    HOA fees are really too high for retired people on social security. Maybe our fed gov could subsidize Americans before worrying about illegals

    Beautiful homes for 55+ communities but HOA is high. Love to move to Florida some time soon. New York is great but time for a change 🤔

    I would LOVE to get away from a development that has a high maintenance fee. Those fees will NEVER go down. This is something people have to keep in mind. Where I am living now we do have a recreation center with a large pool, kiddie pool etc. Our homeowners fees are $45.00 a month. The reason they are so low, is that the community allows other communities to share the facilities. I’ve never had a problem with too many people in the pool etc,. A retired person is on a FIXED income. If a fee keeps going up and up, pretty soon you have no “extra” income for anything and then have to sell. Other people are going to look at those HOA fees and probably walk. Just my thoughts.

    This is a very helpful video. Some of these look beautiful. Are there any 55+ communities that offer individual homes with some acreage (space) between them)? Not looking for several acres, but it would be nice to live in a community that offers both: lots of activities to join as well as a home to return to with privacy at the end of the day.

    Why don't you get to manufacture biulders and have a community that run around 80k-130k that's what is needed in any fl city out of areas

    Hi Lisa, Great job. My husband and I are ready to relocate to Florida. Not easy to make a decision to buy a home in a 55Plus community. We almost bought a home in the Villages, but after 4 days of visiting, we realized it was not what we thought. We would like to rent in a 55Plus, FIRST, and get to know if that is a good match. Is it an option? Or rent at least close by?

    Quick question, what is the name of the floor plan whereby when you open the front door & the only thing one sees is a kitchen towards the rear of the home? The bedrooms are on the other side separated by a wall. The rest is open space

    I need is a one-bed condo, townhouse, single family, duplex or whatever I don't care as long as it's in a quiet area (I'm 67 years old single, self-sufficient in good health). I need about 700 to 1000 feet with access to a pool in a nice low crime area. I need home grocery and medication delivery and plenty of Uber ride share availability, I don't know if I'm going to buy a car. I'll be moving from overseas, I've been living in Thailand for 15 years. I'm also going to need a place to stay while I look for the home purchase, it'll be an all cash deal. I don't want to spend more than $150-170,000 and I don't want HOA fees more than $300-350 a month. I might need to hire a personal assistant/driver person to help me get set up given the difficulty of this international move and starting over from scratch having to buy all my furniture, appliances etc only having the clothes on my back, my SS pension, bank accounts/investments. The largest of those communities is the villages in Florida. It is not a bad place to live but they tout it as being the “friendliest little community”. exact the cactus opposite is true. You have a large number of very angry elderly dying people they take it out on anybody and everybody around them, also the town of Lady Lake is part of the villages a good place to live a terrible place to open a business as they are anti-business and anti-religion.

    • @barbaraallen3054
      @barbaraallen3054 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You obviously don't know what you are talking about. I have been wintering in The Villages since 2008 and know many fulltime residents there. It is a vibrant and very friendly place.

      @@barbaraallen3054 You’re right, I’ve only been here for 21 years so what would I know and I do business with the Village people on a daily basis so I’m glad for you that you have had good experience I want you to, but that’s not the experience that most people here have unfortunately. Just like Disney nothing bad ever happens on Disney property, the same thing in the villages all it is is niceness and sunshine but what really is, a swinging, sex parties, wife swapping, and so forth. Stay on top, don’t dig deep and you’ll be fine.

    Def interested in more info on the new communities when it’s available. One question I do have for you....are you allowed to have a young adult who is not ready to live on their own live with you?

    • @TheRealLivingWithLisa
      @TheRealLivingWithLisa  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Kristine, you CAN have an adult child live with you as long as you are present and they are 18 years of age or older. They cannot live in the house by themselves. You should always check the community rules, each community has it's own set of rules/regulations. Thank you for watching~

    Many TH-camrs ask you to subscribe before you even heard their presentation. Why would I subscribe to something when I haven't heard you yet. If I hit subscribe before I listen and then I don't like what you have to say then I have to go back and unsubscribe. I only subscribe to a TH-camr after I've watched one or two of their videos and decided that they were useful. So ask at the end
