So delightful seeing you all having fun! Oddly, this game reminds me of 7 Wonders: Architects in that the decision space is so simple, but it is so easy and quick and somehow (strangely) satisfying!
It's not that weird, since PlayPunk is Antoine Bauza's new publishing studio and this is their first title. I completely agree with your assessment and can see little touches that feel like Antoine added them - especially the map, feels like the cat from 7W: Architects, the exciting fun thing for younger players to fight over, even if it's not that important. (Just happened tonight when I told the game to my daughter.)
This game has become a big hit at my local board game cafe for an icebreaker or end-of-the-night title. Entertaining video to see you all play. Cheers and keep up the good work!
Just proving a clean ship is a happy ship! Love the intro by Dave, great family game might buy it because I think it would be an easy quick one to play end of night.
@@boardgamegeek I can finally stop stressing that my none of my teaches reach the faultless level of Dave's; now they're merely woefully inferior rather than chronically inferior ;)
Ιt's a fun game but is it better than Carcassone or Cascadia? Probably not, so is it worth buying if you already have those two in your collection? I suppose it depends on how many family friendly tile laying games you need.
Nikki was shorted 1 coin @ 21:27. She should have received 4 coins instead of 3. 2 for the navigator, 1 for the map, and 1 for the monkey when she placed it. Also @ 30:55, Aaron didnt get his coin for placing monkey. These didn't affect the outcome but scores should have been Linclon 44, Dave 38, Nikki 36, & Aaron 33.
[EDIT]- They spotted everything I just mention here and corrected it a minute later. [Original comment] Nikki missed out on 2 points around the 50 minute mark. She played a Monkey, flipping a tile to reveal another Monkey, which revealed a navigator, and she only scored the two coin the navigator earned her. Both monkeys should have earned her a coin each. As it happens, I believe Lincoln missed out on a Monkey coin during his turn earlier that same round. Monkeys are tough to keep track of! Heh.
Why are the men at the table always try to "help" the only woman? That dynamic is kinda gross. I really enjoyed the rest of the playthrough, the game looks like a bit of light fun, too.
Lincoln, Nikki P, Dave and Aaron? It's the dream team!
Not quite, Deborah makes a dream team
@@paulbrown6464 You're absolutely right.
Any combination of these 4 and/or Deborah 🎉
Dave is an excellent teacher, somehow concise while covering a lot of the edge cases.
Totally agree, definitely my favourite person to teach on 'Game Night'😊
Aaron, Dave always great to see you on the show please be on more often 🍀😊
Aaron looks ancient
@@paulbrown6464it’s just the beard
@@Jabree doesnt need it
@@paulbrown6464 It's not a matter of need, it's a matter of he can do whatever he wants with his body :)
The core four again!?!?!? Yes! This makes me so happy!!!! 😊😊😊

The Fab Four are back for reals? Thank you, Santa Claus ☺️☺️☺️
That's not Santa, it's Aaron
@@SethÚasarune Have you ever seen Santa and Aaron in the same room? I haven't
Great video, as always. Love watching you guys!

Love Captain Flip in our house!
I love the score count at the end!
But please leave it up for longer! It's only up for a few seconds, so it's easy to miss; maybe 15 or 20 seconds while scores are being discussed.
Cracking playthrough, guys! Very fun, as always.
Fun and easy game!!
Flip Flip Flipadelphia!
So nice to see the OG😁
In first game., Arron and Nicki missed out on a point by forgetting to score their monkey.
2nd game Lincoln should have 38. He didn't get his last navigator money. Cute game.
That's a flipping good game!
Nikki! I LOVE your t-shirt! Where did you buy it? Its so spooky cute! 😍
Looks like you forgot to edit a flub at 6:40 😂
Dang, I reviewed the edit last night and missed this. Oh well, you see how the sausage is made! Thanks for the note and for watching. -Lincoln

Good stuff
At 55:15, Lincoln should have scored an additional 2 points because he had a cartographer to go with the navigator.
The originals! Yay!
I can't wait to get this and then play with my metal scythe coins.
i was afraid of the gunner's greed, but then i realized get him and then pray to get a monkey so u'll flip him later ;))))

I love Lincoln's C3PO jersey! Gimme that
Check out Geeky Jerseys! -Lincoln

Fairy Tale Inn Reimplementation by the same designers?
Missed a few points here and there but don't think it changed the result.

Yup! Good catch.
32:49 Aaron should have scored his second lookout, down at the bottom, because there is no tile above it
He did. He noticed and corrected it a few moments later.

Lol....poor Dave, they forgot to edit out the Parrot flub.
You can tell Aaron is back, everyone starts telling Nicki what to do
AAAAAAAAAAARON!
Flip the monkey!
Aaron didn't get his 1 for the monkey in game 1.

Way too much randomness
So it's not for you, but we love it in our house. We've played a dozen games in four days. Fantastic fun for us.
