Honestly most excited for Regiments. With the addition of combat air patrol, long range SAM Kubs, and heliborne infantry, the game’s air battles will feel more complete. Heliborne infantry and towed mortars for me is gonna add a bit of tactical depth. That procedural system is exciting as well…. As much as I’m “okay” with Wargame Red Dragon, it feels so tedious to have to command so many units at once in situations where suffering heavy casualties is not optimal. It’s also the reason why I’m not getting into WARNO. However who thought that having prototype units was cool? It’s proven useful for some 2000s decks. So yeah, thanks Eugen. 😊

Pretty good review. You had me right up to the point where in the Regiments review you spoke of 113's (a US army very lightly armored personnel carrier - APC) was reigning hell down on the enemy unit. Hyperbole? - definitely - and it had me laughing out loud in my chair. A 113 has but one 50 cal (some times maybe two if the crew is creative) 50 caliber MG as it's armament and believe me when I say as good as a 50 cal is in a battle, on an APC like an M-113 it would be used for self defense or recon by fire(possible but unlikely) and probably not even then. OH yeah and by 1989 113's were almost all gone in the US Army and the ones left weren't used for much more than light support, behind the lines not expected to make contact with the enemy, training or to carry troops like cooks around. In your defense and IMO most game developers are lucky if they even know which end of a firearm the fired projectile pops out of (my example of hyperbole) let alone TO&E's of combat units. The same holds true of a lot of gamers I've played with (especially the sub 20's version). The exception is guys who actually served in the army or marines. Caveat: there are 113's in service in a variety of not USA nations. S. Korea comes to mind as an example. Anyway - keep up the good work - just dial back on the hyperbole a bit (good advice for a majority of TH-cam creators so you're not alone there).
@@werewolf1336 The US during this time had three types of Armored/Mechanized formations: M1s and Bradleys (I think all the Armored Divisions had this set up, and maybe some of the other infantry divisions) M1s and M113s (Not as common, but still plentiful) M60s and M113s (This is mostly National Guard formations, but again; I don't have the entire US CENTAG OOB on the top of my head so take this with a grain of salt)

Warno is very similar to SD44 in that its a smaller scale force and no off-map artillery. The only things it takes from WG:RD are the capture zones and FOBs. So you might be in luck.
@@AytchZero oh really? Hmm. Though of course the capture zones were one of the things I really didn’t like about WG:RD. I loved the more map control style of SD44/2.
@@chaoswolfgaming5591 would probably be a mixed bag for you then. Although you do not have to keep a command unit in a zone anymore (I think that was true in WG:RD if memory serves) - once its capped its capped until someone uncaps it.
