    With the recorders, it reminded me of Telemann. Very nice indeed!

      I would love to see that coming along. You're the closest to an accurate reincarnation of Bach I've ever seen (bold of me, perhaps, to assume I have seen enough as to make judgement myself). And so, it would be of the utmost honor for me to be taught how to better imitate the style of the eternal Bach in my own compositions by no other than such a master you've already proven yourself to be on it. Brilliant idea!

    If you told me this was a lost movement of Brandenburg Concerto no.4 I would believe you. Amazing emulation.

    Absolutely exquisite! This is quite clearly strongly influenced by Brandenburg 5 Movement 3 in rhythm, instrumentation and structure of the polyphony, and omg It's just so so so good! I'm almost not surprised anymore because all your videos are this standard! I'm still mindblown you have so few subscribers and views!

    OMG❤ so special, a completely new unique D-minor Concerto, inspired by the measurements and framework of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto no. 5 in D major BWV 1050 - third part! Thank you Mr. Antoni Mairata.

    Good news!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
    The creator of the Bach Emulation Project wasn't Gerubach, so he could post videos.
    This is the evidence:
    In the video of the Concerto in D #19 there's a comment someone wrote 9 months ago (today is 5th January 2024) and it has a like from the Bach Emulation Project.
    And as we all know Gerubach died on February 2023 so he can't have liked the comment.
    Hence, the creator of this channel is still alive 🎉🎉🎉.

      I think this is the end unfortunately ): I expect that Gerubach (Gerardo Martinez) might have been the one behind this channel, and he sadly passed away suddenly a few months ago, so my guess is that this is sadly the end ); we have truly lost one of the greats and so few people even have realised ):

      @@Composer_ well first, the identical style of the scrolling red bar. but also there were some comment threads on one of the other videos on this channel (not sure which) where people were speculating that it was geru, and then they replied that 'you'll know who's behind this when the time is right' or something.

    Very well done and mature baroque music . It is imaginative and generally well executed; it is the opposite of the boring and harmonically dry music by Vivaldi and other insignificant composers from that era, which wrote music just to have food on the table.

    • @chipensemble
      @chipensemble 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      What a pretentious and ridiculous comment- certainly Bach wanted to explore things that his contemporaries didn't: but trashing on Vivaldi is something common of the ignorant- his works expand beyond the infamous violin concertos.

    • @malcolmledger176
      @malcolmledger176 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Bach certainly didn`t think that Vivaldi was "boring and harmonically dry". On the contrary, he copied and arranged his works assiduously. Nor is there anything "insignificant" about his music. I would rather trust Bach`s judgement than yours.

    • @SimoneBattaglia94
      @SimoneBattaglia94 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Insignificant composers like who? Handel, Caldara, Zelenka, Lotti, Telemann, Hasse, Fux, Rameau or Mondonville? Crazy ahahah

  • @chipensemble
    @chipensemble 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I really love this. It's ingenious in its conception and technique. However, at the same time I question what the objectives are for "emulating Bach"? Any merit of your compositions reduce to a comparison to J.S., and he will always be superior.

    • @Isegawa2001

      It sounds good, methinks. That's about enough.

      @Ryan L In the first paragraph, that is a good question. The same can be said about all the fine arts that -despite being complex and intricate in details; ultimately have a formula that can (and will) be easily copied with AI. What AI cannot do, however ,is being imaginative. That's where the personal subtleties of the human composer make a difference: so that is why I did my comment (why copy Bach so closely at all). The composer at Bach emulation project knows their stuff really well so why not use this knowledge as an element for a personal style that won't be compared to a guy who lived in the 1700's?
      AI will easily replace trailer and film music because it has become so formulaic particularly in the Western cinema. Indeed, you can hardly hear a difference among the big name film scores with every one having ostinatos, war drums, and a lack of melody and harmony. Such mechanical music is an easy job for an AI. but what about the subtleties of a beautiful love song (and sung by a human)-with harmony that resonates with us for being tragic, or hopeful- with lots of dynamic range and surprises where you expect it the least? (not following a formula)
