- Kuroko no Basket is easily one of the best sports animes out right now. With highlighting so many characters personalities and skill sets It’s hard not to compare each character in KnB to players who played in the NBA. Now i did this video a while back and let’s just say we have some major improvements to make.
If you disagree with any of these comparisons feel free to comment your opinions down below

Thank You for Watching
i could probably see Akashi as lsiah Thomas too. Leader of an infamous team, one of the best handles in his generation, and OG point god
I was gonna say this exact thing, Isiah was a bully just like Akashi
I completely agree, CP was a decent pick but he's definitely missing that intimidation factor that IT would. Also the rings 💀
I think the ONLY reason why akashi is never compared to Isiah Thomas is because their is a character aka bad boy hanamiya who is very obviously based off Isiah Thomas and nickname is even the Isiah team infamous nickname which was the bad boy pistons
just wished Aomine could've been MJ cuz MJ makes one of the most ridiculous shots and is the ace of a team also Kise looked up to Aomine while Kobe looked up to MJ then copied his style of play
Mj didnt have the handles and flashy shots like kyrie and ai tho
got a point there tho
I feel like the kukuro basketball characters are a mix of 2 nba players Murasikabara has wilts body but Shaqs personality midorima has klays body but stephs shooting and aoinme plays like ai with the speed and the dribbling but dunks like Jordan
Also story wise think this is widely based in micheal Jordan era where quinine is Jordan kukuro is pippen Akashi is Isiah Thomas Larry is Midorima etc
@@jiyghkjsduhjkbkbwatch MJ's historic Bulls mixtape... he had more flashy shots than Kyrie and AI COMBINED
kagami is definitely blake, the thing is when blake moved to detroit, he developed every other part of his game, blake really was a one dimensional layer who brute forced his way to the basket on the clippers, but he did work on his craft and develoed post moves and a jumpshot, just like kagami
The problem is that Blake lost a lot of his athleticism by then. Kagami was definitely inspired than Blake but then developed further from that starting point.
If Blake had kept his freakish athleticism, the comparison would work perfectly.
@@ballislife9924Vince, but actually reaching his potential
Tetsuya Kuroko - John Stockton
Ryota Kise - Paul George
Murasakibara - Shaquille O'Neal
Shintaro Midorima - Klay Thompson
Taiga Kagami - LeBron James
Seijuro Akashi - Kyrie Irving
Daiki Aomine - Kobe Bryant
I see Aomine like Jordan: Both offensively unguardable, athletic beasts who could make trick shots and could enter the zone to be clutch. Also they both were condescending to teammates and took time off at the peak of their powers- Aomine from practice & MJ from the league when he went to go play baseball & when he retired for the 2nd time after the 6th chip. This also makes the Kobe/Kise comparison work even more since Kise copied most of his moves from Aomine originally.
This is understandable
I agree with almost all of them aside from Aomine, I don't know but for some reason my pick would be T-Mac, especially with Kise being Kobe and Kagami being Bron
I wouldn't say kagami is LeBron. LeBron has significantly more stuff in his game than kagami. Kagami relied on pure athleticism and has a bad shooter and playmaker. He's closer to a Prime Black griffin
@GetCaughtLacking young Bron wasn't as skilled as he is now, yes still way more skilled than Kagami but I think that there are definitely similarities between them
@@noelbate505 at that age LeBron still had a shot and playmaking which kagami doesn't have
John Stockton was able to walk around Barcelona in the 92 olympics and not have people go crazy compared to mj
So the kuroko comparisons is actually accurate for me
Midorima's endurance, defence and handles are overshadowed by his shooting. Plus, in the later part of the series, he made his 3 pointers as decoys to make sure the team wins. Him and Kise had good character development throughout the series.
And about Aomine, though sounds absurd comparing a forward to point guards, AI and Kyrie are the closest comparisons in terms of skills. Yes, he does have great dunking ability, but his main gig is his agility and handles, which makes them the closest to him.
midorima is literally a perfect comparison. i was thinkin of that too
also for akashi i believe allen iverson, and isiah thomas are alternatives to him. my case for ai is that his crossover, the *special move* made opponents fall a LOT, even michael jordan, isiah thomas is very similar to him too however
aomine is very similar to kobe and michael jordan. michael jordan loves the game, kobe does too. kobe can make crazy shots, and kise i think looked up to him which is a great case for being mj
AI never made MJ fall
@@jphugo15yes he did he crossed mj it's one of the most famous crossovers in NBA history
@@OtakuRECAP763 never said he didn't get crossed over fool, I said he didn't fall
i think if its on the cross and what it did to their generation similar to how akashi's cross was viewed it has to be penny hardaway over A.I for akashi
ai was never a play maker
I can definitely see akashi being Allen Iverson or ZEKE. Due to his handles and shot making. Also mentality would put him with them.
Both can also takeover games when needed (25 pts against Lakers = Akashi Zone vs Seirin)
Unlike most knb comparison videos you clearly know what your talking about and know the players play styles. Your analysis is pretty on point except for Kuroko because he literally has no comparison, I can’t think of a single player that comes close to his play style.
Job well done though I’m definitely tuning in to more of your videos ❤️
Thanks fam! I get your Kuroko take. It’s impossible to find a player with no presence😂
Jose Alvorado has no presence
for 5 seconds a game. and he isn't a playmaker
@@matchupmediaI mean there probably is a player like that but he’s just doing a good job cause we don’t know him
Stockton was a good companion idk what youre talking about
I personally think Kuroko compares better to Jason Kidd’s game. Kidd did have some offensive game but not very much. What made him so great though was the fact that he was a generational passer and a great defender too. He also was a perfect floor raiser and sidekick.
I love your Kuroko content, keep it up my guy🫡
Thanks Fam!
As a sports and anime fan this was a great video. Aomine and AI is a definite great comparison
Production getting better every video🔥
Thanks fam! This really motivating to hear!
really great vídeo, um exited to see the 5 kings comparison
Thank you! I gotchu!
Bro this video is so well made! Please keep going ❤
Thanks fam!
only thing that I would change would be maybe akashi as someone like isiah thomas, or bob cousy, or just a NBA champion in general. Sadly cp3 never won a chip and I feel like winning is a huge part of akashi
Man only thing I would have said is Isaiah Thomas (zeke) for Akashi
I agree this not a bad comparison
isiah or isaiah? cuz isiah thomas and the bad boys pistons is definitely hanamiya and kirisaki dai ichi💀
The background music goes hard with the vid.
Thanks fam
Aomine could be Iverson but so could Akashi.. crosses up anyone and everyone the GOM fears him like the whole league feared getting crossed by AI
(PS I do agree that he elevates any team he plays with like CP3 does)
Great video !!!
Personally I'd go with Giannis for Kagami
I’ve never heard the instrumental for Titty & Dolla like this, and I like it
Legit 💯 I think the comparisons should be Stockton, Bird/Klay, Kobe, Shaq, Blake, CP3, Jordan.
Aomine would be T-Mac/PG13 with Kyrie’s handles, Kagami more like Giannis/Zion style 😂😂😂.
Rajon Rondo also works for Kuroku imo
Man, i like your videos\
Thanks fam!
Overall i enjoyed the comparisons, but i would put MVP D Rose as aomine mainly because they are extremely agile and fast, great dunkers but also mid range scorers. I think akashi is the only player who has no comparison, because besides being the best passer in the series, he is also one of the best dribblers and the best perimeter defender. Blake griffin and kagami is spot on. Wilt and murasakibara as well
Kuroko also has that vanishing shot and drive that you forgot about
I couldn’t even seen Luka Doncic mixed with Kyrie for Aomine, with Luka’s circus shot making ability
Dude, this was so on point! I thought about Kobe when watching Kise all those years ago
Akashi vs Isaiah Thomas, kagami vs MJ
Aomine vs Kyrie..
I really like the video.. Thanks
We both have the exact same thoughts. Great channel
Thank you!
hear me out scottie pippen could be a comparison for kise the all round point forward playstyle makes sense also prime rondo lowkey gives akashi vibes especially on defense overall a great vid nonetheless 😂
Great Vid I'd suggest Kuroko could be Jason Williams as well tbh
Maybe you should do comparisons for other characters like Serin or the Uncrowned Kings
STILL GETTING KAGAMI WRONG KAGAMI IS GIANNIS GIANNIS!! IN HIS ATTITUDE PLAYSTYLE MOST OF THIER SKILL UTILIZING THEIR BODIES, PHYSICAL SKILLS AND ATHLETICSM AND THE FACT THEY WHERE BOTH PROJECT PLAYERS FOR THIER TEAMS giannis dont give a fuck about who is the best or what the status quo was he goes at anyone and everyone and always went at the hoop with the intent to decimate BOTH HAVE INSANE AGRESSION AND AS big powerfowards their handles are insanely slick they are both the defensive hubs of their teams and offensive focals they didnt have prestige on thier names before entering the league came in witha chip on thier shoulder saying they where gonna be the best just watch and folowed through both hotheaded and loud SUPER PASSIONTE BUT ALSO NICE AND FRIENDLY like come on bro it was right there perfect alley oop and you keep fumblin DO BETTER BRO AND NOW LATER ON THEY BOTH ARE ABLE TO DO A LIL BIT OF EVERYTHING EVEN hit bail out perimeter shots lol they dish the ball very well and efficiently for big power fowards like come one I CAN SEE THE BRON IN HIM BUT THE BLAKE GRIFFIN???!!! U PULLED THAT SHIT OUT THE SHADOW REALM HE IS GIANNIS TO A TEEEEE!!!
FINALLY
Hahaha dont forget bro both of them Barely does a Jumpshot in games 🤣
But more in practice but overall your analysis is spot on
There is a compilaton of kuroko and ginobili making the same passes in game.
I feel that the comparision to stockton is the most accurate to kuroko tho.
You could say Kagami is 2019 Blake Griffin imo
Midorima is more Larry bird.
I think Kagami was more like Vince Carter
carter chould shoot, kagami basically cant shoot at all
@@steven8269 Kagami could shoot. He's an above average shooter.
Such a good video
I have no argument with the recent comparison
Kagami for me is basically michael jordan. I mean look how far kagami can dunk. Its really similar to michael jordan. For kise. I might say that hes lebron. I mean. Did you even see the video where lebron made 3 full court shots in a row? And when he shot that. IT WAS LIKE A NORMAL SHOT TO HIM. For aomine. I might say hes kobe. The reason to this because aomine barely passes to anyone. He also made a behind the backboard shot like in the anime. He has done a lot of fadeaways. Also. You have seen him see ridiculous double clutch layzzz. For akashi. Basically kyrie irving. I mean this guy can break ankles easily because of his ankles bruh
We want more
I don't see clips from the Kuroko movie where all of GOM play together with Kagami.
I would say aoumine was more of a James harden but we had the same thought for just about everything else
Excellent video
Thank you!
Tmac would’ve been a better comp for aomime kyrie and ai are pgs
You shouldn't disrespect any NBA player by comparing them to Kuroko, someone like him will never make it to any competative league, let alone the NBA.
Cap
I'd add Paul George to Aomine's comparisons
WHOOOPIEEEE IM THE 100th LIKE!!!!!!
Yessirr
what's the song at the start of the vid??
It’s a beat made by a TH-cam called the Theorist
Lowkey, not very personality ways but tmac could be aomine skill ways
I’d argue that Kuroko is more like Rondo in terms of skillset. Stockton had a reliable three point shot for time as opposed to Rondo’s poor jumpshot. Rondo’s poor shooting, excellent playmaking, and great stealing ability make him more similar to Kuroko imo.
Remember when Kobe said the league would be in trouble if AI was 6 ft 5? Aomine is literally that
I see what you mean with Stockton, but I think they combined Stockton and Magic Johnson, cuz Johnson has those passes ma boi
I feel like akashi should also be AI.
Hmm why though?
@@matchupmedia Honestly I think because he has the finishing and the handles.
@@envixity115s akashi also can dunk
When it comes to Akashi I think of Tim Hardaway.
Kuroko is I Ricky Rubio comp to me good at getting steals and assists not much else Stockton could shoot like crazy
I think skills wise he's far off but the presence and the passing vision and making everyone play to their max potential, can read everybody so he makes the right choices every single time and shut down anything offensively and defensively? Plus he can turn it up a notch when he wants to win? Only to rely on himself? Akashi is LeBron James. LeBron just doesn't break ankles but he will destroy everything and everyone piece by piece. He killed multiple dynasties, remember the pacers, the hawks, the celtics, the raptors, the celtics again? Plus when he wants to, he can turn the dial to 11 and just win by himself. He single handedly defeated the warriors. Leading all statistical categories. Vibes wise? Akashi has to be LeBron
Lebron's scoring is too focused on athletisism and postplay. If you want to just compare in terms of playmaking then sure.
@@IchigoKurosaki911 i meant the vibe. Also Lebron is an all arounder so is akashi. But i meant mostly the vibe. He can improve his teammates or if he just gave up on them dominate opponents himself if his teammates are extra doodoo
I think Murisakibara can also be bared to Dwight Howard because of their sugary diet and their strength and power
This is great
Yessirrr
@matchupmedia yea I like the comparison really
Lebron shoots 37% outside 3 feet from the basket, and 34% from 3. I don't know how strong kagami's midrange is but it's definitely stronger than lebron's
white chocolate also works for kuroko
I think Murasakibara perfect match is Ben Simmons, they both are fast center who rely on their advantages, got way too good then start to get lazy, like losing interest on basketball. Shaq is lazy but he is not that lazy lazy, he still be very passionate on basketball hes hungry for the win, Murasakibara in other hand same like Ben Simmons a very high potential player that's just lazy and lost his passion and sadly didn't met their full potential.
What player would aomine be as a sf/pf
Midorima is like Kyle Korver
Kagami is like Giannis too
A 3 point shooting master with insane shit talk to boot? Gimme Reggie Miller
i thought murasakibara was more of kareem but i can see shaq
🔥🔥🔥
Kagame is an obviously Kevin Garnett. Like that’s the objective answer
Aomine is what kyrie would be if he was 6'5"
Author stated that Aomine was basically kobe
Chris Paul hasn't won shit, Akashi is purely Isiah Thomas personality and skill wise. That dude was him for the piston team.
Akashi- A.I😊
Can you make jaberwock
kagami should be tim duncan ngl
What abt Steve Nash for kuroko
I thought akashi were resembles white chocolate
Aomine is literally MJ lol
Midorima should’ve been dame ngl
do the role players
make no mistake curry has nothing on midorima.....and kise is actually the most op player in the anime
Kuroko could be Ricky Rubio
Amine could be compared to Tracy too
Nah man i think Kagami is more Closer to Giannis
Both of them Barely does a Jumpshot
Both of them start of as Complete Nobodies until slowly and surely they starting getting Reps and start competing with other Superstars
Athletic and a High Flyer
Run and Dunk play style
Only shoots a Jumpshot when they are Hot or in the Zone
Since you already compare Akashi to Cp3 so why not Giannis to Kagami 2021 Finals are the closest thing we seen a Live Action Rakuzan vs Seirin hell one of Giannis Key Plays in the Finals is basically an Alleyoop 🤣 similar to Kuroko and Kagami against Akashi
The most obvious comparison they only both shoot Jumpers in Practice 🤣
Actually doesn't even make in the top 10 top sports anime check out these two Ahiru no Sora and Slam Dunk but you're also entitled to your own opinion.
Midorima is def kyle korver
Kuroko is No Forward 😢Not even close bro .he is Rondo with a real invisible shot
Kagami Giannis?
you copied my friend's logo
Lonzo ball could have been kuroko
No cap.
Chris paul 😭😭
aomine is kobe. full stop bruh
Aomine is comparable to Kevin Durant as well
John stockton is a dog mann 🙃🙃 bad comp
