A little help. You can't use auxiliary battalions to initiate combat, you can only use main battalions. That's why you couldn't attack the weakened battalions on Alsfeld's right.
I played both sides of the campaign (NATO and PACT) The NATO side starts out a bit difficult (first 2-3 turns) and then it gets easier and easier. With PAKT it was exactly the other way around. It started off relatively easy. It was ok until turn 7-8, but after that the NATO keeps sending better and better units and I still only have the T-55 as far as tanks are concerned. In any case, it was very difficult to bring the points home. Hope Vulcan also plays with PAKT afterwards. I would be happy to see that.
Started noticing during my run that T55s have been performing extremely well against the hordes of abrams. Some smoke to get in range and a mass push and I am trading 1 for 1 with abrams, with about forty percent more tanks.
@@AgentK-im8kei was struggling against those abramses on medium, can't imagine how terrifying they are on hard. Was able to kill them only with my Mig-23bn. Also m3 bradleys are real pain in ass
PAKT Side is a bit a rough, but I got lucky in mine by cornering 11th ACR, once it was bypassed I took Alsfeld without a fight and besides some fighting on the flanks, NATO never attempted a full on counter-attack because I was too entrenched. This was on hard, every battle against ACR tho required all the air and arty to keep losses low.
For some reason, I decided to check if Alsfeld has an airport of some sort, and it so happens that it does have an airstrip, corresponding to the area the battalion got attacked in. However it is only a grass strip for sport aircraft.

You say it doesn't matter if you lose transports. Is it not like WGRD campaign where if you lose the transport you don't "lose" the infantry but they would be gone from your forces on the campaign map after? Like if you bring in scouts in a truck and lose the truck, you would have one less scout later. I know you can't bring in units without transports like SD2 and that was WGRD's way of dealing with that situation so i was wondering if it stuck in WARNO.
Wpuld actually be kinda cool to see a mod that places NO-GO zones around "UN Protected Structures" which are basically schools, hospitals, and churches. Putting a unit inside or hitting the structure will cost points. Like having to pay a fine for committing a war crime.
you should use more airplanes in battles, its like you forget you have plenty of planes, the first battle you wasted alot of units that could have been saved if you striked with planes
After like 10 years, I come back to see Eugen keeps doing the same 😂😂. They wanted from their beggining to make Red Dragon, but by then, early access games or live services weren't too common, so they did an europe campaign and released a true early access game as Wargame European Escalation, meanwhile they kept working and once they finished jets, they released Wargame Airland Battle which could have been just a expansion but they sold it as a new game, then kept working and when they had boats, they released the third game, all of them at full price. The best part was that Naval mechanics were broken and they were unable to fix it, later they added new factions but several mechanics were still broken. Now I see Warno and what I see is Airland battle again with a few new mechanics and maps and they sell it as a New game... When I see the same problems with missiles behaviour since the first game 12 years back, same problems with accuracy showing a value that does not show reality when units open fire, the same problems with infantry and minimal development since then and the answer is a new rework on maps to reduce forest to make infantry weaker... This is what I call a scam, from the point of view of someone who played the first 3 titles, for someone who found this game recently it seems decent even a fun game but don't expect too much from them, they will abandon this game soon to release a new one as soon as they have fixed some bugs or balanced this one.
ok so i tried this campaign and tbh IT SUCKS, you are basically overwhelmed by an ennemy so much more powerfull in numbers and variety of units and you here are stuck with JUST tanks how are you supposed to win when the ennemy is holding the captured area with infantry in buildings ????
