    I think it’s great you chose an open ID donor. Even if the child doesn’t want to meet their “dad” in the future, having that option is great.
    Hearing these stories I am also SO happy I live in the Netherlands. Here you get 3 rounds of IVF paid under insurance and I believe 10 IUI’s
    Anyways I am so happy it worked out for you and you’ll be expecting twins! 👶🏻👶🏻

      wow I am so jealous that is covered under insurance in your country! in the U.S. my wife and I will have to pay all out of pocket. it is so cool to learn how this process works in other countries! :)

      Wow, that's great. In Germany, insurance usualy pays 50% of the costs for 6 or 8 IUI and up to 3 IVF, but only if you are married and under 40 years old

      why are these 2 stupid women involving innocent babies to enter into a vicious circle, if you want to be a lesbian just involve yourself and that shit. I think then there will be a movement of women marrying animals and having kids and the father is a dog or a cat so sad.

    My wife and I get asked series of questions when we go out it usually starts with are you twins? No. Are you sisters? No. Are you guys related? NO! It is so crazy! We will even still get who's the man in the relationship. It's admirable that Allie can stay so calm. (:

  • @religiondoesntpaytaxes7861

    After watching Living Rosa, I've since felt that reciprocal IVF is so fascinating because two females are biologically involved in making the baby. It's magical that females can do that because that can't happen with two males.

    Congratulations again Allie & Sam. I cannot wait to continue to follow your TH-cam pregnancy journey videos between this Thursday & Allie's due date. You two are honestly my favorite lesbian couple on TH-cam (even though I am straight as I believe I have mentioned in earlier comments.)

  • @justagirl4117

    I find it so cool that you are both biological moms of your babies. Of course that's not all that matters and doesn't define the love of a parent, but it's still special. I'm not quite sure about it, but I think I even heard something about how the carrying mom has a genetic influence on a baby through the exchanges and processes between mom and baby.

    • @annymus4502
      @annymus4502 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wait, for real? Will carrying the baby make them biologically related to you?

    • @Sunflowers9191
      @Sunflowers9191 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@annymus4502 no it doesn’t. The babies will only have Sam’s DNA (not that it matters though)

    • @justagirl4117
      @justagirl4117 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maybe, I wasn't able to express it correctly since English is not my mother tongue. I didn't mean that it changes your DNA, but I think I heard something about an exchange of blood cells (and maybe some other factors too) that stay in the baby's and in the mother's body after the pregnancy (at least for a while). Like I said, I'm not sure and certainly not a scientist so if you really want to know, you will have to do some research.

    • @KittyKat101MT3
      @KittyKat101MT3 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Sunflowers9191 it’s called Epigenetics! No, there will be no actual DNA code changed as a result of the pregnancy. However there are factors changed in the way that the DNA is expressed. So yes, there is a biological link between the person carrying the baby and the baby themself, even if the two do not share DNA!

    I don't know if you get this question a lot, but Sam, have you considered trying to induce lactation? Abbie and Julia tried to do that when they were preparing for their baby. I just wondered, especially with you having twins, if you had thought about it.

    Congratulations on your twin pregnancy :) Did you implant two Embryos or are they identical twins? I can relate to the amount of stress the two years must have caused you. My husband and I are trying to concieve for three years already. Both of us are healthy and doctors in the fertility clinic found no reason why it wouldn't work. I even had diagnistic surgery and hormonal stimulation. It is highly frustrating

    • @TheUnderCoverMother2020
      @TheUnderCoverMother2020 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had my girls 10 yrs apart. Don't give up. When I stopped "trying" I became pregnant with my youngest. I had a Miscarriage before my first. Had a surgery and successfully got pregnant with my first, 6 mos after surgery. I had 2 ovarian cysts and scar tissue attaching my ovary to my stomach wall and some wrapped around my tube. We thought I had endometriosis but upon exploration surgery. They were able to clear out the scar tissue and drain the cysts. Got pregnant with my oldest daughter.
      I again miscarried a few times after and about Gave up (no real explanation why I wasnt able to carry another one to term). I was in an unhappy marriage and had divorced yrs before my youngest was conceived. My 2nd husband and I only had 1 child together and never got pregnant with another one. We tried for a boy. No pregnancies. Take a vacation and focus on enjoying the stress free environment and try not to dwell on the fertility issues... sometimes the body doesn't cooperate because of the stress and worry... Oh one thing my Dr told me to try when we were clear to get try for my first born. They had me take cough syrup. Robitussin a week before ovulation to thin out my mucus. Sometimes that is too thick and hinders the sperms passage. It worked. Got pregnant first try. Some women have that problem. Your Dr can actually test that as well. We were scheduled the next month, if it didn't work.. to try again and immediately come Into the Fert specialist office after for a scope done to see if my mucus was hindering the sperm. Thank goodness I didn't need that invasive procedure as I got pregnant the 1st month.
      My second child was born was I was 34. 10 yrs after my youngest, my first Grandchild was born. Litterally all 3 are 10 yrs apart LOL just had a Grandson last Christmas Eve.
      Good luck and I'll send up some prayers for you and sending some baby dust your way. Blessings to ya.

    I commented this when i first found out and I'll say it again.... This is the most beautiful thing and best idea i have ever seen/heard of 😍 how many same sex couples can actually say i am pregnant and it is my partners biological baby? Not only that you both get to take part in making the babies. This is the closest you can come to having two biological mommies. (Please don't get me wrong, i am not saying someone is not a mom/dad if they're not biological) Congratulations mommies

    My partner and I don’t even look alike (different hair color total different body shape) and we still get asked if we are sisters!! WTF?
    It has to be that they think we are lesbians and just want to confirm…because I have never heard of anyone going up to a straight couple and asking them if they are siblings…

    Question: there’s a ss couple here on TH-cam that had a close male friend- close as in close friendship as well as proximity. One of them stayed home and would get as close to climax as possible while they other went and retrieved the fresh sample and drove back home and inserted the sample and the recipient would try to climax right before or soon after.
    This climaxing they felt was important to helping the sperm to swim well and survive.
    They’ve had two children this way.
    I wondered if you two considered this as a method, obviously it’s cheapest.

    • @Ronsko
      @Ronsko 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think climaxing is important for the sperm, considering most people don't climax from piv (penis in vagina) sex.
      As an example: when I got pregnant, I didn't climax. Still, I got pregnant in one try (I am in a straight relationship)

    I think the Island is offering financial help for a couple of tries...I only skimmed the article. It might be worth a read and to see if NS may be similar. How did you choose a donor? Did you get photos, baby pictures, voice samples? I always just wonder if that is what everyone does or if you just look at health and similar features. Do you plan to do a gender reveal? Ladies get your sleep NOW. 😂 Wishing you all the best in this exciting journey. Be present for every moment!!
