    From where did you get such detailed structural analysis and detailed drawings of the different parts of the Howrah Bridge?
    I would like to know the source, for a more detailed study, if you don't mind sharing the source with me 😊

    why there isn't any railway connecting shealdah station with howrah station ? (now there will be metro but not suburban trains)

    • @sgtwnbdg
      @sgtwnbdg 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Earlier there was train connecting howrah and sealdah which ran through bali dankuni santragachi , but after this nda government came they suspended the train citing low rider ship, though there was not a directly rail line. My estimate is following,
      Most of the rail line was layed after they established the city of Kolkata, all the station and rail line were placed on city outskirts when there was firmland there, places like dumdum, Jadavpur, Ballygunge which are now considered a part of Kolkata were firmland, while west side of sealdah station was already a buzzling and dense city where it was very costly to built railway, imagine you destroying your capital just to build a railline which was not a short travel option back then, hardly anyone would take stream engine trains to reach howrah, for long distance trains it was easy to build the link somewhere where there was firmland hence the link was created in naihati and Bali.
      It is only an estimation
