Such a great help as I’m a single mum doing up my house and this has saved me the cost of an electrician. Very easy to follow and understand, just need to get some terminal blocks, wire and tape now! Really enjoying learning how to do diy jobs that were previously done by my sons dad and stumbling across your video has saved me hours of confusion- thank you.
We bought our first home just over a year ago and so many of your videos have helped me do so much to my out dated home. Just popping on here to remind myself on the light swap I’ve already done 3 rooms but that was few months ago. Keep up with all your video and your living room is mega. We have the same colour on a feature wall in our dining room. Thanks
I did this but used Wago blocks, which make it even easier. Offer a very secure ‘click in’ and ‘click out’ for the wires which saves on the fiddly connection with traditional blocks and I think is actually stronger/more reliable.
Thank you for this. I was totally lost when I took the ceiling rose off and found so many wires. Your clear advice made the job a lot easier for me to do. Brilliant!!!
Great video as always. Learning lots from this channel. I also agree and cannot emphasise enough, especially for novices like myself who are learning, its best practice to take photos step by step so if you forget or make a mistake, you can correct your course easy.
Excellent thanks so much. I'm a beginner in terms of home lighting DIY but it was exactly what I was after. Forgot to take a photo beforehand so was left with lots of wires and a bit confused. Now much happier. Excellent video. Ta
Ive used this channel so much, outside electrics, lodt light and changed three celing lights. Very informative, and the newer videos theres less procrastination as rwgards tools. I also prefer the newer vids as they use wago connections. So easy and look well good in the right box.
errr yes! I stupidly thought there would just be 3 wires and it would be a simple switch. Like, how did he know which wire went into which block in the new rose? Why can't they (manufacturers) colour-code these things?!
Thank you for this video, it really helped me. You explained step by step and made it easy to follow your instructions. I like my DIY but when I seen them ceiling rose I didn't have a clue. I would before hire a electrician but realised its not as hard as it looks after watching your video.
