the reason your drive gauge refills is because you enter an area where goofy and donald aren’t part of your party. this includes area where they are static npcs you can interact with
I am genuinely shocked this is the first video I’ve ever seen like this where I actually knew all the information still a very great video and I’m sure there’s plenty of people who don’t look into the details as much as someone like you or I
I love the drive gauge trick... I remember testing the limits of it cause there's all sorts of instances that it can happen. So if you leave a world and go back in it'll refill your drive, if you go to another world it will also refill, if you save then reset. I believe you also spawn with full drive form. So I'm guessing its a safety net thing added into a bug they couldn't quite fix. The bug isn't resetting the drive guage its resetting the drive form. A couple cool tricks I noticed. You can retain the drive form of a Party Member that disappears between cutscenes. Example I discovered Goofy and Valour Form to fight Demyx in Hollow Bastion. If you enter the cutscene with Valour Form equipped you are still in form after Goofy is unconscious. I dunno of many times Donald abandons the party without Goofy. But I think I remember noticing it'll also kick you from drive form after cutscenes where both Donald and Goofy get kicked from the Party unless its Master or later added Limit Form. Also can't remember if it worked on any other challenges in the poohs book but the cave one I'm pretty sure you can use wisdom form go into the area talk to pooh then zip through like a run and gun.
There is another spot you can fight Seifer in the beginning, it is at a point i think when you are heading to the 7 wonders of twilight town. In the sandlot you can fight him one time. Leave the area and reenter and you can fight him again, as many times as you want. I just started the series over and am at kh2 right now. Got myself an extra level doing that.
Recently decided to play through kh2 again and I learned so many things! I had no idea about Seifer, or those 2 AP boosts for getting 1200 money for the beach... Great video!
With the seifer fight, you can actually challenge him infinitely. Steps: Fight him Walk into another load zone Walk back and fight again Repeat. Literally has been working every time. Figured this out cuz i save after every level and his fight kept popping up
There's actually another method to refill your drive gauge, and it works even after you've inadvertently transformed into Anti-Form. Exit whatever world you're in, take the Gummi Ship over to the Hercules world, and enter any Underdrome Tournament battle, then quit immediately. You'll have your drive gauge completely filled to the max. It's the quickest method if you fail to exit a world before your drive gauge depletes or you changed into Anti-Form and you have no drive recoveries of any kind.
@Crimsonrosso glad I could help. I just discovered it last week as I was playing through the game. It's nice to not have to grind for materials to make drive recoveries or repeatedly deplete the MP bar and fight enemies.
@@lukelyon1781 fr, i love kh2 but that was always kind of a pain. Thankfully you can dish out enough damage without it so its not a massive issue, but it can get tedious when you just wanna grind levels.
@04:40 Has this been updated recently? (The game, not the video. The video is done perfectly) because I got nostalgic about a week ago and found it on steam. I got to this mission, said I remember this being a grind as a kid, and proceeded to only do one delivery mission earning 50 munny and then talking to Hayner worked as it should. Never had to do another mission.

@Crimsonrosso absolutely. I'd rather spend that time either leveling up my growth abilities or just plain leveling and doing challenges.

whenever you beat him just go into the hide out and talk to him again
For filling the Drive form use magnega followed by Trinity attack Goofy and It would almost fill full

It weird fight Seifer for xp UT don't grind to get the extra 1 or 2 ap. Which you need 2 way more
