Hi Sandy thanks for taking us along on the trip, very enjoyable. Mandy will soon be up and about tap-dancing away mate, send her all our regards and wish her well.
Thanks Sandy, brilliant video as always. Luv the local history stuff and commentary as you ride. Completely absorbing and totally enjoyable. Take care out there. Cheers. Neil 🏍👍
Thanks Sandy, what a nice little video of your area, it's hardly been the weather for a ride out of late so all credit to you. Hope herself will be up and dancing soon 😀 Rgds, Peter.
I'm sure Chug feels much better. Been for a nice run, then a lovely shower afterwards. I mean, one does feel better after a nice run and a good shower doesn't one? No doubt, Chug feels the same. Lucky bike having a loving caring owner!
Very enjoyable short ride Sandy. Thanks for brightening up an icy cold day here, ( Toronto) , waiting for a snow storm to hit. And was interested to learn the whereabouts of Ian Fleming gravesite. Hope you wife is recovering well and that 2022 is a better year for all of us. Cheers, and stay safe. Dan. ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Great video and my outing with Dickie and yourself on Friday. Love riding with you both and learning knife making tips , The best apprenticeship I’ve ever had… 👍🏼🏍🏆 thanks again for you and your family’s hospitality
Thank you for sharing 🤪. Glad Mandy is getting back on her feet, send my best. Enjoyed VL very much. We haven't been out yet, But look forward to the day. Started the bike's and they are all clean; Happy days. --3 tonight extra log on the fire me thinks lol. Take care to all.
Great to see your surrounding area. Yes, you’re right about getting out on the bike to clear the mind, and feel in touch with nature and it’s elements.
Thanks for the shout out Sandy, great video, just shows that you don't have to ride miles to enjoy your rides. I am the no 1 James Bond fan so thanks for that. Glad the Mrs is on the mend, looking forward to the next video.
A lovely ride out that sandy , with some cracking photos 👌oh and free maintenance section thrown in aswell 👏👏👏 nearly took my bike out the other day , then had second thoughts after I'd seen the state of my truck with all the salt 👍 best wishes to mandy 👌
I think it makes more sense to keep the bikes in the garage when the roads have salt on them Martin, but I just wanted an excuse to use my new bike drier:)
Could have been one of my rides Sandy. Jump on the Himalayan and see where it takes you. Ive discovered places on my doorstep I never knew existed because of that little bike. Never fails to lift my spirits, put a smile on my face and as you say clear the head. Great stuff 👍🏻
Love the sound of the bike, the feel of the shift, coolness of the air. I have never been to England but you give us all a window to this part of the world. The narrow roadways give me anxiety though lol.

That was a nice little ride and some beautiful scenery. Ian Flemings grave was an interesting treat. We received a little ice storm here today. roads will not be safe for a day or two.
Great to hear from you again Sandy, and pleased that the good lady is on the mend. Really good video mate. Lifted my spirits also. By the way, don't feel that you have to keep producing videos. We all understand off days, and sometimes a rest is what you need. Stay safe. Peter

Very nice ride Sandy, great scenery and very interesting area. And we all run a little short of mojo at times so you are definitely not alone my friend. On your normal day, you probably have more mojo than almost anybody out there. Don't fret when it runs out at times, you know that it will all return quickly. Liked the video and nice to see some local history. Was also nice to see how you showed respect by walking behind the headstones and not over the graves 👍 A lot of people don't know this or don't care 🙄

Enjoyed the ride out. Mojo is a fairly important part of video making and as you say it’s not always there. I feel the same at times and just walk away from it for a while. It usually comes back fairly quickly but some of the comments TH-camrs have to put up with at times can blow the flame out. Glad to hear the ride cheered you up. Thanks Ken/Carol your spot on. I've been on the Tube a few years now and I guess I've kinda grown a thick skin with regard to some odd and nasty comments. Glad to see you out and about Sandy hope the Mrs gets better soon. This old damp grey weather getting to us all but sometimes you have to give yourself a shakeup and jump on the bike to bring your senses back to life. Stay safe and be careful of thorns from those hedge cuttings 👍. Good job 😂
Nice one Sandy, sometimes you just gotta ride! I have never felt worse after a ride, it always relaxes me, washing off is part of the ride really, in winter. I dont have a `drier` i just use my compressor to carefully blow it off, then a good squirt of wd40 (i buy it by the gallon). quick tip - a squirt of wd40 on a saw blade, and it cuts wood without jamming. all the best!
Keep your chin up mate. Life has its ups & downs but it sounds like your having adventures on your trusted Enfield. I hope your wife will be feeling better soon. I find my Bible comforting and of course a good ride always helps too!

Sounds like you got the January blues like us most I think. Glad you had a blast on chug to get rid of the cobwebs and keep you sharp. The Cub is a great little bike but perhaps it's cruising speed is a little low. The Himalayan will travel at 60mph all day long and will carry a heavier load giving you more options. Also it's got some off road credentials, is fairly rugged, returns 80mpg and easy to maintain.
Brilliant really enjoyed this video. I picked up my Himalayan just before Christmas and have been out and about with my camera trying to complete my running in mileage and capture a few images along the way. I totally agree with you about the cold and the filthy condition the bike gets in after a run. Best wishes to Mandy and hope her leg is well on the mend.
@@WiltshireMan I think workhorse sums the bike up nicely, it’s a great bike for tootaling along the lanes at a leisurely pace taking in the scenery and atmosphere.
Sandy, it's a sign of Country Life these days, mechanized Agriculture and warm cabs.. where there still is Farming. My Dad could not only laid hedges, but shear them with a staff hook, not to mention the annual ditch digging... why we've flood today. I've his and granddads billhooks' and hatchets' and still use them, sadly in the last move have lost his staff hook, rare in it was left handed, the beveled edge to the flat back blade. Most interesting your trip out. I was keen to see Lechlade, as would pass through there, Burford and Charlbury on way to brother in law at Stonesfield and taking Woodstock, never had time for Blenheim!!!. Cheese Wharf.. was the shipment of cheese along the Thames, as had been a lot of cargos to and from London. Ian Fleming died at age 56, early morning of 12 August 1964-his son Caspar's 12th birthday. Great to be out with you looking around some old stomping ground. I did hedge laying for a few years myself around some family land remember how hard it was. thanks for sharing
We follow a lot of your trips as we are in next county, been to the cheese wharf and buscot, you could of gone past the cheese wharf and stopped at the roadside on left just before bridge, then 2 minute walk to riverside next to a lock, picnic tables and toilet favourite spot for us to boil the kettle! also the nice pub at radcot by the double hump back bridges
Firstly I'm sorry to hear about your wife's mishap, I hope she is making a speedy recovery. Another great video, nice to see Ian Flemings final resting place. Thanks for making this, good job.
Great to see you out and about again Sandy. Loved the video, you have inspired me to get out on two wheels next weekend, whatever the weather throws at us. Unfortunately I will be human powered though!
Good on you for getting out - and thanks for taking us along with you. "The roads are filthy" - aye that. We've had some lovely dry (not raining) and bright days recently, but the roads are absolutely not conducive to two wheeled adventures (not for my money, anyway). I don't know the science of it, but it's the same (and expected) each winter: as soon as the salt goes down on the roads, all the moisture, oil, grease, rubber, and mud is "locked in" and they might as well be... well, icy! Lost your Mojo, and then you sww Joe. You should have stopped and asked Joe for some mo' joe for your mojo! (sorry, Joe).

Nice area and a great little ride. Chug is looking good. I've named my Himalayan "Waynetta" and someone in the reveal video recommend I check out your channel. Glad I found it, and I've subscribed. Hope your partner gets well soon.
For the colder days I've just added a pair of heated gloves to my itinerary - bought them for 30 poonds or so on an auction site - they came with battery holders but I converted them to a 5v USB power plug connection. I can plug them into my usb charger on the bike or run them off a power-bank. I like them, they're very "Goldilocks", not too warm, not too cold, just right... Blue Skies...
@@WiltshireMan It's also possible to buy 5v heating pads with power cabling, they're much cheaper but when they're placed in a glove, will only warm the back of the hand and not the fingers. My problem is that when my hands get too cold, they start cramping up, so a bit of warmth is very welcome. Cheers
Poor old chug covered in salt. I’ll go out on my bike whatever the weather, but as soon as they put salt on the road it will stay locked up in the garage. I also have the same drier as you Mr W. 👍
Nice video Sandy. What other channel would show the final resting place of Ian Fleming and inform on the etiquette of hedge laying? Fabulous. I have used Scottoiler FS365 good stuff, but prefer ACF50.

Nice to take a break every now and then, especially in January. Good to hear that Mandy is doing well, little and often.... Nice ride out mate
Well lookes like both our nations are settling in for the remainder of winter. we had -9F below last night. yesterday the high was only 7F. even thught I was born and raised in New England, bit nippy for these old bones. but hey! on on the White side of the snow! so narry a complaint from me! Thanks Sandy for the nice ride and showing us Ian's grave, I'm a big James Bond fan. read the books before I seen the movies. Glad to hear Mandy is on the mend. pass along our sentiments. and 73 ! old Chum we'll see you on the next video but would rather hear you on the air some time! 73 gud dx de Ellis WA1RKS
Thats cold Ellis, the problem with the UK is dampness, when it gets cold the dampness seems to make it feel worse
Happy that Mandy's on the mend
She's doing well now Bee, able to walk a short distance without crutches:)
Glad to hear your wife's leg is getting better. Lovely tour of your local area and seeing the Enfield chugging along. Stay safe and look forward to the next installment of Wiltshire Man.
another great video
i believe that the 2 of us must have almost exactly the same birthday
gorgeous area
appreciate the sharing
fully understand about the FADING MOJO at times
Mines in October
@@WiltshireMan mine is October 3rd
Glad to hear Mandy is doing better. I wonder if Ian Fleming had any idea how big the James Bond franchise would be?
Hey enjoyed you video, keep them coming!
Thanks, Sandy. Any MoJo you manage to muster, it greatly appreciated. Love these tour videos. 👍🙂🏍️
More to come!...I hope:)
Glad your wife on the mend Sandy. You'll get your MoJo back. There are a heap of people out there who follow your escapades with enthusiasm all around the world including New Zealand downunder. How's the paramotor going? Love those videos. All the best for 2022 mate.👍
Stopped paramotor flying for now, bad hip
Nice area and a great little ride. Chug is looking good. I've named my Himalayan "Waynetta" and someone in the reveal video recommend I check out your channel. Glad I found it, and I've subscribed.
Hope your partner gets well soon.
Thanks Noobiker, glad to have you onboard, got some plans for moto trips this year, stay tuned:)
You're ready now for the Isle of Man TT. I'll be participating myself on my Yamaha Teneré 700 in the open class.
Those gloves sound great
@@WiltshireMan It's also possible to buy 5v heating pads with power cabling, they're much cheaper but when they're placed in a glove, will only warm the back of the hand and not the fingers. My problem is that when my hands get too cold, they start cramping up, so a bit of warmth is very welcome. Cheers
Great video as always 👍
Keep your chin up ole boy! Best to all…Cam
Cheers Cam not too bad, looking forward to the warmer weather though. Any plans to get a bike yourself?
Woooww..
Poor old chug covered in salt. I’ll go out on my bike whatever the weather, but as soon as they put salt on the road it will stay locked up in the garage. I also have the same drier as you Mr W. 👍
I just wanted an excuse to use my bike drier:)
@wiltshireman. 😆👍
👍 👍 👍 😎 🙂
Cobwebs blown away? Extra careful on those wet, muddy back-lanes, slippery.
Buscot house has the terracotta men!
The police are looking for you 🤣
Haa, I thought that was a funny sign
Nice video Sandy. What other channel would show the final resting place of Ian Fleming and inform on the etiquette of hedge laying? Fabulous. I have used Scottoiler FS365 good stuff, but prefer ACF50.
I'd say ACF50 is a better product but takes a bit more applying but certainly lasts longer
My beloved Indian Vintage, Spokahantas, has been in the shed for nearly 3 weeks on a battery tender. As soon as our roads start looking clear, we get more snow. I'm going insane.
Soon be spring Brian:)
@@WiltshireMan I'm more worried for the bike's mental health. (Mine has long since gone.)
Yep, there's nothing better to clear the head as 2 wheels and the elements.
I love my two wheeled adventures:) Hope you and the Bright rider are keeping well and warm
@@WiltshireMan It's been grey and misty over here for weeks. No fun riding in such conditions.
