I have been in some very abusive relationships in the past, throughout my military contract and college. All of my relationships had the same thing in common, I was used. To pay their bills, cook, or to do anything thing they wanted. I know I should have left sooner but everyone said Im way to nice. I also counted the monthly anniversaries. But since my wife and I began dating I've never kept tract, and now that we are married I only know one date. One thing that we both do very well is we appreciate each other and treat each other like its our last day. Yes we argue but, we step back take a minute to breathe. She goes for a run, and I do a boxing workout, then we comeback to discuss the issue. We never put each other down.

I totally agree with Kristen when it comes to jealousy. I am not heartless (which I have been called) because I refuse to see the point in jealousy. Either I have enough confidence in my partner and the relationship or I don’t. If I don’t, I feel like I should not be in the relationship. TRUST should make jealousy non-existent in a relationship unless it’s new and a certain level of trust has not been reached. I was once told that if I wasn’t jealous of the situation, then I did not love her enough because she knew she would be jealous. My reply was if she put herself in a situation that she would not like if the position were reversed, then maybe she did not love me enough for me to stay.

I am living example, I've been with my girlfriend for nearly 9 years and I had kind of crisis but we both talk about it and I said that I just don't feel love any more, it was hearbreaking for both of us. I totally agree . Im not cocky or anything, but I'm confident and secure in myself that I don't get jealous. And if I notice that someone is intentionally trying to make me jealous , I just leave the relationship because for me that's just childish, and Infact an act of insecurity in and of itself . I've never been jealous of people, places , or things .. if you're the jealous type , it's either because you know/feel the person you're with is not that into you and still are choosing to be in a sketchy relationship OR you have insecurity/abandonment issues you need to work on . This is a question that is slightly off topic. I am a gay woman living in Kenya. The laws in Kenya are quite restrictive for the lgbt community here. In my area though I do go out with women publicly and don't necessarily have to be closeted (even though this is technically illegal). I want to experience the freedom that people have in other parts of the world. If I were to plan a 1 week trip to an LGBT-friendly country (perhaps I could go for a pride event), where and what would you suggest? (The US and Canada are a bit too far and visas are expensive so please suggest something else). Ps. Love you two and thanks for all your videos!

I just went through this with 2 of my friends. The one said she loved her but wasn't in love with her so I told her to tell her that she needs to break it off. So she went on pretending about the love thing and finally I didn't think it was fair to not tell my friend (the one I felt like she was my baby lesbian sister) the truth. I didn't tell her the truth for over a month and it was truly killing me. And I don't know if it was my place to tell her I dropped some hints but the guilt of not telling her and the guilt of telling her was awful for me. Ultimately it ended their relationship so I was very sorry for hurting my friend but in the end she thanked me for actually telling her. So I guess it was out of respect because friends should help friends, but really depends on the friendship. No one should be leading anyone on in any case. 😞😢😔

I agree that jealousy is definitely detrimental and could be a sign of various negativities. To give an example of myself, years ago I had a relationship with two lesbian girls and because we were so young at the time, there was jealousy among us. Later fortunately we resolved this and learned to be good friends. We essentially learned acceptance and that was a good experience

I am living example, I've been with my girlfriend for nearly 9 years and I had kind of crisis but we both talk about it and I said that I just don't feel love any more, it was hearbreaking for both of us. But I promised that will give us another chance and we need work out on some things - no promises. We went through a lot but feelings come back after while and she tried harder to work out, so it is worth a try if you are with right person.

I totally agree . Im not cocky or anything, but I'm confident and secure in myself that I don't get jealous. And if I notice that someone is intentionally trying to make me jealous , I just leave the relationship because for me that's just childish, and Infact an act of insecurity in and of itself . I've never been jealous of people, places , or things .. if you're the jealous type , it's either because you know/feel the person you're with is not that into you and still are choosing to be in a sketchy relationship OR you have insecurity/abandonment issues you need to work on .
Either way , the problem lies with you .
Because there's never a need for jealousy.
Jealousy is just fear in disguise.
And there should never be a need for fear in a relationship. You should feel safe in your relationship or not be in one at all .

Always go with your gut instinct....if it doesn't feel right it won't be!!!! If someone is making jealous, and making you do things you didn't think you were capable of, it's them not you, so run for the hills. It's not easy but for your own self worth, just go. i was also in a relationship that didnt go so well the person that i was with didnt even want me they just wanted someone else and even cheated on me right in front of me and then when i said that i needed to space to think about us and what i just saw and then only a few days later when i was helping out a friend with her shop and i was having lunch the person demanded that i went out onto the street and wanted to talk to me and their mum was standing there and then after a little while of us talking this person got violent and hit me so after that i then said that i didnt want to them ever again after how this person treated me :( but the thing is though was that i was in love with this person and didnt realise that they were they way they are

This is a question that is slightly off topic. I am a gay woman living in Kenya. The laws in Kenya are quite restrictive for the lgbt community here. In my area though I do go out with women publicly and don't necessarily have to be closeted (even though this is technically illegal). I want to experience the freedom that people have in other parts of the world. If I were to plan a 1 week trip to an LGBT-friendly country (perhaps I could go for a pride event), where and what would you suggest? (The US and Canada are a bit too far and visas are expensive so please suggest something else).

Acacia Aggarwal come to the netherlands we had the first rights to marry someone from the same sex in the world. We also learn the kids at schools that its oke to be who you are and every school needs to talk about the lhbtq. It is something the goverment tells us to do 😊

I just went through this with 2 of my friends. The one said she loved her but wasn't in love with her so I told her to tell her that she needs to break it off. So she went on pretending about the love thing and finally I didn't think it was fair to not tell my friend (the one I felt like she was my baby lesbian sister) the truth. I didn't tell her the truth for over a month and it was truly killing me. And I don't know if it was my place to tell her I dropped some hints but the guilt of not telling her and the guilt of telling her was awful for me. Ultimately it ended their relationship so I was very sorry for hurting my friend but in the end she thanked me for actually telling her. So I guess it was out of respect because friends should help friends, but really depends on the friendship. No one should be leading anyone on in any case. 😞😢😔

i have been dating my girlfriend for 3 years now we plan to get engaged because she asked me to move in with her to canada but i am from U.S
so its sometimes hard not to be with her physically because we both are into professional work life.
also I recently Came out to my parents because they happened to forced me to marry a guy because according to them liking a women is some kind of illness ( Which is not! because I know what i am and i love myself of being honest)
I am not sure I did good thing or bad thing telling them, its just we are from religious family , so all they talk about is family reputation , family friends reactions. God and me being a sinner ( which really hurts btw)
Now they break all the connection with me because I chose the women I want to spend my life with
but deep down inside I have unknown fear, negative thoughts.
I am 25 years old And completely knows how my family going through. Also know they cant control my life .
They make me feel like its all my fault ? That because of me and my realtionship with my gf is going to bring shame to them in the community
