Denim blue colour is eye catching 😀 From my test drive experience of all cars in this segment I felt Venue is best choice in petrol engine. EcoSport is good when it comes to diesel. As an automotive engineer I can say that diesel engines are slowly fading away in Indian market because of tough emission norms and rising diesel price. Electric vehicles are trending in automotive sector. We should not be surprised if electric cars-for city commute, petrol cars- for inter city commute become standard in 6-7 years down the line!

The ride quality is well-sorted and even if you take that speed breaker a little faster than anticipated, the suspension doesn't thud over it and the rebound bounce is well-controlled. On the other hand, the Nexon AMT feels more convenient to drive than its manual version. The AMT is on offer in the top of the line variants of the petrol and diesel versions both. Both engines feel equally refined but when it comes to throttle response, the petrol shows a slight jerkiness while the diesel feels smooth. Interestingly, the default mode in Auto is City, and the biggest advantage of the AMT is the convenience it offers in traffic. The AMT does away with the clutch pedal and as you don't have to change gears yourself, it makes for far more relaxed driving. Sure, it could’ve done without a few silly feature omissions and with a slightly wider cabin. But other than that, the Venue doesn’t leave much to want. +Parbat Singh Hyundai’s Venue is delivering where it matters the most: a healthy list of features, a big boot, comfortable ride and appreciable quality. Sure, it could’ve done without a few silly feature omissions and with a slightly wider cabin. But other than that, the Venue doesn’t leave much to want. The turbocharged petrol as well as the diesel complement the Venue’s city-focused character beautifully. At the same time, both motors feel leggy enough for highway runs. On the other hand, Mahindra’s XUV300 gets a whole lot right. You get a bucketful of features, the quality of materials is positively refreshing and to top it off, it's comfortable to drive daily and hoon on weekends. Well, we were a bit underwhelmed by the space the cabin offered. And there’s no other way of saying it, the boot space feels small for a car this size. Also, Expectedly, Mahindra has priced the XUV300 at a premium compared to its immediate rivals. If we talk about Brezza, it is available with Diesel engine only. But if you want a reliable, stylish and a well-equipped SUV with adequate performance, it would be a good option. Moreover, take a test drive before the final call.

+HYPER TM SX(O) is the top-spec variant for the Venue with all the bells and whistles and connected car tech, but with telematics only with the manual transmission. It is also the only variant to offer upto 6 airbags along with basics such as split-folding rear seat and rear wiper-washer. Given that the SX variant offers a lot of goodies that make up a modern-day car, it is still the variant that makes sense for most buyers. Stretching to SX(O) would make sense to those who often do long distances on a full house as multiple airbags would make the drive safer for all passengers.

+HYPER TM Well, all these cars are of different segments. All these cars have features filled to the brim. But, the brand hasn't shared the exact feature details of Elite i20 2020, Verna 2020 yet. Moreover, in terms of feature front, between XUV 300 and Venue, you may go for Mahindra XUV300 if budget is not an issue. Otherwise, the Venue is a good-to-go option.
