legally? I know the squatter's rights are different in the UK compared to Canada and the US.
@@sahamal_savu England and Wales do not have the same right of access law that Scotland does, you can camp and roam almost anywhere in Scotland within reason, obviously use a bit of common sense and you shouldn't have anyone chasing you off land. The rule is leave the land as you found it

Funny... When I was a little kid we was traveling to visit family in different part of state, we passed a cemetery my Mother or Dad made the comment on how many dead people were there. And sneaks around like James Bond
Good times!
Glad you're not homeless anymore fellow Armo!
Was there a fire in the tent? LOL
@Red Peonies Me too!
the police were nice but the firemen were assholes. Bizzare

Steve: I hear Coyotes nearby
**Starts cooking meat**
Aren't they just shy wild dogs? I'd want to lure them in to try and befriend them.
@@prndownload Wolves can be fierce. Not like a house dog.
That transition is comedy gold. "That's just great... Food time!"

I've camped overnight in quite a few cemeteries in my life, and I must admit they've been the most quiet, peaceful and nicest places I've ever slept in.
No noisy neighbours. Or traffic noises. Just total peaceful sleep.
I bet it’s peaceful as hell, but creepy too. Did you literally camp inside of the cemeteries or right outside of them?
@@lesterbronson2385 inside them. Usually ones right out in the country, especially if the are overgrown and unkempt, it's a good sign they're abandoned.

Even if he were to put it on top of the hammock it would help. Have one for every season and change them out accordingly.
